  1. all dynos are different.. a car that read 200rwkw on one dyno can only read 160rwkw or so on another. I'd like to see any car with a stock turbo pull 200rwkw on a dynologics dyno. And while I'm not saying all dyno tuners are dodgy, but often if you take a car to a dyno tuner it will "magically" gain that 20rwkw soon as it walks the door. They do have to prove they have earned their money somehow afterall. Don't take the dyno for gospel, its all about how the car feels to drive afterall. Does it "feel" faster? if it does it probably is. It seems like he should have got a little more out of the powerFC than you had previously, but all cars respond differently to different mods, and I assume some cars respond better to a powerFC than others on the stock turbo. You are also getting that extra meat in the sandwich between 3000->5500rpm - thats some 10 -> 20rwkw across most of there. That should be noticeable?
  2. can i get in on that or do i have to be gay?
  3. that sounds sus
  4. lol.. no you won't go toasty.. Always best to disconnect the positive first and leave the ground to provide an earth. Soon as you disconnect the positive the power will be disconnected. When putting it back connect the ground first, then positive. It may make some sparks when you connect back the positive nerminal, but its generally ok.
  5. easier than you thought?
  6. omfg.. there is the scariest cross dresser sitting just 2m away from me :-s

yeah.. i heard what happened. Best of luck for the future! and you're young still, there is still plenty of times for things to change and for life to get awesome. Just stay on the path mate!
  9. err.. ok .. :nowigetit:
  10. oh.. sweet how is the car going?
  11. ahh... just curious as to whether it was noticeable, as i've never driven mine without an intercooler as it came with one. in fact i've never driven a totally stock skyline now i think about it.. hmm..
  12. .. always pays to have the toolkit in the car. I've had the same problem myself in the past. Except I forgot i had been playing with the piping the week before it happened :-s
  13. hey mindflux :wavey: did u lose your licence or something? you said u had to walk everywhere from now on??
  14. no.. they kinda pop off.. do you notice any/much lag with the intercooler on ?
  15. blah blah blah
  16. hmmm.. its already past 8pm and i said this guy should get here by 9pm.. ..he better show as i left my wallet at work and have no money till i get it tomorrow unless he does show up agg!
  17. it makes a great bug catcher on the highway (as you can tell). now fog lights in there would be pretty cool.. if you like fog lights of course.
  18. mine isn't too bad, but i did put a crack.. but you could put a crack in anything if you're not careful. Driveways can be a problem though, but i just don't go up them. I can get around macccas, shopping centres and things usually - just have to take care. ye erin i know.. it looks funny without sideskirts i reckon myself. Well the plan *was* to get new ones fitted whne i got it back.. but that didn't happen. So it has to go back in a few weeks.
  19. while that is kinda interesting and all, i clicked on the wrong photo.. here is the one i meant to send.. looks a fair bit better with the mesh (can hardly see the cooler, depends if u like stealth or not).. and the clear indicators i reckon.
  20. and after..
  21. huh? weird.. wrong pic.. that is my before picture
  22. yep, that one
  23. u can probably kind of see in that photo there
  24. i saw.. i was asking, seeing as in a coupla weeks i'm getting 400r ones fitted. They look like decent quality ones. The guy who painted my car said he could get some for $220 and really good quality, but not sure where he was talking about? The 400R bar fits a fair sized intercooler. Mine is 600x300x60 and there is a fair bit of space, but it was pretty tight fit with the side piping.
