    Give Away!

You'd trust me with a pet?
  2. Got my old rb20det .. All assembled, but pretty much just long motor.. no accessories or anything like that. Head should still be good condition. Block could do with a re-ring as fair bit of blowby at 16psi, but pistons, block, rods, etc should still be good nick. Has done 115,000km SOLD Send this one off to get rebuilt whilst you drive your dying rb20 or something

  4. After a few rb25det engine hoses.. easier to illustrate .. Basically after two off the recirculation hoses circled in red.. and the metal pipe for the fuel pressure return ..circled in green.
  5. Can anybody confirm 100% that the auto and manual r32 gearbox cross members are different? It's just that we've got the RB25 in (with rb20 box attached), go to bolt the cross member up, and it appears to be 2cm out to aligning up to the gearbox I was sold an "manual" cross member, but when I looked at it, I remembered that when I got it ages ago it looked 100% the same as the auto. So it was either "well the cross members are the same"... or I've been ripped off by somebody who doesn't know what they are selling So are they different, or are they not? Anybody have a picture to compare? Here is the the old auto cross member (which is the same one as in there now).. minus bush
  6. auto won't suit.. already been jibbed because somebody sold me an auto one as manual
  7. found one! thanks
  8. It was still related, even though it was a little off-topic.. obviously we touched a little nerve on poor Kat..
  9. Check a fit on the late 90's Maxima ones.. I was looking and they are rated at around 110-120amps. Could be a goer if they fit. And probably cheap from a wrecker.
  10. Yeah, I often see examples that seem to be high km, then you start asking 'hmm, maybe these are just the ones that *haven't* been wound back.. I even thought a 'high km' R34 could actually be a better thing.. or does that just indicate that its 107,000km or whatever, means it *really* done 214k+ .. or 107k ?? I'd actually like to know the answer to that, as if its the lower, there are probably a few bargains to be had.
  11. still available.. ignitor sold. need stock rb20 bits. I have.
  12. ^^^ refer to the above statement
  13. who cares if its not your birthday, you are only getting one.. happy birthday ...mr president.. <rorw> <jumps out of cake>
  14. Do they build the engines.. and have all the machining equipment inhouse?
  15. If you buy a car 10-15 years old and expect nothing to have to be spent, you're in dream world... Of course, you can lucky, and I think imported japanese cars give you a better probability of things lasting longer. But welcome to the world of owning a car.. Usually in the first 6 months (or even less) you will know whether its rooted or not
  16. People always say "oh its got a service history so it must be true"... but a service history can always be forged, and how do you check the authenticity if you live in a country with a totally different language and culture? yeah.. imagine the shitness of australian traffic x 10 ..eek!
  17. talking to the sales rep ... he was sure all the power outputs mazda quoted hmm, enough said there I think... Advantage? You mean its an advantage you're going to get raped 1/3 the value in the next 12-18 months...
  18. Maybe its just an R32 problem? then again, its probably a different sensor I think that is mentioned in the big o2 thread.

  20. yeah.. the rb25 ones have like 45vX where X = version number.. The rb20 I think are 16V Its all covered somewhere you know You tend to forget things and think "oh it'll be on SAU if i need to find it"
  21. The wastegate isn't giant.. its the same size as the rb20 one, which you can see in the background. Thats one of the earliest RB20 ones (1989 model) so i think is a bit smaller. They're not so identical.. the differences are more subtle visually. 1. Such as the point for the wastegate directly on the housing (mind you this is on the rb25 turbo, just hasn't been tapped out from factory). 2. The exhaust housing looks a bit fatter on the rb25 3. The inlet port is smaller and I think a little bit longer on RB20 And of course they have different markings. To the eye it seems more obvious I think. Its a bit hard to tell when both are fitted and everything such as heatshield, etc is covering it up though.
  22. I think I have another angle somewhere...
  23. Can you add me to the list? cheers...
  24. LOL.. i see it needs a TPS though.. which I have.. for $40
