Some of the early ones have had problems, but I personally haven't heard of anybody that has had any problems.. including me.. There is no advantage to HDMI for the 360, seeing as it has component and VGA connections already for highdef and you probably wouldn't notice any quality difference at the end of the day. Why do you want HDMI particularly? or have you just heard it's some wizz bang thing? HDMI is really just sony's way of protecting content and a two way communication between the TV and console for rights management. Sceptics say that is why it's on the PS3 - so they can lock people down later on from bluray movies, games, etc.

Stolen R32 In Nerang Qld
predator replied to skyline_chick88's topic in General Automotive Discussion
nah, there has been a couple of blokes getting around stealing a whole heap of them in the last month and a bit.. 'the skyline bandit'. I've lost count, but seems to be near 10 they've stolen. I don't think any(?) have had alarms at all, or immobolisers. Will be good if they've actually caught the guy. I've seen your car around skyline_chick (before it was stolen) -

I can't believe the cops haven't caught them yet, considering how brazen they are getting.. Good old useless goldcoast cops.. -
Rb25 Into R31 Wiring Issues +what Is Plug!?
predator replied to SKiT_R31's topic in General Maintenance
Those first 2 round plugs aren't really plugs.. From what I gather from when I did my conversion they're simply test points for a multimeter or other factory testing. The second two are either the wiper plugs, or those ones to the body. Maybe they're not needed on an R31 conversion. -
Rb25 Into R31 Wiring Issues +what Is Plug!?
predator replied to SKiT_R31's topic in General Maintenance
bottom plug circled above is knock sensors.. pull off the FPR, and check there is fuel in the rail. also pull off a plug and see if it's wet with fuel http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=75720 ?? err, you're saying these aren't connected to anything? they need to be wired up to 12v and a few other things in the engine bay. The relays are very important too, and need to be wired up correctly to fire up the ECU on IGN, and start the engine. They allow the ECU to turn itself off when the IGN is turned off. I suggest you check the wiring diagrams a bit more closely -- I think you're a bit off the mark from what I can gather from what I'm reading. -
dose'nt make any sense

air compressor itself I've weighed at 9kg.. the aircon cooler/radiator thing.. lines and things would add around another 9kg.. so there is 18kg. The condenser in the dash is around 3kg from what I measured, but removing that would take out most of your climate control working at all as it's part of the ducting. The spare is 14kg so remove that..

I've got a new CD out..

I think they look quite camry, especially in stock trim and would cost you good $ to take a standard one and make it look tough.. but can't argue with them being a good car. like nismogirl said.. there are going to be a shitload on the roads starting probably right about now, so the 'non-attention' factor may wear off fairly quickly. I reckon you should still keep the 32 if at all possible.. for weekend and track duties and get the aristo for the daily cruiser. I'm going to be doing similar this year. I don't think I could totally give up the point n' shoot, noise, and rawness of the skyline in manual form. I did it before, and it sucked.

I played with my mates for a few hours and got sore arms from the boxing the next day? can i launch legal action?
-
yeah, it's not bad, but it can be a bit and miss at the moment.. and so can the clarity unless you have the latest dual core PC. Seems to skip on occasion, and have to sit there watching nothing while it buffers every 5 minutes or so. I still keep my old xbox1 with xbmc which never fails at anything, and will play anything, and it doesn't chew up the PC's processing either for doing other stuff. I think it's got a while to go before I use tversity regularly over my old xbox setup. You still can't transfer the files to the 360 hard drive (not that 20gb would be any use), so your pc always has to be on if u want to watch movies. Sometimes that's a hassle.

In both my skylines that have been over 10 years old, the tank has been crystal clear whenever I've gone to change the fuel pump. I think it's a bit of a myth in most cases, but that said, there ere are probably a few out there that have had dodgy fuel put into them in some Japanese country area or something, and hence crap gets in there. So the only real way is open up your tank, shove a torch in and have a look for yourself.

ea/eb falcon with turbo bolted on.. in fact there was/is? one for sale very recently for about $5k.. looked as grandpa as you could get. In fact, if anything it was too clean. VL's are hardly 'sleeper'.. If anything the one car cops would pick on..

