  5. nude.. .. and in other news: coool.. Millionaires caught in 250km/h road race From correspondents in Tarragona, Spain May 11, 2004 FIVE multi-millionnaires were arrested at the weekend for driving at speeds of more than 200km/h in an unauthorised, high jinks road race in the Catalonia region of Spain, local police said today. The annual, yet illegal car race known as the Gum Ball 3000, is famous for attracting participants with an appetite for big-engined cars and life in the fast lane. Among this year's participants are British actor Adrien Brody, model Jodie Kidd, the singer Jamiroquai and a nephew of Saudi Arabia's king. The five drivers - all men - detained by Spanish police yesterday are from Britain, Canada and Belgium and are all between the ages of 30 and 50. One of the drivers covered the 210 km distance between the towns of Sagunto and Cambrils in 50 minutes, at an average speed of 252 km/h on a public highway. The French police had warned Catalonian officials of the arrival of more than 160 large-engined sports cars taking part in the race, which began on May 5 in Paris. Police in France's Bordeaux region had fined several of the participants on Saturday for driving at high speed. Among the pack of automobiles taking part in the race are such makes as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Mercedes, Ford Mustang, Porsche, Chevrolet Camaro, Maseratti and BMW. According to the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia, the drivers of the 2004 event travelled from Paris to Madrid to pay a visit on Real Madrid footballer David Beckham, descended to the Costa del Sol, then skipped over to Casablanca and Marrakech, where they were the guests of Moroccan King Mohammed VI. The group planned to make an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival upon the conclusion of the race on May 12. But that last pit stop may have been foiled when 20 of the cars signed up for the race were impounded yesterday in Catalonia. During last year's Gum Ball 3000, held in the United States, participants incurred more than 21,000 euros in fines. Agence France-Presse

  14. I thought you were being rhetorical there definitely lean condition, too much oxygen which will oxidise the tips of the plugs over time. I have had it in a couple of cylinders before on plug removal. Replaced the plugs and checked a couple of months later and back to darkish normal. Some I think say that a few of the cylinders run slightly more lean than the others due to the intake manifold design. Although you are on a greddy now aren't you jay?
  15. what the hell is this thread?! was it ever serious in the first place or some khunt playing funny buggers?
  16. Also, most aftermarket manufacturers realise that reducing weight in their components such as coil-overs, exhausts, wheels, etc is not a bad thing. Sometimes it probably intentional on their behalf, other times it just happens due to different materials, construction, etc. Often just changing a factory for aftermarket can lose a few kg here, few kg there. All adds up overtime.
  17. well either the "average" driver is crap.. or if you ask me, the majority of drivers must be, seeing as many do have 180rwkw (approximately 235rwhp), are crap and only get around mid-13's.. me included.. Those that do get low 13sec are maybe 1 in 10 out there at a rough guess, even with similar "power" levels or the alternate hypothesis - rev210, robos and the like are pretty good drivers, and actually the minority But hey, i'll admit it! If it was easy, or any "average" driver could get low 13sec 1/4 miles with their R33's and ~170-200rwkw i think we'd all be doing it. Its a fair bit due to care setup as not every car is the same even though it may have same mods, same this, same that - and it can be a lot in the tuning. Remembing a lot of us just go to their dyno tuner and go "i want max power" thats probably the main problem. Its been a while since i have been to the dyno (or the strip for that matter to run), but i know i definitely would just want maximum across range.. not just top.. stuff bragging rights in terms of rwkw. Maybe when i first got my car it was like "phwoa.. its got 180 rwkw.. how cool it should go really fast" .. but I guess i have learned better over time.
  18. whore
  19. I think a S15 with a few mods is almost as quick as a GTR in a straight line. With an exhaust, boost, and things seem to do comfortable mid-12's to low 13's. Newer car, etc. Depends if you like 6cylinder, or 4cylinder revviness. WRX even in STi form i think are slower than people tend to make out. They will handle well with "foot to floor, turn" type simpleness but maybe that would get boring. Only drove one once and didn't impress me heaps. Depends what you want. Do you want something that was sold locally? Do you want something where handling is king? How much do you want to modify it? Do you want comfort and style rather than raw speed? Most importantly: What can you afford? (insurance cost, etc inclusive). All these questions are the ones you should be answering.
  20. know the feeling of thinking ahead and being an old khunt Just sell it....you had your fun, and losing your license for 6 months will just take out any fun of it sitting in the driveway. Bummer, it really sucks that it comes to that. You're not a danger to society (i assume? ) you're a responsible guy, got a good job, etc and yet when it comes to the road your labelled a crim simply because the majority of the population can't drive properly or handle a car. ****ing sux. I just was having enough of that attitude myself in good ol VIC, amongst other things. M3 would be cool.. if you don't want to spend heaps, maybe just something like a soarer, chaser or something. Some reckon the refinement is as good in some of the Luxury Lexus as the beamers and crap anyhow, except 1/3 the price. Cops won't hassle you because from the outside they look stock and heaps of oldies drive em. Spend evey buck on the interior and making the engine one ****ing stinker. Shove it right up the cops as you go past with 350+ at the wheels. I've seen the 1JZ-GTE handle that with stock internals so you only gotta worry about the external fluff..
  21. don't get a rex.. that is all i will say. get the others
  22. nope.. love can go **** off.. so can many other things
  23. i'm too pissed off with life atm to bother posting
  24. Got a set of GTX-X rims off an import skyline. 2x rims have Yokohama Advan 205/60R15 tyres (good tyres) with about 70% tread. Overall rims are pretty good condition for their age and no cracks or anything. These are 4stud, will fit n/a skyline and 4x 114.3 standard Nissan stud pattern (suit silvias, etc and other similar 4 stud cars as well). Will also fit local R31. Suit drifting, drag, or the like Asking: $200 or highest offer I was going to put them on my r31 but need the cash at the moment
  25. around 180rwkw should do it.. with good tyres
