  1. no.. its not really a hypo sports car.. more a tourer like they are labelled as, but should have some go.. if u upgraded the turbo(s) to a larger unit would go pretty hard i think. tHe Toyota engines have the strongest internals of any japanese sportscar as stock.
  2. mmm.. anybody doing anything tonight? i am bored already.. might be up for something.
  3. yer.. i think that exterior photo was a 1996 or 1997 (h7 or something) .. but still the ones before don't look too much worse.
  4. ok..here is the story Be quick as compliance will not be available on the Chaser under the new import scheme for an estimated 3 to 4 months from today, at the earliest, due to a delay in the evidence packages for this model. This one can still come in under the old import scheme, we have a compliance plate available. However, it will have to be organised within the next 2 to 3 days before the last of the compliance plates in Australia is spoken for. So please be quick to contact us if you are interested as it may be another 4 months or more before they can be imported and complied under the new scheme. but i can wait 4 months... in fact that is better, gives me time to sell the R33, find a good one, etc, etc..
  5. hahaha.. no white as they come.. but would be cool if i pimped it out.. hmm..
  6. http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/au/st...asp?StockID=335 here is a sold one.. thats what got my interested.. auto could be bareable
  7. it would be something different, no dont see too many around, and plenty of 1jze-gte engines itn he soarers for parts. Its possible compliance isn't available for earlier models. If that is the case but something i am thinking of.. i have been thinking 1989 GTR and RB30 bottom end, and full rebuild -- while could end up under $30k for a 11sec GTR.. i really need something cheaper.
  8. They are twin turbo yer, same engine as soarers, which have modification potential. http://www.alljapanesecars.com/viewcr.php3...r=1994&mc=JZX90 here are the specs, etc. Eug: You might be talking about 1998 or later models. They are around the $1mil yen mark, which i guess would work out to be $20-$30k i guess
  9. but i am going off yahoo auctions and whacking $7k ontop for landing and compliance. Its the best i can do to get a rough guide at the moment.. if its too expensive i wouldn't bother. may as well just keep the R33
  10. matt#2: it isnt a specific one i am looking at that, that is just a couple of example photos of what they can look like for around that year.
  11. i am talking 93 or 94 model.. i have been looking on yahoo auctions for a bit of a rough indicator.. 400 - 600,000yen. of course 1997 or so above they jump WAY up. But the earlier ones seem to be around the same price of soarers.. and soarers i am sick of seeing, too many around.
  12. inside: eug: yer.. i like to hear that I am waiting on some confirmation of a rough landed price.. by my estimates around $14-$15k. There are a lot of standard ones too so that is no problem either.
  13. outside:
  14. chaser Mark V .. its not a nissan though which woudl be a big step :-s 1JZE-GTE engine is good for around 500hp internally with no mods..
  15. nice nice.. with buckets more torque than the rb too? james: stop teasing us with events from your life and then not spilling.. yer, life can suck i agree. hmm, damn.. i think i may have found *the* next car.. for $14k i can get a twin turbo car w/ 210kw that has ****ing everything, and looks kinda neato.. and one day i can stick a big **** off turbo on it, and it will do 12's easy
  16. My mate is on the goldcoast.. There would be a few around though, in fact there is a marone one up my road with a kit which i had a chat to recently. He is always driving around, 'nother bloody loud one for n/a too! I reckon the non-turbo is a reasonable option, about $5k cheaper and things. Still a nice car, but only thing lacking is the power mainly. Looks the same after all. Will be interested to see how my mates handles with the ATESSA GTS4 option. Stagea engine swap is also a possibility to give you a RB25DET 4WD -- but i doubt he will be in for that
  17. ok..sms me, may well come along for some fun...
  18. i got an xbox.. what u guys playing?
  19. where u guys going?
  20. lol.. nah.. rb26dett dont think i have seen ur car if it looks like anything in your avatar?
  21. bahaha... no idea.. wonder who they were? lol. glenn: sweet, sounds cheap.. i like cheap - need to do gearbox & diff also. Will let you know when i need to get it done. I only have hte street here and a tiny as driveway with no room to work
  22. yer.. my brakes are ****ed.. need a flush too in the least. Never been done since i got it, could be the reason my brake performance is getting worse and worse as i think the pads are ok. may be making use of your facilities in a couple of weeks, and some of your brain Famous? why you ask that? I know most of the melb SAU crew from when i lived down there
  23. I would have spent about $4k on my car since i got it once al this shit has bee done. Actually that isn't too bad always buy a car already modified if you want to modify it i reckon.
  24. yeah.. i've been thru it b4 for 8 weeks last year .. i'd like to have it back, but when it comes back i have to get the major service done - so more $$$ before i can really drive it properly anyhow. i'll probably just take it to one thursday night, then it will sit there until i can afford hte major service
  25. no idea .. its still there.. technically it was meant to be ready end of last week, but surprisingly i didn't hear from them. No hurry, as I am pretty poor right now and when i have it back i gotta pay the $1300 for it and i only just have that much. Might ring em at the end of this week if i can be bothered.. lol
