  1. I don't believe you.. those photos are staged - you made them up! Didn't get anything down on the goldcoast at all that looked like hail  weird ass north goldcoast!
  2. carrot
  3. With a carrot??
  4. buy you can put comments in new the classifides! they're down the bottom!
  5. lol - i'm going to keep pushing on this Have a look here at the "whole cars forsale" section - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/classifie...hp?cat=2&page=1. Look how organised it is with the pictures all in one place. Straight away you can see all the cars, the price and decide which one might be worth checking out at a glance (just needs location in there) without having to click. Just like looking through the trading post or something.. can sort all of them by date, views, etc with one click. I am sure it could easily be modified to sort by price, search by location or the like. Much easier than clicking into 50 threads of pointless crap just to get to see what you want to, or know whether a photo is available, the price, etc.
  6. hail? there will be no hail.. wrong conditions..
  7. no R until I buy a house.. If I buy one before, I'll just have to sell it before the house anyhow (silly). I will send you a PM in a minute for some compliancers
  8. Then you might have to actually visit the classifides system to see the new posts once a day then .. not that hard Damn tribe! people get so used to their old way of doing things, any change is all too difficult. Old buggers!
  9. lotta dickheads.. just instant ban if they do that.. lol bumping is useful to give your item more prominance and make an effort (not 3 times a day.. most places have a 24 hour rule). I've had stuff advertised for weeks and weeks and somebody goes "shit you had that?" and I have to tell them "I advertised it in the forums for like a month!!". Under this new system, people only look at the new ads, as people are usually too lazy to search back for other items they may be interested in.
  10. all forums have hidden areas too.. they should have 1/2 a brain to realise that.
  11. People in QLD regularly drive 130km/hr on the motorway up here and don't get booked, and its pretty safe actually. Unless it was a uniform Australia wide thing, I can't see it going through. They are just going to fit modified speedos to new cars sold in Victoria? Why they even bother to publish it is a joke. Stupid victoria!
  12. its bullcrap.. because once you exceed that speed, how fast do you really know you are going? Its actually dangeorus I would argue!
  13. I like being able to browse via images.. and see what is what at a glance on the list page, rather than wade into everything. It actually makes things a bit more efficient. It also greatly encourages people to upload photos for their goods, to get people to look at their ads. Those that don't just get a bland "no photos available". Its a great way to get people to upload.
  14. think it may have been in rb30 discussion..
  15. Its AN0 .. and it should definitely be on the build plate that came from the factory!
  16. They stole your *only* pair of keys? That is harsh!
  17. If you're 24, and it bothers you so much, I think it may just be time to make a venture into the wide, wide world! Anybody tells you what to do, just tell them to shove it!
  18. I reckon it should stay because I spent a few hours doing that new display template It can actually be adjusted so we get one large "main" picture and the smaller thumbnails. I am not sure why the main at the moment is actually set to the same as the thumbnails  You get the Q&A down the bottom of the details guys.. you can post comments and the like just like the old system. PM should be available though.. I only realised you couldn't PM directly from there, you have to Email them.. but that is probably a relatively simple change. I really can't see how the old system was that much better, other than the fact that everybody was used to it. Name one feature that was so useful that isn't available in the new one?
  19. There is a mountain of "garrett" vs "HKS" discussion in this very forum... its amazing pretty much all the turbos I know rate at the engine.. its only rough anyhow.. too many factors can vary it around. Least you know the HKS is going to come out of the box working
  20. thats no good - hope it comes back bigger and better ! Won't be cheap though
  21. I know it needs a cat.. amazingly they come with cats in japan as well.. I was asking whether it needed to be replaced as part of the compliance.
  22. Does the cat converter have to be replaced on a 15 year vehicle? I have been thinking that I could do it as I can: * change tyres to australian ones * change cat (if required) * affix rear child restraint points * change seat belts (where do you buy these? are they model specific?) * stick on "unleaded only" sticker (steal from other car ) The only thing I can think of that I can't do myself would be the intrusion bars.. What will a compliance shop say if you just wanted them to do the intrusion bars and check everything off for final engineers certificate? bugger off? or won't they care you're doing most of the work?
  23. I think with many of the turbos designed for 2L 4cyl they would make a noticeable amount less on the RB25.. If you could get it rebuilt to more suitable A/R ratios and the like could be an idea though, esp if you're getting it for dirt cheap. I have been looking at the GT-RS .. at $2500 for a "full kit" (+ taxes etc) its worth thinking about. I am not sure whether i want massive HP numbers to start with on a stock bottom end, and that looks like it fits the bill. So consensus is around 240rwkw or so with a nice broad powerband? A dyno graph for rb25 would be very nice to see
  24. i hate it how workshops don't take care like that.. even though working with their own driveway and low cars every day you'd think they'd be experts at it. *unknown* workshop cracked my front bar not once, but twice.. on their heavy driveway. It wasn't hard to get out at all, and i managed it fine, and yet they just careered down there and bang.. grunt
  25. yeah, its 15 year.. I thought about doing the work myself, replacing things like cat, seatbelts, brake light, etc.. then getting engineer to do intrusion bars. I have room here to work on it. Just got to weigh up cost of somebody else doing it for $1200 or so, or doing it myself, buying the parts, and go from there. I have a feeling the DIY may be up around $700 (any idea exactly how much it will cost me ??).. if I can just take it somewhere and in a week pick it up all done and ready to register, that is very tempting. Shipping could be around $100 just to get it to the goldcoast though from the docks. Guess that is not too bad if I end up doing much of the compliance myself. If I get it done up brissie though, I just pick the car up, take it to the nearest transport dept, and straight to the goldcoast. *dilema*
