  1. you can do that as well if you like when going from auto to manual you have to track down / buy the extra bendy pipe.. in my case was easier for me to order a new one.
  2. Krille: yeah... if you don't have basic electronics knowledge, best to leave it to an expert. Basically you need to chop the big white connector.. that doesn't mate to the RB20 interior loom - which uses like about 4 small plugs. Also wiper wiring needs a few small changes and a few small things..
  3. I got a IBS slave cylinder to fit an rb20 box and it was about $30 from a brakes place (any brakes / clutch place that can get IBS should be able to get it).. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...slave+cylinder# ^^ All there It's much easier to bleed if you spend $70 and get a one-piece braided clutch line as well to get rid of the twisty pipe.. then there is only two points to bleed.
  4. may have fallen out the back of a factory in china somewhere ? even accounting for currency differences, generally they're not all that much different in price, all around the world. Something is fishy there.
  5. great result john - I know you can do more with some more tweaking!
  6. The older ones are overrated.. and a brand new one you probably can't afford. M3 is only the base model too, they keep the real fun for the M5. Keep your GTS, and buy a non m-type BMW
  7. I think this is the one now in my car yours wasn't really that 'light' 7kg as opposed to 9kg I weighed it in at There would be a fair difference between a 7kg one and the more expensive 4.5kg ones I would say.

  9. happy bday for yesterday geoff!
  10. cya mate! He was a good driver and did a lot for motorsport in the country. He had his ups and downs but lived a pretty fruitful life which is at least what it's all about. sad way to go...
  11. Nissan.. around $5 each. They can get them in a day or two usually, if not in stock. I would have though they're an important thing to replace with age.
  12. as long as it's only your employer that is getting ass-raped on the depreciation then go for it
  13. Of course having driven both of these cars we would all be well placed to answer this question..
  14. oh well.. officially been delayed here till march next year it seems, and Australia gets dicked again! http://www.slicedgaming.com/news9481.html
  15. ctp won't insure the car itself from 3rd party damage to property, only individuals you may damage. biggest misconception in QLD
  16. there is another thread in wasteland.. no doubt why this one was deleted.. actually it's merged into the other one.. see, people know what they are doing
  17. the cheapest hankooks are probably no better than any other cheap ass tyre.. so don't just go on brand name. Just like some of the falkens are reasonable, some are rubbish.
  18. is this a joke question?
  19. The more you spend on a car, the more it depreciates.. At worst (very worst - petrol goes up to $2.50/L), a 13-14k R33 now will be worth like $8k in 2 years time... that's $3k a year, or $58 a week. It's no worse than any other car at the end of the day. If you want to not put up with that, buy a shitter.. as they are truly the bottom of the depreciation barrel. But then you probably won't be satisified with it driving it every day. It's just the way things go.
  20. Have got an RB25 PowerFC.. bought only about 2 months ago in recent group by Greddy / performance-wise. It comes with the hand controller, box, jap instructions, etc and is in *as new* condition. Basically all I've done is take it out of the box, test it a couple of times and that's it. Selling due to the fact that I'm probably not going to have the funds to have it tuned, and do the other stuff I need to do to my car to make the most of it for several months. So it's pointless sitting there. *** SOLD *** This is of course a bit of a discount on the new price, and you can receive it right away without waiting. No low-ball offers, fixed price.
  21. well the r33 is quoted as pretty much that as well.. The Galant, is a larger engine to the EVO ones, which you'd think would translate into more power. I guess a lack of parts doesn't help. The later model engines (6G75) were similar to the same one seen in the mitsu 380.
  22. drool.. I almost had to stop half way.. the technology was turning me on too much
  23. just make a 5 zip postcode bl4ck32.. jeez it does require some heavy resources, but runs ok on my older spec pc.. The levels are pretty tight, and it's easy to get into.. only played it for a couple of sessions though.. got too much other stuff on at the moment
  24. I know there is an obsession by the meat-head market to make each model have more power than the last.. but is it really necessary?
  25. bump - still available.. I think $60 is fair for it.. may take offers close to it though..
