  1. I hope you didn't put cold tap water into the hot radiator? If so, it's very lucky you didn't start the car afterwards..
  2. as above.. verbal agreement doesn't really mean much at the end of the day, as it can be challenged easily. It's really the sellers right to change their mind unless a deposit is put down for an agreed price if you ask me. From the sellers perspective as well, whilst they may not be legally obliged, they should be morally obliged to return the inspection cost if they simply decided not to sell the car (for whatever reason). Common sense, says, write on a bit of paper "I agree to buy xxx for the value of xxx ... pending satisfactory inspection of vehicle. Signed <this date> seller: <signature> buyer <signature>". Give each person a copy. No problems. Holds more weight in a legal situation if it ever arises. If you are the buyer obviously you don't write specifics into "satisfactory inspection" if you are the seller, then obviously you try and narrow that down so you don't get screwed... as what is "satisfactory" to one may not be to another. I'd put "barring problems with major mechanical items such as gearbox, engine or chasis" or some such.
  3. lol. I might muck around and create a look for it over the weekend. Will let you know if I get any progress... I just remembered I have a couple of SAU drag vids too.. might upload them as well.
  4. freakin tightasses! ooo.. lets save $200 a year.. I can think of a hell of a lot of more effective ways to save $200 a year!
  5. All of this stuff must go.. R32 auto shifter leaver, etc - $10 R32 manual climate controls in gc - $10 R32 drivers window, has the usual guide scratches (suit cheap temporary replacement) - $10 R32 auto brake pedal - $10 R32 GTS-T accelerator cable in GC - $10 R32 GTS-t bonnet latch and support in trendy black - $10 R32 GTS-T stock fuel pump (pump only) - $20 R32 GTS-T clutch slave cylinder in GC (with temporary actuator pin.. suit replace for leaking one) - $20 R32 aircon box - $10 R32 Heater box and core - $50.. No leaks. Useful for spare. R32 GTS-T LSD centre.. in good condition and bearings still in good nick. Just needs cleanup - $60 R33 rear springs and shocks (unsure of shock condition, springs look ok - FREE pickup only) R32 factory seatbelts (japan) - $10 R32 GTS-T non type-m (5 stud) single pot calipers front + lines + rotors - $free R31 engine loom (from a s3 manual), is minus afm plug - $20 R32 Steering rack - $50 Came from GTS4, not sure whether suits GTS-T or GTR, may well do. No signs of leaking or anything. Useful as a spare R32 cross member and Urethane bush - $60. Not really suit street use, as sends a lot of vibration through the chasis. It does however lock your gearbox down rock hard. Would suit dedicated drifter or track car. UAS is selling these mounts or very similar for $195 ! Updated 1/10/06 - Everything needs to go.. Parts are on the Gold Coast, QLD - The larger stuff is pickup only, rest may post.
  6. I don't have videos.. other than porn. lol. How do you customise it? Is it a template based system, or do you go in via an admin interface and can customise only certain things? well I was thinking more with the sau/googlevideo hybrid, you upload and serve the videos through video.google.com... and users post a thread in a dedicated forum on here, say "Skylines Video", with a) link to the video b) description. The thread forms the basis of conversation on that video. e.g. "my great video" http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7486583767426908809 But ok.. I see how it works now. Either works.
  7. true.. you'd have to build a website manually, with a backend which people could comment on. Not difficult. Just takes time. Vidiac has it built in by the looks of things. Just I saw the default one you'd setup and it looked a bit basic. Streetfire.net is more like it. Depends how much work is required to turn the default theme into something like streetfire The other alternative is you could create a new forum on here.. every body posts the links to their googlevideo hosted videos in there, and can comment on there. Then it's integrated directly into SAU and nobody has to setup anything other than a new forum to link to them Few options.. good idea though.
  8. why not just video.google.com ? and provide a webpage that links exclusively to the SAU videos? This vidiac thing looks a bit cumbersome.
  9. Have you tried this mr ash? Fits fine.. in fact I've got one on my rb25.. a single GTR BOV fits directly into the stock inlet pipe no worries as it has the same flange. If you want to rig up both of them as per GTR then you may have to rig up something..
  10. but you probably paid more than $5 driving down there to save $5! that's the stupid thing about the whole "get the lowest petrol prices" thing.. if you go out of your way to go get this "cheap price" you're negating the savings anyhow by spending money driving there!
  11. or.. www.motormouth.com.au I don't think people are going to update this every hour just to save like $3 on a full tank with a 5c/L variance. Come on...brain on
  12. i'm going tonight actually.. should be good. As long as QLD doesn't get their ass kicked!
  13. 100% s1 factory ECU... The 2 minutes on the search engine should have told you that...
  14. yeah.. I was also going to suggest the 12v to the grey wire as well. It's a thin one, but it is vital to hook up or you won't get any power to the injectors. That was one of the problems when I couldn't get mine first started. I reckon it's about a 90% chance yours is the same problem. If not I might be able to drop around one night this week and go through a few other checks, seeing as you're local.
  15. I've installed the xtreme 9puk cushioned ceramic behind a lightened flywheel.. good for around 300rwkw supposedly. Seems fine so far, doesn't have a massive bite, so you won't get instant wheel chirp if that is your thing. You might not like it if bang, bang bang is your style. Feel is about the same as my Pulsar so its a very easy clutch to drive. Haven't given it a massive red line workout yet to see how it copes with that. Will have to see how it goes on the track next month. Price is about $500 for the kit with the pressure plate. There is a 1000kg pressure plate available as well for $200 more or so.
  16. ROFL .. the cops are going to going to waste all their already limited squad cars sitting outside each cinema session on the off chance of potential "hoons" coming out?? Come on, believe it or not cops have enough real stuff to worry about.
  17. well he is living in rockhampton / another planet
  18. Yeah.. JHH did the work on a beefy rb20 build for boostn32 down here, he said they were no nonsense and on the ball with things. how long it takes.. no idea! never had an engine rebuilt before.
  19. yeah, that bottom end sounded knackered! I've heard good things about the engine builder you're using too, so should be a reliable engine in the end.
  20. cool stuff.. bad luck on the initial engine but onto bigger things..
  21. true, too much work these days. Although I was on the cruise yesterday (that really was me)
  22. :werd: how is daytime TV going? Bored yet?
  23. Check for 12v at the white wire going into the ignitor during IGN on. It should be fed through the IGN relay down near the ECU (one of the two main blue relays). To check injectors are getting voltage, pull off an injector plug, and check for voltage during cranking. Next thing is making fuel is actually getting to the injectors. Do you get the hum of the fuel pump when you flick on the IGN ?
  24. you don't exist..
