    Give Away!

    bed.. photo?
  3. I'd just stick with the rb30e+t.. works well for quite a few people with 200rwkw or more achievable given good tuning.
  4. also same size as R32 gts-t.. r33 gts-t
  5. .. and the road toll... goes where? I can't fathom it.. Obviously speed cameras do not work, and yet they keep trotting out more and more, and more and more stupid tactics. Bracks needs to stop shoving his head up his ass and blowing.
  6. lol.. you'd look soooo lankan driving that around Looks very clean though.
  7. victoria is a shithole for that reason.. its all over the top
  8. 156,000km could be high, but then again, if you looked at many other "76,000km" cars you'll find condition surprisingly similar <_< Most from japan have done somewhere from 150,000 -> 200,000km I tend to think by 15 years old, and so many seem wound back on the 32's (esp. the 89/90 ones).. So I'd just go on condition of the car, rather than just km. Don't forget all the bushes, suspension setup, etc, etc if you are going to do any motorsport with it -- that can add up to a lot to replace the bushes, get the right suspension setup, etc, etc in an old car. Conversion to manual can vary.. but expect about $1000, and a real headf*ck finding all the little parts one by one. If you can get a wreck might be able to snap up a steal on the lot. "Weird noise" can be anything from like idler pulley like you say, to engine bearings (i.e. rebuild time).. So get it checked out first to make sure it is actually minor. $100 is bullshit, thats what the part will cost itself- not the labour. I would expect around $400 for any workshop price to replace the idler bearing, as just to get to it will take a couple of hours. May as well then do timing belt as well... so really, will be up around $600 for that to be done by a mechanic (depending on where you go of course)
  9. I think you answered your own question A front cut is the best option.. Also will mean you should get the front end hubs, discs, brakes to do the 5 stud and brake conversion, proper loom and ECU. Also if you get a manual cut, the right gearbox, clutch, all that, etc as well. Then you just need the rear hubs/brakes and an LSD - and you should be done.
  10. I get around.... this was my room with a view though -- not bad
  11. diet program for cops? maybe would be a start for maccas, subway, etc can stop giving them as much free junk food as they like ? do they come with free clear tail-lights.. and pink car seat covers? and a giant sized fart cannon? and fully sik 5 sub-woofers in tha back to do the laps? actually.. sure they're actually real evos and not just riced up FWD pov-packs with a bodykit ? <_<
  12. Mine's just going at 115,000km.. bubble, bubble.. Hopefully yours hasn't cracked the head or blown the gasket.. I've always stopped when its got to 3/4 on the temp gauge.
  13. I saw it down Mooloolaba Esplenade bit earlier today.. you must like driving around
  14. A suggestion not a whinge this time Just saw this on another forum. I think its another module (not sure if its available for IPB) but basically.. there is a link under your avatar to "members ride" area where you can put in a short description of your car, a photo, and anything else of interest. Could be a good way to actually see the cars behind some of the member's posts on here There is the gallery true, but often that has a lot of other random cars in there, and there is no space to add any text information you might like specifically on your car. A suggestion anyhow.
  15. no.. use glue.. double sided tape will make them fall off and probably look terrible.
  16. If you are prepared to spend another $5k you can get some great fun out of your R33.. Don't buy an old 89/90 model GTR for $22k if that is what you are thinking. I wouldn't spend too much less than 30k to get a good R32 GTR
  17. My mate is looking for at possibly an R32 GTS-T, 180sx, Celica GT4, silvia.. or something along those lines. Japanese only really, but doesn't necessarily have to be an import. Must be very clean, a few mods nice but not mandatory.. Prefer non-black. Preferably a turbo, or at least something with some poke. Nothing tasteless with terrible bling bling rims or horrible body kits, stupid decals or the like. Must be manual. Has cash in hand from sale of old car. Looking to buy like yesterday in goldcoast or Brisbane area. Car will have to be inspected before sale however by workshop. So if you have something like this which meets the criteria, you could have a quick sale.
  18. Interested in.. 1x Sway bar - link F 8 -- N21169 1x Sway bar - mount 20mm 2 -- N21063 Thats if the link kit would suit R32 GTS-T front? .. it says 8 bushes.. does that mean it would be enough for front and rear? Timeframe would be 3-4 weeks (no rush).
  19. That's other lump is just a resonator.. meant to quiet things down a bit. I think the catback there in the photo is setup for a cat at the end...I think it is - really depends on the length. You will need 2x 3" exhaust gaskets (get from exhaust shop).. You'll need the other for when you replace the factory cat (which is only 2 1/4" -- a restriction) You may not require gasket goop to get a good seal (although its probably an ok idea). You will also need 4x M8 x ~50mm high tensile bolts to secure it to the Cat.. Get them from Repco, Bunnings, etc. They are a brass colour. You don't need a rattle gun. Just a good 1/2" socket and shifter, and a spanner on the other end to hold the nut. I fitted my fuel exhaust system myself. Takes an hour or two. Probably less if you have a friend to prop it up for you.
  20. cough cough.. I've had 2x modified skylines at over 100,000km (and thats only whats listed on the odometer), and never had misfire problems. I think the average life would be greater than 60k.. but yes, people can have coilpack problems.
  21. I had standard springs with the Bilsteins for a couple of months. Felt fine, and the firmer shocks gave a large difference on their own... Sure, when I got around to putting them in, the Whiteline springs gave a bit firmer ride during cornering, but to be honest there wasn't as much difference as I would have thought. As long as your stock springs are still in reasonable condition, its an option for a while.
  22. you'd want leaf springs.. but seriously.. kybs, konis.. or if you have some money - bilsteins.
