  1. this thread is now gay.. ca18i is where its at..
  2. people are dickheads.. growing trend.
  3. good condition.. suit getting round a defect.. $100 pickup http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=100929
  4. Have a set (x4) stock R32 GTS-T skyline shocks and springs. When I took them out to fit new setup, they still were not too bad for originals to me. Springs are still fairly firm, and shocks still ok. Quite reasonable for age. KM on them are around 105,000km (pretty genuine going on rest of car) Comes with full strut-tops, and rubber bump stops. No dust covers. Can put the springs back in the front before sending. As you can see from the pix.. bottom rubbers of the rears fairly worn -- but was ok in my car for a while. Maybe you can swap in some new generic bushes? I'm on the Goldcoast, in QLD.. Shipping will be $30 or so if you are not local. Price is $100 FIRM - or maybe i'll auction them off to defectees
  5. 1JZ-GTE over rb25 for sure.. I'd even put one in my skyline, except it's too difficult
  6. That's what i think too.. ok at lower levels. Soon as you get some power going through, the lag just gets nasty and you then have to spend more money on cams, or camgears, careful turbo matching, etc to get what back you're losing down low. But again, if you need to drive slowly around the streets (i.e. VIC) it doesn't matter if its slow down low or anywhere else. But I live in QLD .. and the roads are pretty open here and a lot more freedom. Anyhow, had a mildly modded rb25, got a mildly modded rb20, getting another rb25 .. from experience I know what does it for me.
  7. damn Did think it wasn't looking too healthy with the amount of blowby when I was checking that AFM problem a couple of months back.. but didn't really want to get u worried. I think best solution may be an RB25 halfcut and go that route.. may cost $1000-2k more will add to the sellability of the car as well if you guys decide to sell it later on. A few dudes are always after little bits and pieces for the rb20 which u can sell eventually for $50 here, $100 there, etc (head, turbo, injectors, loom, ecu, etc)
  8. got a maltech braided line in the recent group buy one piece line for $70
  9. I would try another mechanic dude
  10. Slave Cylinder for RB20DET manual box.. Brand: IBS Brand Part Number: IBS-JB4215 http://www.indbrake.com.au/ -- call for distributors in your state. Cost was $33
  11. Called the distributor (IBS not PBR), and they pointed me in the direction of a stockist in my area. IBS-JB4215 was the part number which was compatible with my old one.. http://www.indbrake.com.au/ -- call for distributors in your state. Cost was $33 Can't beat that for a brand new unit. You will need to use your existing 'pin' out of the old one, or you should be able to easily find something else suitable.
  12. i just think people have no idea these days .. want stock and they can never afford to modify it believe that even mildly modified means 'thrashed' and about to blow up at any moment want the cheapest but wonder why it stuffs up dont buy an r33 because they're too 'common', but buy an equally common r32 believe that r33 are somehow 'slow' or mangey at driving compared to an R32 or R34 Despite only ever driven some regular joe car which is 5 times behind in all respects. want to pay 'cash' because they cant get a loan like everybody used to want a 10-15 year old car to be 'immaculate', with not one scratch and behave like a new car its all a silly market..
  13. rb20 and rb25 exhaust manifold are the same..so what will fit one will fit the other.
  14. If you turn down and go down to nimbin area its an awesome run through there as well.. and the "drive to suit conditions" signs you have gotta love!
  15. no.. 3" dump to 3" cat.. to 3" catback with 1x 45deg bend in it and then the magnaflow. Does sound good though
  16. I have a magnaflow on my rb20.. bit droney.. but to be honest I think its over the 90db on my car when you put the foot into it. Low down its fairly quiet.
  17. i'm with ash..rb20's are crappy.. ok up to a certain point, but after that not worth spending too much money on them. modded rb20 good highway cruiser from 100-200km/hr.. but amongst town I'd almost prefer an rb30E
  18. it wasn't too hard.. took about 2 hours from thinking about it, to having them in..
  19. yep.. I am a contractor as well.. Take the day off!
  20. I wouldn't bother doing it in a totally 'stock skyline' as the gains will be minimal ..wait off until you have replaced the exhaust system, and fitted an intercooler.
  21. Quicktime Pro... but unfortunately you do have to pay for it.. I think $40AUD Its a very slow painful process for longer videos. If it was faster in converting from other formats, it would make the whole ipod video more versatile as a useful video player. The video for ipod is in .m4v, which is an MPEG4 file, with Apple's own protection algorithm built in.
  22. I would just keep updating the current list. I want to get out there a couple of times this year.. but swapping the engine out and doing a whole heap of stuff at once very soon So may not be till around mid-year I can get out there.
  23. I have a Canon A70 Digital Camera... Comes with: * 16mb Compact Flash Card * 128mb Compact Flash Card (enough for 70+ photos on high res) * USB cable * Wrist Strap * A/V cable (to show your videos and photos on a TV) * Original box, instructions, etc. Specs are: * 3.2megapixel * 3x optical zoom (proper lens zoom - also has digital zoom) * USB 2.0 transfer speed * DiGiC processor used in current models * Good manual adjustment available, as well as standard "auto" mode. * Takes quite reasonable quality video with sound Camera is a couple of years old. Picture quality is excellent, and as good, if not better than most cheap digital cameras I have used, even now. Can provide sample shots. With a good set of LiMH batteries, I get about 50 or so shots and several days continuous use. As expected with a camera a couple of years with good use, has a few *minor* scratches on the case, and the viewfinder screen. This is not too bad or effect viewing. The only slight fault it has is that occassionally the ccd may flare out weirdly. Tapping the top of the case it goes back to normal. Only does this rarely, and has for 12 months or so without getting worse. Asking $130 inc post anywhere in Australia Here are a few scaled down sample shots...
