  1. Not many people drag 34's.. or have modified ones.. You see plenty of 33's at the drags, but not many 34s. Guess people are afraid of breaking them I witnessed both those 13.7's they were achieved with the usual boost up, but otherwise fairly stock.
  2. Its no biggie.. you just take it to an approved tester.. give them 15 minutes and they'll do the required test and tell you want it read at and whether you pass or fail. If you "fail" you just get whatever modified and come back and try again. 1. Its a b.s. law and just comes from the officers "thoughts" of whether it is actually too loud or not. As he doesn't use any meter he just makes it up on the spot. 2. Its perfectly possible to pass with an aftermarket exhaust.. I passed at 89db with a full dump system, highflow cat and Super Dragger II catback. Most won't though, true. 3. Its 3/4 of the max rev range, so around 5200rpm for an R33 4. You don't have to send it to the EPA, just take it a testing station, and they forward it on when it passes and its all done. The test is around $30 5. Here is the list of testers.. just rock up to one http://www.epa.vic.gov.au/Noise/testers.asp 6. Please do a search in future, all this has been coverd COUNTLESS times as most people have been there one time or another
  3. Well you won't notice the difference on your temp meter as thats only your coolant temperature! its not any indication of whether your engine intake charge is any warmer or not! That is what makes the difference in power. You also probably won't notice any lack of power (if there is any) just by feel.. it will be on the dyno where it may be noticeable. but yeah, its all about the noise.. its a noisy one!
  4. why two posts?? It depends on the costs really as whether the highflow is worth it..if you sell your old turbo for $500 and pick up a HKS something or other or Garrett for $2k probably better option is to just go for a different turbo.
  5. good work! have fun man! i want to get out there and do it myself, but i'm not going to take the skyline out there, its too precious. Next car is going to be more slasher. . Anyhow, doesn't look anybody wants to meet up.. but if u see a multicoloured 33 there, say hello to the driver (me )
  6. oh yeah!! Silly me /slaps forehead
  7. I think the formula goes something like this: chance_of_pullover = being a p-plater [+60%] + driving like a knob [+30%] + having attention grabbing car [+10%] So if you take the p-plater and "driving like a knob" factor out its around 10% or less That is the forumula - scientifically analysed for 30seconds in my head
  8. hmm, i think its the other way around Elad.. most Commonwhores DO have work done to them, especially the old ones.. and hoon around like nobody's business. well the side effect of this is not many people can be bothered with the power upgrades these days and we're becoming a nation of ricers. So I guess the cop thing is working on a certain segment of people. Then there will be the people that will never stop modding their car, so they can never really win.

    Rip Ns2500?

skylines are cursed melbourne wide I reckon! My mate who bought a 33GTR recently ran up the back of a taxi (nothing to do with speed, etc).. he'd only had it for a month! p.s. while i'm here, time to hurl abuse from afar: good to see summer is kicking on well for you guys
  10. oy! lol
  11. dodgy mofo..

    Rip Ns2500?

the pain, the pain! least it was't your fault though.. good to see..
  15. the attessa same as the GTR.. i think the problem will be getting a good GTS4 b4 the end of the year when the 15 year changes, as everybody else has the same idea as you. apparently the gts-4 didn't come out until about August (with the GTR), which means its pushing it late in the year to get one through before the changes.
  16. 1. no 2. this been covered a fair bit before.. search is your friend. but otherwise thats not a bad plan of attack.. depends how far away u are going to put on the turbo, but if its soon don't bother with the SAFC
  17. oh god..every p-plater wants to be a drifter now soon as they learn to drive.. god help us all
  18. $1300 won't get you much in the way of rims.. even a 2nd hand set of 17" will cost you 1$k or so. I paid $1100 for my set of 17" chromie zepters (jap) about a year ago. You may have to lift the budget a bit to get a nice set of 18"

  20. mmm, yatala pies well i was prolly just gonna shoot down the ipswitch motorway but don't mind driving down a bit further.
  21. well thats all they're useful for
  22. thats the line - i guess if you're a certain type of person and has lots of money to throw around.. i could'n't really give a flog what plates a car has on as long as it looks the part.. horses for courses.. I can think how much $2k invested at 7% p.a. in 5 years will probably be worth more than a little plate.
  23. Just there I guess at about 1.. but if enough people want to meet somewhere on the way that might not be a bad idea..
  24. Who is going to the drift day THIS sunday at QLD motorway? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=32973 I'll be there for sure to spectate.. anybody else going and want to meet up and say hello?
  25. please.. not pink.. for the sake of humanity.. if i see another chick's white excel or hyundai with pink wiper blades i'm gonna snap them off i swear..
