  2. we already been through all this already this morning err.. what happened to your car james?
  3. yer, i couldn't work it out either.. i read the paper but not quite sure.. I think i might know what it is.. but yer, not sure.
  4. 13.98 after about 3 drag outtings.. Would be happy with a 13.5 or so.. before i run next i should have a ex. camgear in, and hopefully a dyno tune (hasn't been tuned for 6 months).. should help. Only thing letting me down is tyres.. but then again 2rismo i hear got a low 13sec with the ZE326 on stock turbo (non nos) so you never know.
  5. bigmaxy: it would work and be a true straight line monster.. but you're going to have problems with diffs, gearboxes and the like using much of the aussie R31ness.. and I wouldn't want to be cornering in an aussie R31 with 300rwkw or so on tap ! I have both an aussie R31 and R33 turbo, and the handling differences are pretty large. I would probably just go for a straight swap RB20DET or RB25DET in there. No need to pull apart an engine and should be fine with stock internals for the power you want of around 250rwkw. That way you can just drop it in. If you're really keen RB31DET is a monster, but in an aussie R31 i wouldn't be bothering unless you wanted a drag car, as it will probably throw you off at the nearest corner.
  6. i do really want to get in a good time on mine before i sell it on the stock turbs.. that would be nice..
  7. bah.. you don't need NOS.. max out your current car before you try that.. NOS is expensive too to buy .. for those that actually have to buy it
  8. BRING IT ON!!!

  10. hey i'm going backwads in points
  11. bahhar! i got points !
  12. hours of fun!
  13. its the synchros.. they wear... Most r33 boxes i have driven seem to exhibit this.. but can be fine for years in this state. Can start happening even on sub 100,00km (or supposed sub 100,000km cars )
  14. lol.. i think you can gives points to each other when people are good traders and the like or you just want to give them some loving who knows..
  15. JASMA I believe is just an emissions or quality standard in japan, not an actual brand. Many people get confused on this.
  16. good effort considering those tyres are ****ing shit i got them too.. my car needs a tune .. may be capable of it you never know. But great work yet again..
  17. ti'll be gone in 30 mins going on his last "features".. what about my 50 gazallion existing posts.. that means I'd be on a billion points by now
  18. Theft has been blatant in the shipping industry for years. Its pretty organised and not much the cops will be able to do. Doubt you'll ever see any of that ever again. Insurance is probably the best you can do, and I hear getting a full container, while costing more, may give increased security.
  19. hey ya'll.. Slackers! I'm at work damnit smooth: good work leaving work.. Now you can become a bum too!
  20. nah.. sounds like a very comprehensive test. The tests I have done in the past, by the RACV (RACQ up here), and others have been very superficial and a waste of money.. They have basically just been drive out and look type tests, nothing substantial like that.

  22. you were running an STI ? :-) Well i don't know, everybody says how fast they are.. yet I once saw one fully decked out and obviously had tens of thousands thrown at it and it only did mid 12's i think. And he had plenty of runs. And i have "beaten" them (under unsure drag conditions) too .. so maybe they aren't as quick as most people make out in a straight line maybe?
  23. My point was mainly.. if its a major problem, it will show when driving it or inspecting it visually. And most inspections are only to do exactly the same as you could anyhow. Other than physically opening up the gearbox, or other components of the engine (which of course no inspection is ever going to do), I don't see how those things are checked in any other way than simply driving it or checking for very obvious signs by the inspector either. I don't think they even get it on the hoist to check the chasis condition in most instances, and the tests I have witnessed have mainly been visual and a very short road test. They seem to be very superficial in most instances. If you were interstate you would at least want some piece of mind, but then again, without you supervising the test how do you know the depth the test has done?? I would never accept an inspection from somebody else without physically taking the car for a drive myself. They could have spent just 10 minutes looking at it, or the owner could have slipped them $500 to give a good report - you never know.
  24. unfortunately i am not down that way.. would give you a lift if i was.
  25. in some states cops use digital channels these days.. they need to be decrypted.. http://www.oit.nsw.gov.au/content/6.1.1.5.MDS.asp looks like VIC is still working on their system: http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/01/...l?from=storyrhs anyhow, seek and ye shall find
