  1. or spend $100 on geoff's lock bar.. you still selling these Geoff ?
  2. what? 1 hour later?? :bs!: show us a photo.. with u in it and todays paper ..
  3. yes same..same for rb20det, rb25det and rb26dett..
  4. .. :ghost: I've seen quite a few more around, down at the supermarket etc. Like any import they will be around if people can buy them at a cheap price. I can think of quite a few reasons why they *wouldn't* ever become mass market popular as some of the other models.
  5. metho people... then scrape.. comes off in seconds.. just make sure you don't get metho on the paint..
  6. yotis: babelfish sometimes has trouble with yahoo.. other times its ok.. its a weird one.. try again in a day or two and it should be fine.
  7. yeah.. but what happened to that EL buy you were organising.. and the SAU caps & beanies.. and the...
  8. yeah.. my old r33 had the gold badges before some lovely person parted me with one of them once upon a time. I still have one left lying around.. my own private momento of my old car
  9. Just the stock ECU is a little more intelligent.. it also has direct fire ignition coils rather than an ignitor pack. I don't think actually makes it any better though(??) just the coils are more expensive per piece. By the time you throw out the stock ECU and turbo it matters little. Otherwise as far as I know, a s2 WILL NOT make any more power... as the basic engine block, pistons, cams, rod are exactly the same. The later s2 turbos are meant to be different exhaust wheel but again that doesn't make much difference in terms of power or anything like that. Its an interesting one though. Maybe somebody out there can be more specific... Also likely that a series1 RB25DET is more likely to be older and worn compared to a newer rb25det. Newer engines generally make better power just because of the km and age. P.S. and SNAP with Duncan
  10. most tranny coolers don't do shit.. brand or otherwise.. a small radiator type core is just not going to cool down an auto box sufficiently to prevent the problems most people experience. Might save the life of the box a little bit above the factory kill point but otherwise.. just get a stronger auto..
  11. Thats a good price and a good clutch what I had on my old R33.. nice stock feel and no slip even after hard use. Good combo for a street car that gets used for a bit of drag and track I reckon.
  12. change the speedo sender over for the mechanical one... it doesn't really matter whether they are push or pull as they can be changed over when you do the conversion. R33 is pull. its all on here around the place.. use that search button.
  13. sydney is sydney.. everything is a rip off Shannons I remember didn't like my r33 because of the amount of modifications a couple of years ago. justcars charges for nearly every single mod you put on there. Try uniquecar.com.au - i was insured through them for my r33 and had no problems. I'll admit I had no claims, but everything about the policies, and service seemed quite nice to me. Can pay by the month for a start, about the only one that i know of(?) that allows that.
  14. yeah.. but the audi looks an awkward korean experiment.. the 350z actually has some smoothness about it.
  15. as long as you happy with the performance and tune then that is all that matters until something else comes along and makes your car seem "slow" again always the way!
  16. meh.. i bought a brand new hybrid copy cooler for $400.. looks really good quality for the price. I can't really see the difference of quality between it and my old HKS cooler worth about $800 to be honest. Time will tell i guess. Always be suspicious of ebay and "brand" items. If you want cheap stuff, and not too fussed, then go ebay.. otherwise stay clear. THE SHEER SIZE ...WILL ASTONISH YOU .. thats what i say to all the girls too..doesn't usually work
  17. Sen Sherry definitely seems to have quite a good understanding of the issues which is good to see... least somebody is on "our" side in this issue a little..
  18. not for that price buddy.. the prices on r32 have gone up 2-3k in the last 12-18 months
  19. all i can say is old people are stupid..this is probably all our politicians hear these days. The concept of "democracy" is lost to most younger people I reckon these days. anyhow.. I'm not sure about the space saver thingo to be honest. I've read a bit about it in the media actually, and the thing is a LOT of the major manufacturers are including them in their vechicles sold "new" today. So to be honest I think while some people are bothered by it, the influence of the major manufacturers and the practicality will mean that space savers will stay. I mean pretty much most countries in the world allow them - we'd be pretty much be a sore thumb if we outlawed them. In many new cars, the actual design would not even allow the addition of a full sized spare. So they'd have to prevent a few vehicles even being in the country or some cobbled up "full size spare taking up whole boot" which could be construed as more dangerous in some situations due to crash protection.
  20. kill kill.. I think euro design franky sucks.. especially like the new beamers, peugeots, fiats, vauxhalls, euro fords... pentae: looks like u have copped a hiding for throwing 350z in that bucket and rightly so What european car does the 350z look like?? :bs!: maybe your skyline is a badly setup piece of crap.. but you can't compare it to others out there. Every major comparison I have read says that the 350z is quite nice at handling, but doesn't set the world on fire. Despite the fact that most claim the performance is lacking with the aide of 3rd party turbo or supercharger solutions. If Nissan had built the 350z to be a turbo performance car rather than just look sporty, then things might be different.
  21. this guy doesnt pay for items you send him.. Would you trust buying a car from this person? sorry mate, i gave you plenty of opportunities to pay what you owe me but well i'm over that..
  22. Ring the transport department and explain the situation. You should have a signed copy of the transfer papers for a particular date. That should be able to establish that you disposed of the car on that date I would imagine so you are not liable for any fines? Technically the car is still yours if title hasn't been transferred I would have thought - so you can cancel the rego at any time.
  23. rb25det gearbox.. that *is* your budget alternative.. if it will work for me it will work for you
  24. no.. put that thought back in your brain and stomp on it..
  25. rowdyr32 - you should post some pics and a guide somewhere on here if you know how to do it... would be quite useful to a number of people
