  1. www.dwarfsex.com i know you all want to click that link...
  2. yeah.. old rb20det's are problems.. sounds like it was rebuilt pretty badly - that was probably the problem in the first place.
  3. yeah, i would agree that the difference between my old bleed-type setup to an EBC wasn't very noticeable in everyday driving at all. If you don't have much money to throw around, there'd be other things i'd probably be doing first.
  4. I'm a bit of the KISS philosophy .. Keep It Simple & Stupid Lots of them all have these ricey displays and fancy "AI logic" which people tend to get sucked in by, but really they're probably a no better boost controller than some of the cheaper ones with a simpler display, but do what they are supposed to it. A lot of the more expensive EBC's have all these fancy functions and learning modes, and like SK said, who knows what they're really doing. An EBC setup incorrectly can spike similarly, go infinite boost, or cause other problems. Bleeder for cheap, EBC for later. None will kill your car if correctly setup. ProfecB isn't even a bad choice with the KISS stuff at a good price - I've seen some big HP cars with them in Japan. Then again some reckon they can cause problems at higher levels, but you hear stories about every little performance part. Can pick them up for $300-600 from new to 2nd hand. Works fine in my car.. couple of knobs, high/lo selector, and sharpness (to adjust on different setups so boost doesn't drop at higher revs). Thats it. Does the trick. Newer one is a bit ricier with the LCD.
  5. .. you owe me a 10 second car
  6. umm... isn't that just a dump pipe? where is the housing?
  7. I saw this car in melb quite a few times when i lived there, and yep, one of the nicest R32 I have seen. Mark has taken really good care of his pride and joy
  8. OZ: lol i think your made your point about pushies.. yeah, sux -- i ended up in hospital for 2 weeks coz of dumb **** car drivers not looking out for cyclists... could have easily been killed.
  9. what he said.. $1200 or so for a forged piston kit, and general clean up on your bottom end. Might be able to get it done for under $3500 - shouldn't have to touch the head. Don't get sucked in by expensive rods, expensive head gaskets, aftermarket cams and all other crap. RB25DET will do 300rwkw with a good condition engine, just give it forgies and make it safer.
  10. ba to new cars and "bolt on factory" turbo kits.. for rich businessmen who will never use the performance anyhow..
  11. isn't that a man?
  12. chris is around.. 5532 1488 call *now* but i'll pick up the phone
  13. Don't let em drive it. They should be happy to sit in the passenger seat first time. Or if they do sound keen, let them drive but ALWAYS sit in the passenger seat. But you never know, they could be some turbo n00b who is just going to plant it and go sideways into the nearest wall. My mate nearly did that in a GTR much to my dismay.. owner wasn't happy! but it was funny.. Just explain to them the situation. If they are a genuine buyer they will understand. If they want a joy ride they can go elsewhere.
  14. I wouldn't be complaining too much. Most of those fines are about 50% less cost involved than Victoria. And if you get $150 fine or above you can pay it off over 3 months! how easy is that. Again -no way in Victoria. You get a $300 fine you gotta pay $300 straight up. And who said that eating and drinking while driving was a demeritable fine? I don't see any mention in there??
  15. hey james.. got big turbo yet ?
  16. Graphics on side of car from dealer = stay away. Graphics stuck on my car = buy it!! Graphics stuck on side to suck in you impressionable buyer to hide fact turbo is shot, or probably bad scratches/chips underneath. Graphics cost $90, new turbo or paintjob costs big bucks. I've seen some really bad stuff from dealers, even recently when I went looking for a skyline with my mate.
