  1. yeah.. thems the nice ones. once I get my 400R skirts.. may as well stick one one. The ones with the nismo "swish" is even better. Can you produce these? I am sure there is a fair bit of demand? even dare i say it, for a group buy on rice..
  2. The HSV versions fair bit heavier due to the V8 engine.. and each new version gets heavier. I think the latest VY, etc are around 1700kg for the 300kw HSV GTS. reading through this document about what defines a "classic HSV" .. bit of a laugh: THIS IS WHAT IS NOT OK. The following modifications have been deemed as unacceptable by HSV. This protects your investment in an HSV Classic. * A different size of tyre than original. * Non-original wheels, including the ÒspareÓ. * Engine modifications - including a wide variety of peculiar enhancement "chips ", throttle bodies, camshafts, extractors and the like. e.g. anything that makes it perform better than the often rather toned down factory tune
  3. nah.. i need complete darkness and complete silence to get to sleep.. I'm a freak i know
  4. oy knore: answer my PM :kick: - I want some pricing on getting mine sprayed. Or at least the contact details of the place you were talking about so i can mine there to get a quote.
  5. morning (well afternoon!) all.. nah, i went to bed anyhow, but then couldn't get any sleep due to the noise of the damn wind, rain and everything else.
  6. /me removes pin and gives a wry smile ...
  7. well i'll go against the grain.. don't think GTR34 wheels suit a 31 at all.. just stick out to wide and just look wrong on the older car. Get something else for the massive price.
  8. yup, just past office works. anyhow.. i'm out.. cya!
  9. err.. milton.. its on the website: 28 Douglas St, Milton. Near the brewery.. actually what am I talking about its like right around the corner from your work I think its the first right turn after maccas then you gotta turn into douglas st. . Only been there once so i forget.
  10. nope.. flatmate owns the house and gets to park (wait for it.. ) his 80's camry in the garage.. therefore mine stays in the street. Not too happy about it, but not much I can do .. 'xcept move thats the next possibility - I need a garage for other crap anyhow.. so soonish yeah.. i been into milton to pickup my speakers.. was way busy. Goldcoast is a lot less chaotic. I've only got a CRT atm, but my old work I used one occasionally and loved it. 19" LCD at the moment are bit pricey, but in 12 months they'll be pretty much at the level that 17" are now.
  11. but... you could pay Half-life2 and Unreal Tournament 2004 with full details at 1600x1200 though and with 7.1 surround.. Don't need legs to enjoy that
  12. haha.. well i could offer one easy repayment plan of 100% interest per month and i'll only break your legs if you don't pay but thats the price you have to pay for the latest stuff lol
  13. man its getting ferocious out there! hope my car is ok out there in the wet
  14. haha.. well you know where to go
  15. lol.. only had 1 day so far.. hopefully more days next week... chris yup, desk space is a big advantage of the LCDs, and look so much better.. The main advantage the BenQ units have over some of the other brands is the higher refresh rate at a cheaper price. But might not be noticeable anyhow. I want to get one of the 17" that can be wall mounted. Not sure how I can go about fitting it on the wall though so the cables don't dangle down. Not sure whether the guy who I share with would appreciate if i cut a big hole in the wall either
  16. yeah.. another boring friday night.. too much rain.. hmm -- well my car alarm has gone off 4 times tonight.. quite the record. Gotta love buzz boxes and their buzzy exhausts driving past! hows the new monitor?? me gotta get myself one of dems LCD's soon Those Aopen cube boxes are cool too.. think I might get one of them as well. The total miniPC!
  17. lol - i remember them saying in the Gold Coast news as well "it doesn't rain enough and it doesn't happen enough to warrant a significant upgrade". Bet you the guys cleaning out there houses for the 2nd time in 3 weeks wouldn't be thinking that! Gotta watch these new estates.. most are built on existing swap land. Thats why its so flat nismogirl: i don't even want to know why you wet your bed...
  18. Thing is the majority of cut and shut are done to minimal cost (and care) and just to get the car "looking" like its fixed so they can stick panels back on. Then they flog it off to the first buyer they can find and somebody gets ripped off. And maybe one day in the post-mortem they examine the car and find out the reason it caved in on itself after the accident was because a cheap and shitty job was done. Seeing as you're actually going to be driving it and have to deal with the safety consequences I'd imagine you'd be spending some time on doing a proper job
  19. skyline_boy is wrong.. the vehicle does not have to be returned to stock as it may be imported under the 15 year rule with all modifications intact. And considering I think all of the R31 come under 1989 or earlier, you can import them under the 15 year rule. All you need is a valid engineers certificate. I'd get around to it very quickly if you're serious about actually importing, as the 15 year rule will probably be abolished within weeks(?). Compliance costs you're probably best asking an importer or engineer for specifics, but it should be around the $1000 mark. Passage is the 4 door.. like you see here in Australia with a few extras, except they come with the RB20DET engine (and also commonly non turbo in japan) rather than the RB30E engine. GTS are again 4 door like sold here..'xcept turbo. Bit more sporty looking and few extra options. GTS-X are the 2 door, and were never sold here. They're probably the most popular to import. Personally I think they'd be harder to sell when/if you wanted to sell it because most people tend to lump them in with the aussie model, as far as looks go. And the price isn't too far off an R32, 180sx, or S13 Silvia, which people around that price bracket people look for. Most of the ones I've seen for sale have been on sale for a while. But the boxy shape is kinda tough. Seeing as the aussie 4door go for about $5000 for a really good one, and $5k will get you a pretty comfortable RB25DET engine conversion Hope that helps! I think that is correct anyhow.
  20. nah.. the brand stuff is a little boring if you ask me. Go for something that really makes the car stand out -- seeing as yours is white its always a good base.. Get one of the resident forum web monkeys to go in and whip something up in Illustrator. Something like the nismo black/silver/red stripes would be incredibly cool.. like this here:
  21. I believe under the new SEVS scheme you will never see those cars being imported into Australia either anymore. Which makes them even rarer Original ones would have to be separately crash tested and certification as a separate vehicle -- costing into the many $10's of thousands. One of the downers of the new import system all you're going to get on the road are bog standard R33 or R34. How boring. Even special factory editions you're never going to see
  22. Not on a "normal" dyno anyhow.. zorst will probably give you around 140-150rwkw of course with the appropriate boost upgrade (via a boost valve or whatever)
  23. well, fun is over.. think i can logoff now..
  24. ..and hmmm.. looks like i got there first How appropriate!
  25. indeed...
