  2. woohoo.. 1.5mbps here we are!! what to leech? what to leech? so much to leech.. time to leech!!
  3. ...get pissed passout...
  4. possibly an N/a that has an engine swap for turbo? remember that the r32 came out with RB25de late in their life. Have you put your VIN number into the FAST software and got a feedback of what it came with from the factory?
  5. I find the best spot to lift RB's is using a couple of heavy bolts bolted into the back of the block, through some fairly heavy duty chain at a couple of points.. using a d-shackle attach under the alternator arm at the front of the motor...seemed to work for me with no dramas, and seemed to "sit" fairly straight on lift. Then again I am fairly hap-hazard when it comes to these things so may not be the best way. But it has worked for me.

  7. would be too expensive, and high on the "why bother" stakes I would imagine. but hey, thats never stopped people I guess. Maybe in 5 years if low-volume imports are still allowed in the country they might be popular, who knows.
  8. well funky said it was being ammended, not abolished so it will probably still be there, it really depends on what the changes in regulations exactly are. If they get stricter on modifications, or require other criteria to be met, it could turn out it would be better off importing a newer car under SEVS anyhow. With a new Liberal senate majority, I think this current government will feel a bit more obliged to make more sweeping changes without opposition. Australia's fault for voting so one sided at the election...grumble. Actually i am offtopic :spamcan:
  9. you guys found a new place yet? or on the streets in 2 weeks? my garage has a new toy
  10. roy: try uniquecar insurance in melb if you do wish to transfer your rego over (rego would be cheaper in VIC too wouldn't it?).. www.uniquecar.com.au very generous for 25+ .. will accept all modifications.. they will accept agreed value as well never had to claim with them though, but they have been around for a while.
  11. There are cheaper places to get complete motors than there if you are going that route. Best option is to try and source the front cut directly from japan.. or through somebody locally who has written off their car and who wants to get rid of it quickly. You can get a good motor around the $2k mark, but you have to shop around, know some people and/or be quite lucky - thats definitely not an "average" price though. West's car for example you could buy, pull the motor, and sell the rest and you'd be getting a very cheap rb25det..
  12. why you paying so much? You need to shop around for a better policy.. back in VIC i was paying about $1300 for my fully modified r33 full comp.. you could always move to QLD .. petrol is cheapest of all the eastern states. .. Thing is.. people keep buying more and more stupid large 4WD and "people movers" which gobble more and more petrol. I can still not understand that whatsoever. People = stupid
  13. sorry.. think the whole thing is just ** SOLD ** If buyer pulls out, will readvertise in a week or so ..
  14. not sure whether they are the same between s1 and s2 myself.. part number (or serial number?) stamped on the side is: D6Y91-02 4204 And then below that is: 23731 08U00 So I assume one of these is the part number
  15. yes, still have this.. come on.. don't need it and taking up space.. $30 + post
  16. ok.. throwing out an EOI on the separate parts.. if i can get enough interest, will sell as parts. Pity, as the above is nearly all you need for an rb30det conversion in an r32, or even get another motor built using this whilst keeping your current engine. rb25det cams (in and ex): $150 - get them regrinded if you like for whatever goal you are going for. 6x good coilpacks suit rb20/rb25det (tested): $220 Plastic cam cover: $50 Camgears (in and ex): $50 for both - these can be modded into adjustable gears Inlet manifold / plenum / runners including things such as AAC sensor, few plugs, water temp sensor, etc: $200 6x RB25det injectors (370cc): $200 Fuel Rail: $50 Stock rb25det fuel regulator: $30 Throttle body assembly inc. TPS, etc: $100 Rb20/rb25 ignitor pack: $100 CAS (crank angle sensor): $100 Front camgear cover: $50 Bare head including valves in gc, cam covers, no snapped studs, etc: $300
  17. both are reliable as rocks.. if nothing silly is done.. rb25 is torquey with get down low to go go go. rb25 has the advantage of more aftermarket parts being direct fit these days. very useful info blue, will come in useful.. i just picked up an rb25 complete today for silly price
  18. could be number of things.. clutch..gearbox.. front diff (GTR right?) .. more likely to be front diff..

i have one that will be available as its getting swapped out.. is under 100,000km.. but won't be till around december.. depends how long you can / want to wait. Don't want massive dollars for it.
  21. although.. if only the ps2 could look like this
  22. pity the game has been delayed "indefinitely" in the PAL regions.. So we won't see it next year.. online play is taken out too http://www.gamebiz.com.au/news.php?action=...display&id=4955 p.s. all of those shots above are obviously rendered on development hardware. So take those shots and pixelise them and you will have the ps2 version. I really wish they wouldn't do that (release development machine rendered shots)
  23. Unfortunately R32 jap-exhausts are becoming harder to find I've noticed, and the ones that are around may be pretty cactus by now.. So may have to go the custom route.
