  2. Tell me about, couldn't agree more.. but in the bullshit legal system we live with - if you say something bad, and the workshop thinks it is unfair and untruthful, they can sue you personally for slander and damage to their business. Even if it is otherwise the truth probably in your case, how do you separate the fact from the fiction.? This is why these rules are in place, to protect your own ass being put on the line (or maybe even the forum owners). What happened if I put up "don't go to such and such" when I was just trying to bring down the name of another business simply because I was trying to sell my product. Where do you draw the line? and how do you separate genuine gripes, that to you might be bad, but to others might be "oh hum who cares he's whinging about nothing". that is what I am getting at. An angry voice is stronger than 50 happy ones unfortunately, especially when it comes to the Internet where everybody can read it all, and often people will jump to conclusions. Just the same if you posted in a newspaper "such and such is rubbish". If it wasn't backed with adequate facts and evidence you could be sued. Hence why you're not going to find that in the newspaper these days either.
  3. It is a legal issue more than anything else. Would you put your ass on the line, or take the risk of being sued personally (you, probably not Prank) if somebody slandered a workshop?? I don't think so. And often, how can you sort a legitimate complaint from just a whinge "my parts didn't come in on time, even though they said they would". Nor can a workshop give 100% correct information all the time. Anyhow.
  4. yeah, i'm with roh-15h.. it will be your word against his.. In the end it will probably end up being 50/50. I had a similar situation a couple of years back. Both were turning in side to side lanes, and truck cut across slightly into my lane and basically cut me off. They basically just said "you came out of your lane and turned into me" (like why would i do that with a dirty great big truck next to me!). I said "no you turned across me and cut into my lane". So my word against theirs. In the end, no witnesses really, and I really cbf taking it further at the time. There was no damage to the truck anyhow, so I just fixed the damage on my car ($300 lol)
  5. they are brilliant mats.. look awesome, and i've had them in my r33 for several months and held up with general wear and tear. I'm getting another set for my R31 just because they are so cool
  6. Weigh bridge. But yeah, i am curious too.. If you go let me know and i'll come also Where else can you find them? Although this is probably a QLD specific thread.
  7. zahos also changed lanes though. How close was the parked car to the intersection? If it was within a certain distance it may have been illegally parked. Do you have the registration of that car also? Sounds like the other drive could have been drinking due to the booze bus thing, but of course with nothing to coroborate that with a cop report or anything like that - probably matters little now.
  8. still waiting on payment.. and they're sitting here ready to be sent off.. whoever can get me $240 first (inc. shipping) i will courier them off door to door.
  9. yeah, its :bs: but dems the rules unfortunately..
  10. be careful.. as some panel shops now fix the car at no charge, and then use a legal firm to get the cash out of another party (e.g. you) how'd *you* end up the left lane when you started in the other lane and behind him?? no accusations, just wondering.
  11. I was a little sceptical myself, but ended up getting a cusco for cheap. MASSIVE DIFFERENCE. Especially if you do any mountain work. Front is a lot more predictable and you can have a lot more faith in going hard (e.g. high speed around corners), steering is firmer, etc. Depends what bar i guess, I have a feeling the "cheaper" thinner bars do very little. Easy to install (5 mins)
  12. yeah, definitely.. Whilst occassionally people can hold you up on a cruise, I'd rather than happen and everybody drive to their limits rather than people who don't know their limits drive too fast and the worse happens.
  13. yeah, i heard about it.. happens all the time in those sorts of environments, whether its a performance car or otherwise. But tragic nevertheless.
  14. w00t... well my R31 has diff.. now i can thrash the pants out of it.. yeehaw also i hope u all have your rice goggles on tonight, as you're going to need them to block out the overpowering rice on the r33
  15. my mobile *is* a vibrator.. its the new Nokia Self Pleasure 6610
  16. hmm, does seem a little high actually.. got this dyno chart last weekend: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=15814 was the dyno out?? Although here is an RB25DE chart on a similar dyno w/ similar figures? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=11421
  17. work.. same shit
  18. oh please
  19. yeah.. we did that back in our younger days.. pointed the nozzles around and squirted chicks as they went past.. was classic fun. we were doing drivebuys.. the funniest thing was they had hardly any clue where it was coming from!
  20. why all these melbourne people? they are pretty much sold to sentric dancer.. soon as i get payment from above melb person they are definitely sold.
  21. just get stickers..
  22. Thats about the average price.. VL injectors ($100), turbo (~$500), cross over pipe ($100), VLT manifold (~$300), VLT ecu (~$130) + fiddling around. Although comparitively you're probably looking at about $2k all up to drop an RB20DET in, if you do most of the labour yourself or get a mate to help. I am not sure which is the better option to be honest. RB20DET is a "proper" turbo compression motor and quite capable of running 240rwkw (or above) without problems. But meant to be laggier and less torque like you say I'm interested as to when do you feel the kick in the pants and how much? already the RB30E has a fair bit of torque.. around 500nM or so. This getting a little offtopic though!
  23. yeah, i thought your car did pretty well on the dyno consider yours is auto. Auto are meant to lose a lot more to the wheels.. even 5-10% some have said??
  24. the electrical tape would just stop grounding caused by micro cracks in the coils..
  25. not sure its fuel pump.. probably just tuning.. get it whacked on a dyno and whack out a new tune
