  1. ROFL.. next you're going to say.. "If you don't like it leave" or some other ACA/Alan Jones/John Laws catch-cry... lol
  2. I have run an R33 fan on my R32 for a bit... so the other way around. The R33 has 7 blades, the R32 6.. From the amount of air the fan was blowing onto my hand, the R33 felt a fair bit more superior, but I'm not sure how much difference it made to the cooling of the radiator itself.
  3. everyone wants them.. I could do with a set myself.. haven't seen any available within the last 6 months at any reasonable price, so i do without.
  4. LOL.. I guess my daily driver on 260,000km is some super car..
  5. Pulling apart my RB20det to sell as parts... Still left.. Alternator: $80 (have been told this will also fit RB25 too) Engine ECU: $50 (auto - will apparently also run manual fine -- get it chipped, la da) Injectors: $20 each .. Fuel Pressure Reg (will fit rb25) - $40 RB20/25 Exhaust manifold: $50 SOLD Crossover pipe and BOV (BOV same as RB25 one) - $50 SOLD Clutch Fan: $30 SOLD Intake Plenum inc fuel rail, AAC, etc (minus TB): $50 SOLD Throttle Body+TPS - SOLD CAS: $80 SOLD Ignitor: $120 - SOLD All were working fine on the car as far as I know. I'm on the goldcoast.
  6. nice james... always fun to pull the car apart and work out how the hell to put it back together afterwards. Wiring will be fun too. Just waiting on the clutch and a few other tiny parts now to do much more on mine.. thats the crappy part of the conversion so far, just waiting on things!
  7. ok.. I will help with what I know at least.. The first photo, the main plug connects to the body loom inside the car.. Depends what car its going into? another R33 or ??? If its another car, or r32.. you will have to chop it off, and wire things to the dash components and a few other things. Well 2nd photo you have a lot of working out to do, as that hooks into the main body loom, and eventually to the ECU. From what I gather so far (could be wrong), the yellow ones are the main auto control signals, that go to the ECU. The others are probably like TPS, tacho, etc so that the auto ecu knows when/how to change gears, etc. In the third photo is a pressure sensor that sits on the firewall.. That probably connects somewhere into the battery loom side and not the main engine loom. Basically it just reads the boost reading in the plenum, not quite sure why.. but I think its optional - as I remember in my old R33 it was never connected up to the manifold.
  8. yeah, they swap across.. I guess that if you put on an R33 one, there is a better chance the spring will be slightly fresher than the R32 one. Otherwise, with the two BOV I swapped across, I noticed stuff all difference.
  9. r32 box yes, no mods required.. R33 box.. tailshaft requires mods. They all have the same bellhousing pattern, so that is not an issue.
  10. On my 32.. I've modified it with an extra feed from below the airbox, in case it needs it. I used a hole saw to cut out the circular section. Fed that with an old piece of intercooler piping, that goes to the front bar area. Invisible to the eye, but gives an extra feed to the box if the engine needs to suck in more (cold) air.
  11. I don't see the fuss.. skyline does something stupid.. guy falls out.. guy dies.. One less idiot around. So this guy should be protected from doing something stupid, killing himself?
  12. very nice... obviously a lot of time and effort was put in for the details, and it shows.
  13. After the thrust bearing carrier, and retaining clips that attach it to the clutch fork.. You might have one sitting at the end of a gearbox that you can separate If you have one lying around, let me know. Believe its the same across S13/180sx, s14, R33, and R32..
  14. Thats normal.. Its blanked off, as on an auto, another plug goes in the end.
  15. Ok..well got it out.. Just used normal rubber/packing grease. Makes a damn mess, but eventually it will come out. You might have to pack a fair bit in, shove the socket in the end, and then pack some more in, etc. Then I just gave it a few brutal taps with the hammer.
  16. I need the rear window rubber for an R32, if you could rezz a price (and its a common one on R32's).. A windscreens place quoted about $180 to replace it with a generic seal
  17. Mine is an 1989, and its the Hitachi 23100-59S01... The one I have stuck to my RB25 has the same part number on it, unless its also an RB20 one. FAST Lists a 23100-70T16 (newer is 17) for RB25 ? I don't know what yours is Cubes - I think I did hear somewhere they sometimes came with Mitsu' ones. I got my old one btw b00ster if you are having trouble sourcing one.. $100 + post. Worked fine on my r32.
  18. I've got a regular non-type M, and its got the viscous LSD. Everything else was as described (until I messed with it) yes, I'm crazy...
  19. not really at that price.. sorry.. soon as I put it in the main forsale area should get a buyer within a week or so..
  20. I got the crossover + bov.. $60+post.. Post should be about $15 from QLD..
  21. Unfortunately I don't have a slide hammer.. or welding equipment (or knowledge!).. Not an option for me Guess I'm going to have to try the grease method. Looks pretty tight in there unfortunately...
  22. I'm selling one for $150.. but if waldo drops out, and anybody is interested... let me know
  23. Ok.. I have to give this a try.. never done it before. I'm reading this, but not sure that I quite understand the process going on.. So you basically pack it with the dry lube, then get a socket or bolt that fits just inside, then tap it. But if you are tapping it in, how does it pop out? Sorry, just don't quite get it. So the dry lube has nowhere to go, it shoves out the bush? is that how it works? Where do I get this dry lube stuff? Repco, supercheap? I've got a photo here, so people can see what we're talking about.. This is an RB25, but same spigot bush I believe. Looks to have had an auto behind it previously? as the one in there seems a bit too skinny... whereas the new one I have, fits just perfectly over the manual gearbox's input shaft.
  24. way too much.. friend bought a series 5 the other week for $9k.. paint needs redone.. but otherwise good mechanical condition. seems a bit slow stock
