  1. It's only marketing and business geez. A car dealer is not in it for "fun".. they have to make money... Thats business and commerce, buying something at one price, and selling for another. And they may choose to list somewhere else at one price, and another somewhere else to maximise revenue. Can't fault them for that side of things. No, I'm not a car dealer, but I think people are losing the plot a bit when they say "how dare a car dealer buy a car for $8k and sell it for $15k!".. lol
  2. ... just bend the f**ker a little.. They are pretty maliable, just be a bit careful and do it slowly. I may have had to bend mine slightly to get it to fit (but I forget somewhat) - but all the dimensions match up. Like I've done, and many people have also, there are no differences between the locations of the actual water and oil locations or threads used on RB25/RB20.. therefore no different lines are required. They use the exact same exhaust manifold, same gaskets, same dump pipe, even the the rb20/25 turbos are exactly the same "configuration" in terms of where the water and oil lines come in and out.. etc.
  3. tell them you're too scared to even look at a mower anymore.. and have to go the long way just to avoid passing somebody doing the mowing along the street tell them you wake up screaming on a sunday morning when somebody is out doing the mowing.. with vicious flashbacks. tell them your lifelong dreams of becoming a mowing professional have now been shattered and your life will now never be the same. Ever since you were two years old you dreamed of mowing lawns all day, and now you will never be able to achieve that dream.
  4. 1999 GTR must be affordable seeing as R34 GTT is around mid 20's mark.. Must be mid 40's for an R34 GTR. Look at at one 2 years newer, and the price seems to go up 50%.. You'd have to figure in the price drop going on the 2007 GTR as well... Japanese are faddy, R34 is an old car, it will be 6+ years old by then.
  5. mine is similar to the SK height settings -minus i think about 5mm.. whitelines over bilstein. Here is a photo.. hmm, haven't driven my car for over month
  6. CRSRB25DE.. 3.4L and turbo? sounds like it could be a monster if it holds together. Longest capacity out of an RB30 block was 3.3L that I heard about.. but maybe that was you
  7. looks really good - so you made it yourself?
  8. series 1.. only got 2 left.. $35 each..
  9. PM sent matt.. most parts still available. Prices changed
  10. happy birthday big boy
  11. egg
  12. slightly different wheelbase.. way the power is delivered to the ground due to the chasis design, weight balance, different gearbox ratios, engine toruqe, even aerodynamics, etc. It's silly to say "R33 weighs <this>" as well, as s1 and s2 are usually different, etc, etc.. I know series1 R32 (89/90) is about 40kg lighter than series 2 (91-92)
  13. i have your old skirts.. as you know I look great in a skirt and fishnets.. plastic fantastic.. rowr.. will give me 500hp out my ass.. guaranteed..
  14. as long as they haven't f**ked with the wiring too much to get the rb25 in there, powerfc.. what loom? VCT disabled? These are the things you will need to find out before you decide really.
  15. meh.. you sold it.. you now drive a slow car.. you lose I actually have a piece of the lil' josh unicorn in my back yard right now..
  16. Have most of the parts to convert an R32 GTS (RB20DE) to RB20DE+T.. Injectors, fuel rail, cross over, full intake manifold (minus throttle body), exhaust manifold.. turbo ecu. Just need rb25 or rb20 lines, turbo and intercooler to complete. Have the bolts as well for the manifold, etc. $200 the lot + post if not picking up. i'm on the goldcoast.
  17. I can't believe he survived that at all.. but he did.. luckiest person alive (well another of them)
  18. There's only 3 on R32 torque converter.. did it the other week.. We used bar similar to yours bob.. but like 5 or something extenders stacked up From what i can tell there is no such thing as a "manual" cross member on the 32.. my auto one was same shape as the manual one i bought... and then I got another, which was the same. All that *might* be different is the actual bush.. and like wise, only 2 out of 4 bolts fitted on. You will also need a set of longer bolts for the manual box, as I expected to be able to use the old auto ones. You can't.. too short. Technically the 'sandwich' plate between the engine and gearbox are different manual and auto.. auto is 2 piece, manual is one piece. But I have used the 2 piece, and it seems to be work ok. I've got photos of nearly everything.. will be up on my website sometime soon. There may be possible issues with tailshafts and rb25 engine and rb20 box into r32 gts-t.. but thats another story.. which I think I have sorted.
  19. you searched 'everywhere' huh? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=58778
  20. some good info on the loans approval process there.. learned a bit myself. Well depends what you buy.. In some ways I wish I had make the sacrifice earlier and spent say $30k on a car at age 19.. by the time it was paid off when i was 24, if I didn't buy something that is not totally going to plummet (i.e. an import), and trashed it, and it was still worth say $20k.. I'd have sold that by now and have the deposit for a house. People say 'save it, put it to good use'.. yeah fine, but maybe only 1 in 5 people can actually save and not spend it on just crap. If you have loan you are pretty much obligated to keep paying back and make other sacrifices to meet the repayments. Its poor saving, but it is at least forced saving. I wasn't in a position to be able to afford even $20k for a car until after uni at about 24.. Asking $30k+ for a loan is pushing it.. I think i had to go for a $5k loan for my second car, and even then the bank had to think about it. But times have changed a bit with financing - banks attitude is 'we dont care really, give them whatever they are silly enough to ask for'
  21. I think your head is definitely in the right place with this, but the actualities of it probably wouldn't work out so well. A lot of the drivers that are the troublesome ones are the egotistic "won't happen to me, I'm 18, I can drive as well as somebody 30 years old" - so this sort of thing goes straight over their head. I know when you sell a car you've cared for and put a lot of effort, and probably time into, and probably some customisation to make it 'yours' its hard to let it go to somebody young, where it might be wrapped around a tree next week. You could always give it a try.. Ideas like this are good though.. the Governments(s) should be pretty much make this *mandatory* with any transfer of a car over say a certain power/weight - and say somebody who hasn't done the test in 3 years or something. Would save quite a few lives... over the bullshit 'speed kills', and all the rest.

From what I can see here, part number from Nissan is 00933 1301A They will probably be the same size as aussie R31 (rb30e) ones if you try repco and the like.

  24. no news here.. illegal and organisde street racing, etc goes on in every state, and has done for decades. Its just a bit easier to organise these days with technology. It takes place in melbourne, sydney, and S.E. QLD.. no big deal, it just seems all of a sudden the media has worked it out after all this time.
  25. Got a rb20det silvertop head.. should be fine condition, as was working fine until I took the engine out. Removed intake cam and camgear.. but rest is complete and assembled with cam covers and plastic cover. No mainfolds included. Suit replacing a cracked head, or get it rebuilt to higher specs. Asking $120 the lot..
