Its all about education, not punishment - punishment does **** all to change your attitude. It might give you fear about doing it, but it doesn't stop people doing it, and that is the problem.

it appears worse when actually editing a thread.. Its happening all the time for me, can you please set it back to how it was. I was having no problems before, and this has been appearing in the last 2 days and its really frustrating.

Heart? I think the majority of older or more mature people on here get sick of reading about dickheads doing dumb things in skylines. This just makes public perception worse and makes more difficult to drive a car we really like driving who don't be stupid about it. While, yes, maybe that is self centered, but also really I think everybody *does* have the interests of these people best at heart, and preventing them from killing themselves (or worse, others!) on the roads! Nobody wants that, so hence the anger.. Its sad that sometimes the only way certain types of people learn is by being yelled at, or ****ing up badly. He WAS lucky that is for sure. Now he needs to LEARN from this. If he is like other certain people I know he WONT for many years.

Well incidents like this are just starting to re-inforce my growing believe that no p-plater should EVER be able to drive a GTR (or maybe even a GTS-T for that matter). I am all for people having personal freedom for doing what they want, but this sort of thing is getting beyond a joke. It just makes things worse for everybody else out there, those who have had the years of driving experience to be able to drive a powerful car and keep it on the road. Could have been worse, and you're pretty damn lucky. If that pole had been 40cm closer on your drivers door, I doubt you'd be here posting about it today. You would have simply become another "statistic" to help the government enforce stricter and stricter penalties for drivers out there who drive within their limits. p.s. enjoy driving the gemini, because a GTR (or any skyline) is definitely not worthy for you :werd:

Get an older R31 and build up your rating a bit. They're a good car (if in good condition) and have enough power for just getting used to learning to drive, etc. You might put a small few dents and things in the first year anyhow. After that, you can always just sell it and get the R33 if thats what you still really want.

bah.. they're actually not slow for an engine that age. I'd regulary race off v6 VR commodores and the like which was ok back then. I took my old one up to 200km/hr too.. without too difficultly

I've got a Blitz SUS LM on mine, and yup, its friggin loud. You can hear it sucking, even when slightly cruising. With the window down its probably the loudest thing you can hear in my car! Its kinda cool, and annoying at others - but its staying on.

Well last night in Sydney cops yet again were involved in a police chase that resulted in the death of an innocent passenger (young kid) that was in when a cop was in pursuit of a stolen car. I think something needs to be done there, as its the 2nd incident i can recall in a few months, and it seems to happen there a lot. Its not justifiable if you ask me to push somebody to go 150km+ by some hot head cop. I think sydney is the worst for this sort of thing. When i was up there i noticed that cops weren't behaving much better than the "hoons" they were attempting to catch.
