  1. Just replace them.. they are about $5 each from nissan.. hardly a large sum.
  2. GTS-T models. They're the same between R32 and R33 gts-t, going to cut it to hell anyhow..
  3. After a stock turbo heat shield off an r32 or r33.. cheers
  4. If the autobarn replacement ones are simply OEM-style replacements, you may as well go for them. The ones I fitted recently seemed good quality, as good as factory. I would not waste the extra money on the nissan ones.
  5. Is it the pins themselves, or the bushes? This guy can supply bushes if you need them: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ma...rt-t261282.html
  6. You will need a socket, or spanner (I think it's a 10mm) and nimble hands but no special tools required. There isn't much room I agree to move around, maybe less so on a GTR. If you jack up the car, it may be easier to do it from underneath.
  7. hi.. yup, I remember.. Good to see you've moved onto the best rwd skyline
  8. I assume this in an R32 ? There are three bolts to undo in the engine bay, near the steering column. Undo these, pull cable to the left in the cabin, and it will come out from its slot. Pull from the engine bay, making sure now and then it's not getting caught on something. Crawl under car, unclip cable from brackets, unscrew shield from gearbox.. Fit new cable reverse of this. No you will not have to change your gearbox oil.
  9. Don't think they were that easy to import in the US, so don't think too many made it there. As above, the guys that were doing it were crims. NZ would have had quite a few, but at the end of the day, their population is only about 1/5 of the size of us, and they also were able to import a lot of other cars too. So looking like it could be true Was wondering if there was maybe some country that imported them in large numbers that I hadn't thought of outside of NZ/UK.
  10. Was wondering this today. Surely Australia must have the most amount of Skylines out of any country other than Japan? It's hard not to go an hour or two without seeing one driving around, and there must be thousands on the roads these days. With the aversion to older cars on the Japanese roads, is it possible Australia has the most amount of road-registered skylines driving around in the entire world? Food for thought!
  11. Thanks.. yeah, in the service manual it shows up as blob .. was little hard to tell.
  12. Anybody have a picture of where it is located on an R32?? It is the exterior temperature sensor used by the R32 climate control unit, to determine outside air temp.
  13. Well most mechanics charge around $110/hr.. and it may take around 2-3 hours for them to do. It's a job that is best to remove the manifold and do yourself because it is labour intensive.
  14. Could also be a fuel pump - has it been replaced? Maybe it would be a good time to do it if it is the original one.
  15. Did you get my PM and payment?
  16. I've got a pair of R32 sideskirts in good condition.. looking to swap for black set of sideskirts in good condition if anybody else has bought a set that doesn't match their car colour. Might save us both getting them painted.
  17. Or you could have used a ball joint remover Would have been in trouble if you stuffed the thread..
  18. Swapped the sides this morning.. just didn't look right as it was.. The links sit much closer to vertical now, which is the way it looks it should be. Also attached for interest showing thickness of standard bar vs whiteline bar
  19. Put in the gears or whole diff from an R32 auto.. it has a 4.3 ratio. will give you a lot quicker acceleration down low which is fun for a street car. You will top out at around 200km/hr with those ratios, but for a street car that's probably not a concern.
  20. Today I fitted a rear Whiteline swaybar to my r32 gts-t Now I'm not sure I have got the link kit right.. I followed the instructions which shows how to place the link kit, but I have a feeling it may be wrong. In the instructions it says (from right to left).. bolt -> small washer -> SWAYBAR -> link -> large washer -> end nut ... But I have fitted it up this way, and as you can see the link is on quite a lean (on both sides) It looks like the link might fit better on the other side of the swaybar (e.g. from right to left end nut -> large washer -> link -> SWAYBAR ->etc, but were reluctant to go against the instructions. Which way should it be?
  21. Putting up my r32 for sale.. owned for about 5 years. Not entertaining offers, I doubt you can find an rb25 powered r32 for this price anywhere in Australia. Almost giving this away, but have my eyes on something else at the moment. I really haven't had much time to work on it over the last 2 years, but still running very nicely. Really best suited for a potential track car, or a weekender. 1989 R32 GTST RB25det Highflow rb25 turbo RB20det gearbox - should be good to about 200rwkw, after which you'll probably need to put in an rb25 one. Full 3" exhaust from turbo back Cusco strut brace Whiteline springs over Bilstein shocks Hicas lock bar, all HICAS removed Xtreme cushioned ceramic clutch Xtreme lightened flywheel Nismo adjustable FPR GTR fuel pump GTR BOV GTR aluminium bonnet 4.3:1 LSD DBA 4000 slotted rotors front RB74 pads front Braided front brake lines Braided clutch line 400x350x75 intercooler V35 Skyline Rims (17") Full alarm & immoboliser, remote central locking Tinted windows JVC mp3 player Focal splits front Included (needs to be fitted, sprayed): Genuine GTR front bar (plastic) GTR grille GTR reo/support bar Type-M side skirts Whiteline adjustable sway bars front and rear (new in plastic) Rear braided brake lines Problems: - Aircon doesn't work. Fitted with supposed working replacement compressor, but never been converted to Australian compliant gas. For track dunga might want to remove it anyhow. - Clear from roof starting to bubble slightly (shown), although in general paintwork pretty good for that age - Small dent passenger side (shown), and couple of other small ones. nothing that couldn't be fixed pretty easily - brakes are a bit spongier than they should be (master cylinder?) Has QLD mod plate for engine conversion, manual conversion, intercooler, and larger turbo. Has been driven very little over the last couple of years, garaged 98% of the time. Have replaced many gaskets, hoses, most bushes, etc during the conversion. Currently running stock RB25 ECU, however RB25 PowerFC is plug and play with loom (tested). Add a boost controller, get a good tune, and should see over 200rwkw. Is a little rough around the edges, however would make an ideal track, or occasional road car Is currently QLD registered, but will sell unregistered and drive it to your place and remove plates, unless you can point me in the direction of somebody for a friendly safety certicate. Most obvious things should be fine such as lights, wipers, tyres, no oil leaks. If no interest will tidy it up and sell for a couple more $k later on. $6500 without bodykit parts as is $7300 with bodykit parts +$1000 with powerfc and hand controller Will not separate parts until sold I'm on the goldcoast
  22. You still live at home, don't worry, your parents will pay the loan off if you lose your job..
  23. Now comes with safety certificate and new tyres.. Now the cheapest LS400 for sale in QLD!
  24. Sorry, not interested in any part swapping.. Just obtained safety certificate.. All ready to roll!
  25. Price drop to $5200 (will be listed for more when it goes on carsales soon). Just had fitted 4x new Goodyear tyres, and paid another 6 months rego. So total $800 of extras.. for cheaper. I've also managed to get the stereo working again.
