nice.. might be paying a drive down to sydney in 6 months or so

I was running a stable 16psi with stock coils 15 years old..ngk coppers BCPR6ES gapped at 0.8mm. So something else is at play that needs to be looked at. I am not so sure about mixing the splitfires and the odd one. Mixing the resistance of the coils might not be a good idea.

Interesting Tyre Review
predator replied to Bass Junky's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
on another site they were discussing a similar test.. Basically there was a consensus that the results could vary greatly depending on the weight of the vehicle in question and what would suit a heavier car might not be suitable for a sportier one. Could be true for a 325i ? I notice that a lot of tyres that are rated well for commos and falcons never seem to be that well rated by the non-tank performance brigade (i.e. sub 1600kg) -
Warranties are pretty scammy.. You always hear stories about them not paying out, or fixing things the cheapest / dodgiest ways possible which only stuff up again later. Especially up here. If you're going to do that, may as well do that youself. My philosophy is buy private, save the $2k or so, and if you get a dud, spend that $2k fixing whatever stuffed up. Especially if its an R32.. what's an rb20 engine these days - $1200?. The only time I'd buy from a dealer would be a lease situation, more formal situation for writing it off on a business, etc.

alternator tentatively sold.. surround sold clutch tentantively sold indicator sold brakes tentatively taken

so was mine.. but the rings were starting to get shagged so it didn't show up on a regular test (a leakdown would have shown different story). Do you get much blowby?

I've added a basic skin. It's not perfect, but their system is a bit limited in what you can change. Have hacked my way around it as best I can. It's a bit better than the stock look at least. 19 videos already.. looking good

yeah, mine was same.. usually around 15L/100km, sometimes up to 18L.. Was tuned, everything checked, stuff replaced methodically, the works. In the end was a lost cause. When replaced the motor everything is much more reasonable. Never found out what it was. Maybe it was just the signs of a dying engine? Loss of compression, means not as much power being developed on every compression stroke = more fuel?

another one who reckons parts should be free.. love it Anybody got a spare GT30 they can sell me for $5 ? actually i might be able to stretch the budget to $7...

32 Rb20det Afm Wat Can U Replace It With?
predator replied to (oo\__4Door__/oo)'s topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
you can also use the rb25 one (as long as its a series1 green sticker).. lol, you then contradict yourself in your next post by saying this anyhow -
Jarrod: My msn is shit at file send for some reason.. i can ftp them somewhere if u want the whole file. Got caught up with something else yesterday, but when i have a couple of hours I'll cut up that design and try and put it into their template format. It's good to see some videos on there.. I'm sure others out there have plenty of (legal!) videos to put up. Even if its just skylines at the drags, why not.

yeah.. hopefully it's not too major. but kjb_r33 is right, ebay isn't always a bad place to look for skyline miscellaneous parts. I picked up a set of spare lower arms for my r32 the other day for a silly price, just in case. In this situation you've basically got lower control arms, upper control arms, tie rods, and at worse steering rack that need to be inspected and/or replaced. Each are usually a couple of hundred bucks. As long as you haven't bent the chasis, I wouldn't imagine it costing more than $1000 to replace what needs to be replaced.
-
odd... it seems like a few silvertop R32 out there have the same problem.. but probably about 80% just can use the r32 lines and banjos (including mine).. i.e. no changes required.
-
cool.. I reckon my pulsar could do a pretty sick jump on a course like that

That'd be me..They're from that rain time last year. I can't even remember where I got them from. I think some are from my camera, and some from somebody else who posted them up. Should speak to paul and see whether he is willing to upload any that he may have.

oh noes.. that's still dodgy in so many ways. I am disappointed however you are not both making the sign of the devil.

well here is a look... pretty basic, but I'm stuffed today. Might be enough so that it doesn't look so bland. I was going to do a nicer collage or something across the top, but maybe later.. or maybe somebody else can get creative on the top area a bit more and I can add it in?

ok.. this is petty but well.. 1. Transfer $5 automatically via netbank into an ING, etc savings account each week. You wouldn't even notice it, and bang, $250 at the end of the year. Stop stuffing around with stressing about petrol! 2. Don't send pointless SMS with "yes", or "no". More than 2 SMS, pick up the damn phone to say or organise what you need to - it's cheaper! Or if you are home, call from a home phone to a mobile, it's usually always cheaper. Save $10 a week easy. 3. Shop around for better phone plan, mobile plan, etc.. Don't waste money on fancy mobiles to be fashionable that you don't use half the features anyhow. Don't get locked into expensive plans for 2 years, etc by which time the phone is throw away anyhow. 4. Go to the butcher to buy your meat and or grocer to buy your fruit/veg. Supermarket meat costs a lot more for the convenience. I can bet you'd save a lot more than $5 a week on this one. Check the prices sometime. 5. Go to the supermarket and buy things that are on special in bulk. Not supid things, but just the things you buy week in week out anyhow that store. 6. Don't be lazy and buy junk food.. cooking real food is cheaper. Make your lunch each day rather than buying. $5 a day saved easy. 7. Wait until Tuesdays or so when the prices are always cheaper on petrol. You could then go find that place that has it that 3-5c cheaper on that day and then save maybe 60L x 5c = $3, but well, $3! CBF. 8. blah.. none of the above are particularly hard, there is plenty more. Not that I really do all of these things but it's mainly just because I can't be bothered with the stuff around going out my way to save a few bucks, or sit there letting minor things worry me like "oh no, better not fill up here, it's 5c more expensive than if I went up the road!", and have a cry about the petrol prices. If I want to save money I'd do all the above before worrying about petrol. It seems like petrol prices consumes everybody when there are more important things in life to worry about, and so many other ways people waste money in their day to day things. It's funny to me.
