a "3rd party fire and theft" policy will cover about $5k max for your car from any major policy I can think of.. make sure you check into this too.

sorry to hear.. but one of the realities unless you're over 25.. to be honest, make sure you at least go 3rd party.. if you do crash into somebody, the person who is going to be winning and making you pay it off for however long it takes (could be a while on say a BMW) will be the person with a) the insurance or B) the money.

u can get out of leases.. but you generally gave to make up a good excuse .. in the past generally most of the ones i have known to be fairly friendly if you give adequate notice.. so they can find another tenant.. to them it just equals more work which they don't like (well who doesn't).. If you just leave, then you're liable for all rent at the place until they do find a tenant or until the end of the lease.. whatever comes first i think.