Have a sook.. Come on, the state is one of the largest, plenty of room. I think it will be a good thing with more people - wider experiences, differences in restaurants, cultures, new ideas, growth, jobs. That's good for lots of reasons. See, one day.. the shopping centre becomes too crowded.. they see the demand, and they build another one.. or they build a bigger car-park to cope with the extra demand. It's how things, like, change... in a growing city. That's what I like about QLD.. everything is always growing, changing..

Any verdict yet? I think you'll get under 1300kg.. If it's a later model and u don't want to remove the extra sound deadening, etc you might struggle to get it too much lower without going those extra steps. I am pretty sure I remember reading a guy that stripped his 32 out, without the insane panel mods and got it down to low 1200's.. Eventually I'd like to get to close to that level myself. I've just got silly heavy rims at the moment Low 1200 kg would be pretty damn good for a car that can support engines that can push out 300-400rwhp internally stock. The r32 gts-t (I reckon anyhow) is the best rwd platform there is for the price, without having serious deficiencies in too many areas.. so I think it's a worthy goal to work on the weight aspect. The S13 can get close to 1000kg stripped, but then again the brakes and getting an rb engine in there is a fiddle. I guess if you had more money to spend to get it right, that's what you'd go for - but they're a different type of car really. I think it's time some serious r32 & r33 gts were put out there to give a good fight to the 4wd boys on the track that havent spent a gazillion. Beer baron's just jealous as there is less vital things you can rip out of a GTR

They are the same unit, so no advantage. If you have any issues with idle or other running issues, you could always keep the oher one as spare to try.

Don't move up just to escape the cops, but all in all I think QLD is a more progressive place and there is many other good reasons to live here. The people that get defected here mainly are out racing on the highway or cruising the known "cruise" spots or hanging out at a few of the known maccas. Stay clear of them and you won't have trouble. Because of the amount of idiot drivers in general, doing minor stupid stuff seems to be ignored.

Why I imported an auto and then converted it.. I converted my r32 to manual.. and it isn't very hard once you have th parts.. in fact it's all very much plug and play as long as you know how your car is screwed together. You also have the opportunity to install new and/or performance bits rather than standard (new m/s cylinders, braided clutch line, lightened flywheel) so if you do it properly it should behave as well as any factory manual, and then some. Unfortunately the hardest part is just getting a decent box.

So I Dropped A Rod In Cylinder 6
predator replied to 09ONE_32's topic in General Automotive Discussion
rb20 will drop back in easy enough, but you'll have to stuff around with the wiring changing it back to rb20 which is the ass of the thing.. stock 25 or wait. -
and what does the R34gtr use?
-
my prediction is it won't because somebody said it will.. usually the way it goes

I'm keen.. along with the other regular days..

I think any other car doing the normal speed limit may have trouble if somebody was driving along very slowly on the road which has multiple blind corners. That is not safe either! So I don't know why you're going nuts at skyline drivers in particular. I think you're equally at fault, and maybe should be going somewhere a little safer in your dog training. You could be causing an accident with law abiding drivers just as likely as these people you're so pissed at. What happens if a large truck was barreling down the hill at 50km/hr, and they also suddenly saw this car traveling along quite slowly after rounding a blind-corner. You'd be equally as screwed, and who's fault would that be? the truck drivers? Yes, I ride my bike often on public roads, as a similar example, and yes, it's very risky.. But I don't think I'm in any more danger from anybody doing going a little fast compared to some old grandma floating all over the road either. Neither do I go nuts when I'm nearly killed from some stupid driver doing something silly, and start ranting to the cops about it (and yes once I ended up in hospital and had to have surgery too). I know it's risky, and I take on that risk blaming nobody else but myself. I think your abuse is very misplaced.
