  1. hmm ... yeah, all sorts of options i guess.. Reading through their site now..
  2. those guys sound like a good group to keep in mind. i was always wondering whether i could get my Zeals reco'ed as they are $4k suspension (apparently) but nobody knew of anywhere in melbourne that would touch them. Basically a few people said "just throw them out and buy something local"
  3. ahhh.. cool i didn't know you could do that. yep.. if i ever work on the handling of the 31 i'm going to try swap things myself to save labour costs. Generally just need a spring compressor don't you but otherwise its just bolts in and out?
  4. jl: so you can actually remove the center to get it reconditioned with your springs? I thought that was the reason why adjustable coilovers couldn't be reconditioned (one unit), whereas with a totally seperate coil and spring you can mix and match the spring and the actual shock absorber??
  5. ?? but i just clicked it then??
  6. guess what is missing in this photo:
  7. i think the difference is.. with coilovers, the shock is actually welded to the bottom of the spring, and they are basically one unit and cannot be separated. Most things can be adjustable. With a spring and shock setup the springs and shocks can be separated and changed independently. In that setup you can adjust the shock, but not the actually spring height or anything like that.
  8. ooo yeah.. no tyres are fun.. chaos: could'a been the stock suspension too.. meant to have heaps of bodyroll, which means the tyres don't stick properly too the ground, even if they do have tread.
  9. yup.. not cheap.. krawler: no.. they're just spring and shock setup.. i sold my old set for $200, they were sitting around for ages
  10. u do know how much A539's cost don't you?
  11. don't need coilovers.. good springs and shocks can work just as well.. try and stay clear of 2nd hand stuff too.. as can be pre-hacked
  12. can sometimes even be just be the gaskets or rubber mountings.. gaskets are like $2.50 to replace
  13. sounded good.. but definitely cop bait.. I wouldn't bother spending too much on the n/a Eug- maybe just cheap exhaust system. you'll want a turbo (or v8) soon enough
  14. i vote for damn loud too! lol
  15. evo.. gonna be interesting to see a few on the road.. i beat an evo IV once in melb.. but glenn is right, tendency to oversteer, and then understeer off the corner and into a tree.. same as rex.. gives people false confidence - as many drivers have found out at the last minute
  16. i was hoping to spend about $500 on a RB25 turbo.. so anything under that would be nice if you did want to sell it for around that. anyhow, i don't have the money now.. but in a few weeks i might. Something to think about
  17. how much would u sell it for? it wouldn't be running high boost as low-comp motor.. maybe only 8psi or so
  18. who here wants burnout rims? ...that has money (not me unfortunately) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=42211
  19. hi glenn.. bye glenn..
  20. anyhow.. wouldn't be for a couple of months. Was asking just in case you were going to turf it or something.
  21. yeah, i was what part is busted? or is the shaft play just really bad? thinking of probably running an R33 turbo on this RB30ET thing i will be doing.. but probably prefer a working turbo. Depends, could use some bits off it to get somebody to build a VG30 hybrid or something. Might end up being too exxy.. Don't want to spend too much as the motor could not last long (no idea really)

  23. don't they do that stock? i think you need these... Been trying to sell these for a while on this forum have gone from $1800-$1500. now i am lookign to have them gone for $1000 FIRM, cost me $2500 a year ago, and all they have done was sit in a box in the cuboard. They are off a 1996 GTR V-spec that had around 45000km's. they are in excellent condition and come with dump pipes, O2 sensors, and manifolds. Ideal to twin turbo a VL, all that is needed is an adaptor plate as all of the exhaust ports match up. I am short of money at the moment and the first person in with the money will get them. I don't want to be ****ed around, let me know and i'll get you my bank details asap, and send them off... direct deposit only, $20 freight to anywhere and i'll pay thre rest. will be sent with registered/insured post. Regards Nathan p.s. will get pics up asap.
  24. james: hey what happened to your old turbo? Did the exhaust wheel fly off? Do u still have it?
