  1. man, been working flat out here, don't even have time to whore!
  2. lol.. hehe.. i noticed! nice ceffy btw.. hmmm.. now tempted now to get an LSD put in the 31 needs a new diff anyhows.
  3. I think last night worked pretty damn well considering the rain, traffic, and other things. I don't think much else could have been done better, and the radios i think helped those that had them. Brisbane isn't the best for cruising I don't think, but its possible. Maybe North Brisbane is a possibility next time? "Extra-curricula" activities in the carpark was kind of fun.. gotta love "secret flash guy". He's going to love looking at a set of blury photos with possibly a few red smears in there ska: Trying to do a u-ie up a bit further to follow you guys and have a little fun. But ended losing you all, so just continued crusing back home.
  4. You will need one (an engineers) to get it re-registered basically unless the transport department is napping. So if the previous owner doesn't have one, you'll have to pay for it. Anyhow, i now have another skyline sitting at home can't wait to get it on the road. Might even push 90rwkw with the couple of mods its got. Shall see!
  5. August? I was wondering what was happening with this. I thought a decision would be handed down much sooner than this. If so ...
  6. Same sized rims on back and front is generally standard practice! but many will go for the wider on the rears with a RWD to give slightly better grip and contact where you need it.
  7. ..i'm just stupid

    car inspection

lol.. you want a drift car don't you? At $9k -- even with an autoconversions would be a good deal if you ask me.. at the time you can also get the RB25DET box put in which will be heaps stronger anyhow. I'd say at a guess the fuse would be possible as it uses a similar ATESSA system to the R32 GTR from what I've read.
  9. I have been there before with different circumstance but something slightly similar few years back (not speeding). Basically the court system basically doesn't allow you to plead "guilty however extraneous circumstances", you are pleading guilty to the charges presented, or you are pleading not guilty to the charges presented. There is no "guilty.. NOT" its more like "not guilty because...". Sounds pretty much what happened in this case. You will either have to plead not guilty and take the risk that if found guilty a charge will be recorded against your name, or pleading guilty and having the option not recorded as a conviction for being a traffic offence (which is possible) In most situations (me included) people end up going most of the way and end up going for the latter. Police prosecuters know this too. In your case there is the option of the cop reconsidering their position, you speaking to them personally and hoping they will drop the charges. Highly unlikely (and maybe not even possible these days as the laws have been changed.. i think it once was), as cops are stubborn buggers - but I think its possible. You can also take some legal advice and offer to speak to the police officer directly and talk over the situation in detail and offer to apologise. Sometimes the human approach may work. Really, again that comes to the cop and their own view on the whole thing. Are they the hard ass that believes that everybody should be punished (the traffic cop mentality) every single time, or are they more reasonable (most beat cops who may be doing traffic duty are like this).
  10. i'm not much for craziness tonight anyhow, not in brisbane area anyhow. Just too risky. Down the Goldcoast is a lot more open, and generally safer I reckon.
  11. hmm ... ahh: "HEAT6" yeah.. heard of that one. Bit stupid using HEAT plates isn't it seeing as you know exactly what to look for? I pretty much check for any Falcon or Holden these days for the obvious signs. Get some dirty looks from most Falcon and Holden drivers in new cars as i'm pretty much always gawking in their window as i'm travelling along
  12. me be there.. i'll probably come to milton, otherwise if i'm late (as usual) I'll meet at the general meet point.
  13. you should snap it up mr moneybags were you going to go for the PFC for your upgrades or a microtech or something like that?
  14. lol.. i only just started! i got a credit card with a stupid limit, but better not go into a debt cycle.

Should take a look at this one instead -- in Ipswich. Damn, if only few months time I woulda bought it myself - Cefiro AWD RB20DET ! fullsik and rare.. http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/...readid=67172220
  16. no.. its just in forsale on here. If i hadn't just spent a fair whack of money i would have snapped it up right away, as i need one. usual price is around $1400 - even if shipped direct from japan.
  17. anybody got $1000 lying around.. good deal for a powerFC For sale; Apexi power fc and hand controller for the rb25det. Is in perfect condition and has just come out of my 33gtst, 3 weeks ago. car inspection

Its in QLD .. RACQ up here will do inspections, but same problem as VIC in that they might not fully know imports. It will be expensive also if you are not a member. Could try giving them a call, and they'll be able to fax you the results of the test. Compression test is the same procedure no matter what vehicle, but its just a bitch of a bitch on the RB20's as you gotta pull a few bits off which they don't like doing. The number for their bookings service is: (07) 3361 2700
  19. anyhow, i am off.. always interesting to hear some of the past history of some of the old guys on here such as myself catcha.. hi and buy chaos.. see u tomorrow if u r coming?
  20. when i left melb i pretty much sold everything i had .. was getting quite dated anyhow (pro logic.. ooh wow ..lol).. in the end people paid stupid amounts on ebay so it all went.
  21. You do? prob is the depreciation on home theatre is almost worse than a car or a PC. Advantage is the PC is generally under $1500, where as home theatre isn't
  22. Thats not too uncommon.. mine drinks around that and has around 180rwkw (last dyno was 183rwkw but that was yonks ago).. more power unfortunately will mean more fuel. Last few days highway driving (110km most of the way), 11L/100km - so can make a big difference the types of km you do as to the economy unwritten law.. same, last tune mine started dipping. I have one of those CAI boxes on the way, and the pump has been in for a long time. Never had it tuned since then though as i'm hoping that eliminates one or all of those problems. Although I have a feeling it is just hte ECU pulling timing due to it being a stock ECU + S-AFC. Anyhow, i gotta get back to your PM tomorrow -- too tired
  23. yup, you and the rest of australia (and me). The saddest thing i ever saw was about 2 years ago at Telstra, one of their wanky display "this is what we do" places, had about 5 state of the art 108cm plasma screens sitting there just displaying bullshit like "telstra - the way of the future" and basically a powerpoint presentation, over and over, and probably still to this day. I had tears in my eyes. I wonder wheter plasma ever hit mainstream before big screen LCD ?
  24. ..well its inevitable that a topic about "who is best out of betty and wilma" and cartoon characters is only going to go into bad territory. What sort of a/v tech stuff? private home theatre, industry stuff or ? my old man is a bit of an a/v tech himself in melb actually.
  25. kahoots? Umart sells a few TV tuner and capture cards that can perform as a PVR. The leadtek is meant to be a good card for the price. Depends what you're after - the digital TV encoder cards are probably the way to go, but only just starting to hit the market. ~$200 that gets you a digital TV tuner and all the standard PVR stuff sounds like its going to be the way of the future.
