are they a brand one? I have seen some cheap ones and they look very flimsey.. I'd rather go the extra if the cheap ones aren't great.

nismogirl: sometimes its the fan.. mine used to do it.. before one of the fans stopped altogether.. doesn't seem to worry it though. Upgrade time soon i think.

i reckon the snapons look untidy and just go with the plain setup till you get the seats retrimmed or whatever you're going to do

so back on the mod path? So you did it yourself? what sort of stuff did you use? Vinyl or leather?? If its easy to do I might give it a try sometime soon.

to be honest i haven't played much with the passenger side, but the driver side I had to pull all apart and replace locks and replace the wiring loom, and my alarm actuator so know how that works.

as far as i know, there is no switch in the passenger's door, there is just the handle. Usually attached to that there is an actuator that will pull the wires that connect the handle to the lock down. that could be stuck or jammed.. it sounds in your case its the actually drivers side switch thing which are known to get dodgy connections. Take that out and try wiggling the wires and see whether it comes back to life or acts intermittantly.

if its the whole stalk it could be $200.. but you should be able to get it from a wrecker for cheap. Start pulling apart your steering column up near the wheel. That will at least show you how easy it is to get out and replace.

ben #2: um, do you have like an alarm system. I know with mine the driver side system unlocked the passenger side via the beeper.. And if i disconnected the driverside the central looking wouldn't go through to the other side.
