  1. Basic Autotechnica black steering wheel in flat black.. 350mm. Fits standard boss kits Will post up photos tomorrow.. $30 + post or pickup on the Gold Coast Have had this on a couple of daily drivers for the last couple of years, and it's pretty well made and still in good condition.. not too bad for basic wheel, and much more direct feel than stock wheel. It's nothing fancy, but better than an old scrappy one.

  3. All I can think of is, you've shorted the wires together somehow, or mixed up the sensor wires tracing them back.. if not, you might need to bite the bullet and get an auto-elec onto it.
  4. They get pretty good reviews all around as being one of the best in class. As the demand is a little lower, and not being anything in the 'hot' basket, you should be able to get a good deal on one I would say. While the V35 would be that step above (even though to me there isn't a massive looks difference on the 4door), you'd have to consider the expense of getting parts above a local Maxima, or say a new front end if in an accident, etc. The newer the import, and the less of them around, the harder getting parts.
  5. Remove the cross over pipe, and all ancilaries.. airbox, rubber hose, afm remove heat shield unbolt dump remove.. ahh.. fark it. go read this which I wrote a while ago: http://www.project32.net/tutorials.php
  6. sweet.. wasp is just up the road.. now I know who to hit up
  7. Whats' wrong with a maxima?!! I'm getting old and all, so you know..
  8. yup.. they check all that when you change states unfortunately.. still, least when it's plated the insurance will be valid. That's why I'm getting mine done really, not for the cops so much - but in case I run into anybody and they inspect the car.
  9. not sure.. lol.. I think it's going to be a couple of hundred bucks - another reason I haven't got it done. Once I get my modded gearbox mount back, I'm going to find out who I can get to engineer it. Shouldn't be a drama, as everything is factory, and the brakes are pretty much equiv as the R33 anyhow (if not, will just get those upgraded). Getting a plate for the rb30 might be a good idea.. if you need to ever sell it, it might not pass QLDtransport without one
  10. I don't believe it has to be re-registered? It's registered currently.. or do you ? I guess I have to tell them the new engine number
  11. yeah.. it drives great, etc.. no problems. Just the legal side of it sorted.
  12. gathering dust got so much work and other shit going on right now.. just waiting to get mod plate done for the swap mainly. I gotta chase people up.
  13. I remember when squizz was cool..
  14. O Oo.
  15. That makes sense. How would the gearbox effect things? would a lightened tailshaft reduce any strain on the workings of the gearbox in turning the input shaft ?
  16. as long as you are ok.. $2-3k worth of parts maybe, but a lot of stuffing around to sell them. Least you're young, you've got time to pay it off and move on - learn from the f**k up.
  17. Looks pretty good to me.. And good price. Wonder how it would go with a lightened flywheel? Surely it would have to reduce the rotating mass by a significant amount. Wonder if it has any possible downsides?
  18. Sounds good, thanx for the info. yeah, there is something cool about them, and they're pretty unique. Yotis up here has a really nice one. That's an option I guess, bring in an older one with the 2L, and put a 300zx engine in.. might go alright hmmmm..
  19. Can these be imported at all? Looking to replace the daily in a few months with something a little nicer, but under $10k or so. I have seen a mighty fine F31 around here, and it is definitely something different and not too ugly (unlike the usual jap 'pimp' cars).. I'd prefer one with the VG30DET if possible. Are they at all possible to import under SEVS or would I have to go for the earlier 1988 models with the VG20DET and comply under 15 year rule? Here is an example to gawk at..
  20. at 1400kg and 190kw, it's about the same as a stock R33, but it's not a supercar..
  21. GTR can be plural.. as in a flock of sheeps
  22. That is kind of funny.. but it is the r31 crowd
  23. lol..this is the only real R32 GTR
  24. Could be similar to mine was, so it's 'reverse' in every gear except reverse itself.. Was yours an auto to begin with by any chance? I had to rig up a negative trigger relay to get mine all working ok, so it reversed the signal. Out of the box - one is neutral sensor, the other is the reverse.
  25. Wouldn't this mean at the end of the day there is only a small handfull of auto manufacturers worldwide? As GM owns a heap of companies, and Ford the rest? Doesn't give the consumer much competition, so is not really a good thing.
