actually.. friday night too i saw them around there too.. they were doing over a commodore.. so least it's not *all* the imports. I think they are on a big revenue raise.. why exactly I don't know.. It's not as if a lot of the fatal accidents involving imports have been in QLD at all.

well it kind of does work.. i mean I don't do anything stupid through school zones anymore, seeing as the amount of times I have seen cameras and things has too much to bother risking it. whether that is saving lives who knows.. it is pretty chaotic after school, kids run around everywhere, mothers trying to park their trucks (stupid 4wds) without backing into a kid.. if they had more control (school wardens or something), and stop kids running around like maniacs, that would probably help as much as trying to slow the cars down. I know that is not so practical, still.

It's been rife with EVO's for years.. I think the actual majority are illegally imported.. I think once they are registered there isn't much they can do, but for years I don't think there has been a legit way of importing EVO's.. .

40km limits are ridiculous.. nobody obeys them I have observed.. and my car has trouble even staying at 40km/hr being an auto.. its almost too hard to keep driving applying the accelerator without stopping! 50km/hr is ok.. if u can't stop from 50 to 0 in about 1 second what diff is 40 going to make if you are note even paying attention in the first place? its the attention, not the speed you are going at. going 40km/hr my concentration totally goes out the window anyhow.. my mind tunes out.. i'm no longer driving, i may as well be walking.. its more dangerous than me going 100km/r

u need an r31 .. spent $100 on servicing last year.. gets 12L/100.. runs a treat and its 19 years old none of those in the list u posted above.. but only because i like to have something a little different. If you want something a "little more sporty" is any of them really going to cut the cake for long? in 12 months, you'll probably be after something else faster again..

no insurance.. the insurance is paying more to buy it locally.. the jap mechanical inspections aren't meant to be much chop most of the time. my car cost $7k to my door.. another $2k onroad.. I could sell it for $12k tomorrow..

the old mx7 boxes are mechanical speedo.. but will bolt up yeah.. old single synchros in all gears. Not really as strong as RB25det at all.. but they are out of a VL and nearly 20 years old by now..

I doubt it.. a single turbo off a GTR is fairly small on it's own and wouldn't really give much power to a 2L either. But in twin form they do quite well 2x S15 turbos would be interesting.. although in the end probably too expensive for the gain. Seeing as every other SR owner wants them, it's probably almost as cheap buying two separate aftermarket ones.. or even better an proven RB26dett twin turbo setup in the first place

screw bwcp on a saturday night.. 300 cars.. agg..

$350+post and its yours.. there is *nothing wrong* with this turbo.. shaft play is practically zero back or forward or sideways.. spins freely, no chips on any of the blades.. etc. I'm sick of people making stupid offers, when obviously they don't have the money for the turbo!
