ok, off phone then.. can legally drive without plates as long as i have the CTP slip and completed rego thingo.. all is good! So if i get pulled over by the cops its fine what time is best.. and where am i meeting you.. actually

john: yeah.. if i could.. i got my QLD licence now, got the CTP slip done today.. so therefore should all be go.. Just on the phone to transport now to see whether i can drive without the plates straight to the safety cert place and then from there straight to qld transport without a special day pass thingo.

Yeah, they are only stuck on during compliance, and some shops are known to do dodgy jobs. Iv'e heard people with similar probs. Best would be just some strong strength glue or adhesive that is of course petrol tollerant. Silastic gunk would probably do the trick (bunnings). There is also the stuff that is labelled as "petrol tank repair" which is a sort of putty which you can knead and dries to a solid seal.

I hope you've all printed out your cruise maps ready for thursday or mark it out in the ubd.. don't think I will be able to print out copies unfortunately ..unless somebody wants to do the honours?? (maybe 10 or something?)

indeed...least work as quietened down a bit.. you manage to print the map? did a test print just then, didn't come out so good on A4.. may be best just trace it out in the Refidex with a pencil or something.

Well I'd speak to some diff specialists, they might be able to build you whatever you want in your old casing and just give you new crown and pinion gears. Otherwise I guess you're going to have to swap the whole diff over for something else. Just gotta weigh up the costs which is the cheapest.

haha.. should see the original size: 4000x3000 or something!! but i shrunk it down a lot.. its a bit dodgy, but so is the UBD - the pages don't even properly follow each other ! but yeah.. should b enough to get the idea.
