  1. interesting thread.. but i think i have met most of you! and quite a few that have been and gone from the melb thing. Notice a few new blokes on here which has been good. all have been great blokes.. might be driving down xmas time.. never know, if anything is happening would be good to catch up with a few people again.
  2. true.. sounds painful! anyhow, good luck with it all.. with the pedals - much of time they bolt over the old ones, even if they look like they are one piece? may just want to have a close look. I always thought mine were full pedals, but when i checked more closely they were clip ons. About all i have is an R33 airbox.. probably not much use for r32
  3. i want it to look scary to match the performance. R34 GTR did that pretty well I think.. R33 and R32 looked visually at least a little tamer. The concept post looks really just like a V35 squished a little. The V35 shape still doesn't really appeal. Too much 350z in the lines.
  4. cracked rims are a bad idea anyhow.. while it might annoy you that you have to get them fixed/changed - if you were going 200km/hr and one decided to fall into little pieces it might be a bit important then. Not everything is dumb they do defect people for.
  5. >> me starts mentally stacking tinnies ontop of each other in brain..
  6. should be arriving friday if the guy send them like he said he was today.. i'm going down the coast saturday around 1pm.. can drop them off on the way down if you want to play with them. I've decided its 1 stubby per per coil pack.. now seeing as i think there are about 5 that want to test I'll be rolling in beers... yipee!
  7. yeah.. i'm looking for another car to import myself.. nice to get something fully modified as like u say the parts are worth fair amount.. but ****ed suspension, ****ed turbos, ****ed...etc (you get the picture) isn't really going to be worth much anyhow. don't think i'm getting a ceffy though i'm in two minds, it would be fun to take an rb20det and thrash the absolute balls off it till it cracks.. then again that could be $1500 to sell to somebody else if it was still in one piece .. for the Big Beast Engine
  8. its lacking apexi cupholders.. with them you'd do 12's easy
  9. dos was shit.. if it was so good we'd still be using it..
  10. After a cheap IDE hdd.. so i can turn some parts into a 2nd system. Seeing as you can get brand new Western Digital 40gig drives for around $77 these days.. say $35 for say a 20 gig or something would be reasonable.. Probably nothing smaller than say 10gig. Let me know what you got! Prefer pickup ..
  11. 250kw+ fly? if you are going for an rb30det with forged pistons and things 300rwkw (maybe 400kw fly) should be easy. Thats going to tear most things apart If you wanted 250rwkw just put get the bottom end converted to VL turbo pistons. i think the torque would grind it pretty quickly. Apparently RB30e box and RB20DET box are very similar strength.. Some have killed their rb20det boxes at 180rwkw, others have got 250rwkw. So like people have said, its how you drive it and a bit of luck thrown in. A diff specialist also told me similar about the borg warner diffs.. might make heaps of noise and not real too fancy.. but good for quite a big amount hp.
  12. ...got it in one
  13. i could have got up that one in the photo in the 33 i think.. just takes care..
  14. should cyrus' & bens current place.. worst one ever! its like a cliff you have to get up.. but he manages to do it in his car..
  15. its like a virus.. a virus that takes over your computer and cannot be removed without destroying the host itself.. so incidious.
  16. yup.. could work out very nicelly..very nicely.. its just the wait.. the wait!
  17. i thought you were working?
  18. i missed the $700 a week too!! rofl..
  19. yeah.. out in nerang is nice.. that is where i am working (in a house there) bit far south for you though.. about 35 mins back to yatala. whats with the horse obsession though?!
  20. could roll down the hill to work.. don't want to go too bush though.. i like a bit of civilisation, just not uber.
  21. mmm, quite nice.. yeah, nah i wouldn't just invite them in without meeting anybody or anything like that. I have qualms about living with mates anyhow, can get tricky if things go bad.
  22. lol.. don't need many tools to change the coil packs.. but still... don't think i can this weekend but next weekend is free.. http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsear...79&id=401064382 still looking.. hmm, where is oxenford?! i may possibly have 2 mates moving up from melb about that same time too.. more possibles.. they have good jobs, etc. But i think they want to live in brisbane (why??! i keep asking them)
  23. *should* be here by the weekend.. if u want to test.. i think there about 3 QLD guys who need to test their coil packs.. so could be useful until i actually do need them..
  24. at the time were you backin' up the hoez.. checkin yo' 6 when the fuzz busted your ass ?? back in the day, when i used to live out that way.. it was very much a turbo safe haven.. was only when you went to the city you took the risk there. Looks like they're getting a little smarter out east.
  25. haha.. only if you're female.. but with a name like "Paul" I doubt it rb25det coilpacks on there way.. available for testing for approrpriate beer levy to test suspect coil packs on your vehicle
