  1. i'm getting to the point where i'm just thinking **** it, if idiots are going to be obsessed by km, when mine has done 100,000km or so and is probably *fairly* close to that.. and some that says "60,000km" but there is no way in hell its done that little.. i might be paying a visit to the wreckers for a certain part.
  2. hmm.. no idea! What mods do you have again? Mine i'm *hoping* because of the mods, and in the end the full kit about $22k. The paintjob though is starting to get a bit rougher...and the km will turn off some i think. i can of course fix that for $300 or so
  3. yer.. plates for the R32 GTR are a while off.. but they will come. Soon there will be no option anyhow once the 15 year bites it .. i predict about 3 months. Although somebody said "no big changes are done in an election year" which could be true. If so i have a few months to keep thinking.
  4. definitely my thoughts have been continuing to the one point for several months now. As long as I can get $22k for my R33 its a done deal. yeah, i'm becoming a bit more of a fan of the R32 GTR. Not so many around (up here), can look neato, and go hard of course. The only concern would be the mechanicals at that age.
  5. bit painful.. much of it has been cosmetic stuff though.. actually ALL of it has been cosmetic stuff
  6. hmmm.. Just working out i have spent $4500 so far on my skyline (actually well i *will* have spent $4500 once its all repainted and the full service has been done)..
  7. haha.. tell me about it!.. why you think every day i look at my car i'm just thinking of giving up the ghost and going straight for the big stuff. R32 GTR are pretty much the same price. Even under SEVS i could get a nice 92 or so R32 GTR for around $22k, probably what mine would be worth. Thats of course if you like the R32.. many don't
  8. well unless i hear from you otherwise.. see you at 5 i was looking at getting a couple of things powdercoated anyhow.. could always get the strut done as well if i was keen.. still no idea how long i am going to hold onto the car.. as something with an RB26DETT is calling my name i think..
  9. PM'ed my address...etc yeah, not too fussed about appearances. For $125 not complianing.
  10. today would be fine.. i'm just hanging around doing very little.. might be better actually as my mates will still be here monday and i might have died of alchohol poisoning
  11. when u gonna be around brisbane area? I won't be back to the goldcoast till tuesday..
  12. nah.. i got friends up from melb flying in tonight.. so no powercruise for me.
  13. i got some 15" yokohama azenis under the house :-s ok.. so you sure warwick? I can transfer 1/2 the money now if you like I've wanted a strut bar for ages.
  14. matt : nah, unfortunately had to pay for it.. it was the group buy on here that was done like ages ago but everybody only got em the other day. keeps the heat out of the pod which is good.
  15. done and done.. i was going to buy one off zac.. but prefer the cusco..
  16. I would pay up to $250 for good pads i guess.. the main problem on mountain runs is that i can't throw the r33 into corners too hard.. i'm generally having to take it easy into the corner and shoot it out as fast as possible,.
  17. yeah.. that oneline doesn't look too bad whatever has been done to it.. I will call them.. soon. .when the funds build up
  18. haha.. well some rumours are true lol yeah i got the lid on : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=13764 hopefully i notice a difference, otherwise thats $160 gone to waste (yet again) anybody know whehter the endless pads are any good? that is what i had on there when i first got the car, then my ex changed em over when she got the car defected and whatever i have now is SHIT
  19. hmmm... BDA will be getting a call very soon I think. Can they do all the shit like flush the fluid and all of that as well? I basically need all that stuff done before i take it up a mountain again..
  20. aren't they drug dealers or some shit? if you ask me that just makes em dicks anyhow.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=13765 turned out not bad huh?
  21. And finally.. a basic install pic and some instructions.. the numbers go to the ones on the pic 1. Undo bolts for carbon canister bracket. 2. Disconnect all hoses to carbon cannister. There is a hose down the bottom you will have to disconnect also to feed it through the box. You should be able to move it around a bit now. As you can see, it sits *in* the box, whereas the metal feed tube sits outside the box. You'll work it out. 3. Undo the rubber elbow down there for the intercooler. Both at the intercooler end, and towards the turbo end. Basically will have to take it off to feed it through the box. I found the best way was with the hose clamp *in* the box. 4. Disconnect the rubber intake hose to the turbo up near the AFM. Fit the box in the engine bay. Once the box is fitted, the AFM and pod will sit inside the box, whereas the rubber pipe will be clamped on *outside* the box. You will need to pull and stretch it up a fair bit, and it IS a prick to stretch it up to the AFM, whilst tightening the clamp (an extra hand may help) 5. There should be a screw point here, use the correct sized screw or nut & bolt to secure that point to near the wheel arch. The other mount point is under the carbon canister bracket as you can see Reconnect all your plugs and hoses, feeding them through the provided holes where necessary. As you can see, its not a bad place to mount the boost controller or valve. I'll shutdup now
  22. And the inside shots.. you can see where the plastic tubing from the front bar comes out, just under the pod there. You can also see the CAI material I had from previously, wrapped that around to provide a bit more heat protection.
  23. Done, and DONE... came up very nicely! see the attached shots. You can also see in one of these shots where I've got the plastic pipe (previous owner did this) coming up from the front bar into just under the pod. Should provide plenty of feed of cold air. I was just bending the metal up around near the strut too much, it needed to come closer towards the engine to get it all straighter for the lid to come on. Have to thank Brendan (dsturbed) for an excellent job. Almost factory look in the end and all the holes, etc were perfectly lined up for all the little plugs and the like that have to look through. All it needs now is a sticker as a finishing touch
  24. too late to do a before.. I could get the digi camera out.. If i succeed I could do an "after"
  25. Who has fitted, or currently going through fitting a CAI box bought in the recent group buy? Tried yesterday to get it, but ran into hurdles. Mainly the bonnet closing once all together. Will go out there in a few minutes and pull it all apart and give it another try. Anybody have any photos of a succesful installation? Would help greatly.
