i riced a bit of the interior of the r31 the other day.. came up pretty nice and makes the car feel modern just driving it (funny how a few casn of paint can make that difference).. will upload the photos tomorrow. Main thing that is shitting me at the moment is the shitty seats and diff.. diff being replaced next week.. seats not sure about. .get GXE seats ($100 max) or use the spare R33 front seats i got (but involves making rails at maybe $200, not legal, etc)...hmmm

probably due to the bigger capacity engine and lower boost there is less requirement for a bigger cooler than on a smaller capacity engine. I assume the turbo is bigger and therefore running the lower boost it doesn't build as much temperature back into the engine. Also the compression ratio is probably fairly detonation friendly for aussie conditions. Ford engines are generally pretty strong -- even the old ones. Most of the 80's falcons you can strap a turbo kit onto without massive dramas, whereas most of the commodores need more internal work. ...and probably most importantly to them: smaller = cheaper

alpine splits are good for mid-range.. but around $500.. forget the current model number. i really cbf ringing.. it was meant to be ready "end of last week" before that "end of last week".. yawn.. apparently waiting for the painter to come and paint it..
