  1. good day, and good work by the organisers... can we have a thread "how to become a member and member benefits" thread or something for lazy bums like me who didn't sign up today but wish to ...
  2. THIS THREAD IS NEARLY 2 YEARS OLD!! CHECK THE DATE! DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS GUY STILL HAS ANY OF THIS STUFF?! can this thread be locked and killed permanently please please please somebody moderator somebody.. its painful! rigo: its wasting space for those with genuine items that *are* still forsale.
  3. stock water guage is meant to be shithouse anyhow... well on the gts-t.. reads "all fine" then shoots up to red hot in a matter of a minute, by which time your engine could be cooked.
  4. got one already $500 even FYI .
  5. if you get a resistor with an LED you should be able to trick it up to the same voltage as a globe and wiggle it into the socket - bright LEDs will have that nice rice effect. if you just want the basic EL kit.. www.modyourcar.com.au and a few places like that have them.. hideously overpriced ($250 or so) for what they are - but hey that is rice for you. I have a spare cluster I have been playing with, but I still for the life of me can't work out how to get the needles off! I remember on my r31 cluster its very similar, and you just kind of pop them off.. but on the r32 cluster there seems a lot of resistance and I feel that if i pop the needle off its going to rip the spring or whatever is behind it out too ?? Is there a special trick to it? or do you just have to use a bit of careful force.
  6. interested.. so these are like solid panels? and 3mm thick ? so plenty of strength for mounting guages in there? but yeah, waiting for pix
  7. just buy a stock 1989 before it ends for about $8k onroad.. then spend another $5k on respray, and $5k on engine (replace if necessary) and mods and it will be better than anything here for $18k or buy one with a few mods and have a bit of extra cash to replace the engine if necessary (rb20det are cheap engines). Most things from a later r32 can be swapped over if necessary for only a few $k at most (door trims, seats, etc) if you ask me, all the local r32 are very much overpriced and at the moment seem to be going for $15k for ones with a few mods, considering some fairly stock R33 can be had for only $1-2k more or something like that. You really have to want an r32 over an r33 to pay the extra, and the rb25det is more driveable stock. If you want a 4 door , or would go for a 4 door, this is something different at an excellent price IMHO: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=43192. Impuls R32 are rare, and this is good condition.
  8. Older PC system for sale: - AMD Duron 1.1ghz (overclocked from 1ghz, rock stable for nearly 2 years) - Gigabyte GA-7IEX4 motherboard (2x USB ports) - 468mb memory (SDRAM) - Quantum Fireball 20gig hard drive - Hercules 9000Pro 128mb AGP card (DX8.1 card) - Netgear 10/100mbps network card - Samsung 52x CD-ROM (current model) - Soundblaster Live card - Floppy - ATX case sprayed in custom black (pretty good job ) but wait..there's more! - Logitech USB wheel mouse - Good quality Gateway keyboard (collectors item ) Running XP fine, and fine for most things :-) This was my computer up until a month ago before I upgraded but have no real need for two systems. Fine for basic stuff, office applications, internet, listening to music, watching DivX, DVD, etc or all you need to make a decent fileserver with a larger HDD or something like that. Can even plays most games quite well at 1024x768, such as UT2004 with most details turned to "high", and even games like Farcry at 800x600 with a few details turned off. So while its not lightning quick, the graphics card keeps most games running fairly well. Asking: $300 without monitor shown..
  9. in fact.. if you are running straight from post fmic to wastegate it should just boost to around 8psi (done this in the past)...so something else *must* be going on. So either you have some sort of boost leak in your FMIC setup or piping, meaning post-fmic its not building up enough pressure to open the gate at the right point...or the wastegate itself.. seems logical(?) but could be wrong..
  10. sounds like your wastegate spring or actuator is screwy.. have you been playing with it ?
  11. shipping mate, shipping $460 a pair? but if you want decent reclineables they are around $700 a pair..
  12. still have the turbo?
  13. is the turbo sold? come with std. wastegate actuator?
  14. lol.. yeah.. i might be in..
  15. don't think it really matters.. as your car is only covered for a maximum of about $5k on 3rd party anyhow.. but if you don't tell them your modifications and they are looking for a way out of a large payout, it may be to your advantage to be truthful from the start.
  16. After a stock RB25DET in good condition, no major shaft play or anything like that. Preferably one that you took off for a larger turbo, not because it was shagged. Can wait a few weeks if its still on your car and you're upgrading or something. Require one with full actuator and things, ready to bolt on. Let me know what you got - don't really want to spend more than $500. thanx..
  17. $20 for the K&N filter? how worn is it?
  18. Most of the pre-packaged piping setups you see from the major manufacturers (Trust, HKS, etc) wrap around the front of the engine and things anyway to the standard TB position. So basically up round, and across again. The setup wados has just wraps around the back of the cooler, and not the actual engine bay itself, so in fact may be better for heat disipation in the piping. Front facing has the advantage yeah, but when you cost in the new plenum, it gets pretty expensive. For mild setups I reckon this would work fine
  19. the reason they notice them "everywhere" is because they notice them over other cars on the road.. thereby making their own shitboxes boring and blending into the background and a skyline something different.. therefore their hypothesis is inherently flawed..
  20. so assuming tight ass seats @ $700 + $500 for your rails = $1300 .. so cheap ..
  21. nick: get a megadrive.. best performance and cheapest price! and think altered beast, wonderboy, shinobi.. the list goes on..
  22. give u slap in the face.. its a good phone.. think i have a buyer so be quick..
  23. er, why? pity you have to lose some stuff stupidest laws ever. Should be fun swapping everything over - instant upgrades in one weekend
  24. a pipe is a pipe.. stainless steel just looks prettier and last longer. Mild steel its advisable to paint, otherwise it will get surface rust very quickly. Have had experience with this before
  25. thank **** work is over.. agg.. fridays and 4 hours sleep do not mix.
