  1. you're probably actually better with a smaller surface area, yet fatter.. I've got a 450x300x75 on mine, one of the reasons is I just didn't feel the need for a massive one unless I was chasing 300rwkw+ and I wanted as much response as possible .. does the trick fine
  2. looks good... damn, that's a pain in the ass! guess it gives you time to mod it a bit. yeah, gtrgeoff was making good quality ones, but he stopped making them as he was moving up here. Not sure if he will end up making them again up here or not. With mine, I am not sure if I forgot a few vital wires for the hicas, my hicas computer is broke, it's not compatible with the R33 ecu I'm using, or it's my boss kit I installed.. Either way it sends heaps of vibration through the car which is just shit for long distances. I can tell it's something HICAS related because sometimes you are going at 120, etc and it sits dead flat with no steering shake - usually after rounding a corner it can settle itself. And the light comes on eventually as well.
  3. I used to live near nerang (arundel).. now live down near the border by the beach. Did you ever get your r33 fixed and back on the road? Yeah, not so sure about those ebay ones - heard they can snap. But if this guy ends up piking, that's probably what I'll end up trying.
  4. yup.. rb25 has been running fine for 12 months now. Just don't go to any events anymore as haven't had much spare moula, and the fact it's like 90 mins to get to brisbane where nearly all of the events are. Car is paid off as of 2 weeks time, so can start wasting more money on it. The hicas is knackered as well which makes it a bugger to drive at anything past 100km/hr - so just waiting on that guy to finish those damn bars he got everybody to pay for and then knicked off somewhere (probably on all those deposits!)
  5. yeah, sales job without car = screwed want black 32 to put it in? you do all the work and pay for everything, I'll just watch m-okay? but I'm tempted by something else with an rb26 at the moment.. shall see.
  6. get a job you bum
  7. There is something wrong with your 10psi one, or somebody has bent or stuffed around with it before you got it. Mine has a 10psi actuator, and it does 10psi fine. Did you bypass your boost solenoid totally?
  8. Ridiculous anyhow.. It's the cops job to enforce that, not members of the public. If these people think there is inadequate numbers of police enforcing the road rules, then they should be campaigning to have more police enforcing the road rules. Not taking things into their own hands, as it will result in them getting physically attacked eventually, and putting their own lives at risk. All for what is a minor issue anyhow - the road toll is actually a fairly minor problem in our society, and has come down from massive numbers pre-80's to something that will always be fairly static. People (like these idiots) just need to accept this and stop believing the rhetoric on ACA, TT, the tabloids, etc which is targeted towards morons, and which makes things out as 'out of control'.
  9. After preferably an R33 starter motor (as it's newer), but may consider an rb20 one. Must be in working and tested condition. Max price I'm willing to pay is $150 -- above that I'll just get my old one rebuilt for not much more. tracked one down from a forum member, thanks for the replies
  10. Number #2 in 4 days from sunnybank plaza..
  11. I'd still own one though at the right price, as there isn't anything better for the price. But you need $10k in the bank to maintain it.
  12. well cars don't get hardly ever stolen with an immobiliser and/or alarm, simple.. that is why it's always raised, and why people should get their ass into gear and buy one if they don't have one.
  13. Dealer will give you a crappy price. You'll sell it, just will take more time. When do you need to sell it by?
  14. Actually nexus, they camp out on the highway, and actually film cars as they are driving.. so it's a little more than kiddies drifting around the local streets. Hence they got one of our work vehicles, and a stupid rant about 'responsible driving a company vehicle on our roads'. I'd like to see how many deaths involve a company passenger vehicle - I reckon it's close to zero. Also, considering most of their 'monitoring' is during daylight work hours, which a small percentage of when accidents occur, they're completely off track, like most other 'crusades' Country hicks with a 4x4 ? could fit the usual profile. Those that reckon sports cars are death traps, because their car can't get from 0-100 in less than 20 seconds, and tend to float all over the road, block vision of other drivers, etc, etc. But I reckon, probably the kids, or grand-kids car

  19. yeah, these guys are They already dobbed in one of our work vehicles in for pretty much doing nothing at all. They think they are law onto themselves, which to me means anybody can take the law onto these guys in whichever way they see fit.
  20. simple: nothing just keep it tidy.
  21. that TVR looks horrible.. stupid edges going on everywhere, overdone everything. Love it or hate it I guess.. "it looks like it was designed by a lunatic and hit with an axe" - I think Clarkson sums it up quiet well a 7L v8 sounds pretty nice too (top gear does z06: http://youtube.com/watch?v=x1vPPqOMY2w) .. All yours folks.. It says it doesn't have an airbag or ABS - which I believe are mandatory ADR's here, so I'd imagine it would be pretty difficult to import.
  22. Don't think I'm a fan of the looks.. much sexier?
  23. That's not really true.. After 10+ years and countless abuse, yup, they get kinda loose or die, but they're pretty strong overall compared to most other cars and take a bit of power.
  24. I beg to differ that it was not available on any model..
