  1. you should have cancelled the rego the minute he drove off with the keys. Then its their responsibility to return the plates, get done for driving unregistered, etc. Ring up the transport department where you bought the car and cancel the rego this second.
  2. nope.. how many people are interested in this to be honest? 5-10 people on here? VOTE #1 FOR NO MORE FORUMS!
  3. do u have the digital climate control module?
  4. I have the s14 one somewhere too..
  5. where can i get the r32 manual? which covers rb20det.. the other one includes everything except rb20det.. edonkey can't find sources to actually download in the above
  6. yeah, the 6 speeds are meant to be dodgier.. Some of the S15 guys actually go for the older s14 5speed boxes when the new ones die. also: I seem to remember reading that the 6speed wasn't fantastic as the ratios weren't that suited either. Some of the gear changes were especially too short (hmm rex there too..lol)
  7. I'll send you what I am getting.. you do have to allow another couple of $k for tyres, rego, and compliance though like Blitz is saying on any "landed" price. Depends really what you're after. But stock & autos are cheap. Most likely the 15 year rule will be ended "any time now" so I doubt it will be around next year. Although it has been like that for a while.
  8. number #2 was "best bang for buck" ? r33 is more roomy, more modern feel. its not really a great question.. its like saying "what is a better - a VL commodore or a VT commodore" ? You could really ask that on any car out there. Of course the newer car is going to be better in most respects on everything except cost.
  9. 8-10k.. max for a stocker. Keep your options open for auto as well, as a gearbox conversion should cost less than $1500. won't the price go down as the demand will be less?
  10. i'd say r33 for all except number #2
  11. Thats the ignitor for the coils.. Like robo is saying, you can just unscrew it, and just leave it sitting to the side. As long as its still hooked up you can run the car. You will have to take the intake pipe off to get the cover off generally. Some say running the cover off is better for spark as the coils can start to behave a bit funny if the temperature builds up in there.
  12. Just doesn't sound like the new highflow turbo has been built intelligently? Is it possible to highflow an rb20 turbo to good effect? I thought the compressor housing would be a little small?
  13. http://www.queenslandraceway.com.au/ -- all will be revealed
  14. yeah..maxed out this connection too.. "show picture" is a bit annoying so many.. cool though.. were cefiros sold locally over there?
  15. hmm..oh so quiet..
  16. just think of it this way - the thrill and danger of driving an Excel at 100km/hr with the chance of catastrophic failure will prepare you for the excitement of driving a turbo skyline at 200km/hr one day!
  17. Scott: its not actually in that photo .. Its actual sits just behind the plastic cover from what I remember at the back of the engine. Its a white wire which basically just loops out. Its fairly obvious when you see it.
  18. but will it still be doing that in 5 years and 200,000km ? lol - regular servicing could help true, i think female drivers could have something to do with the high death rate
  19. how long you want to wait? I have a pair of R33 seats in excellent condition.. however I have to wait till my car gets here (end sept) to decide which i am keeping in the car.. r32 or the r33 seats.
  20. true, it just seems a lot seems to be about coils lately as the root of all evils. a few people have wasted a bit of money to find out its hasn't been - then again some have found it is.. so *shrug* Guess you can only one thing at a time to eliminate things - I have an rb25 s1 igniter if you want to quickly test that sometime, although again thats only part of the whole system.
  21. its not always the coils.. everybody just blames the coils when they're not sure its a favourite tuners response: "I don't really know what is going on so I'll just tell you its coils"
  22. dont get a probe.. they were Ford's attempt at capturing the sports market away from the japanese for a while. Don't think it particularly went too well and was soon discontinued. laser.. erg.. just get an ex-fleet falcon or something.
  23. u might want to remove that numberplate krawler.. good pix though - great day for it..
  24. predator
