  1. yes we do.. its not just cars, its all the sorts of crazy things you do at that age. Not that they're right, or not life endagering sometimes, but they happen.
  2. thing is much of the GTR can be improved.. you are able to improve on some of the weak points by building your own.. You can say $30k GTR vs $30k GTS4.. but I know which one I'd prefer if everything was done right in terms of even just reliability..
  3. I don't 'dob people in', but neither will I lie to protect somebody I don't know when I have got the guys licence details.. thats all. The other thing with the licence issue. How the heck do I know you are not going to do a runner?? I could get your address details, they coudl be totally made up, never to be heard from again. This happens a damn lot. I've heard of people its happened to. At least with a licence number and the address I have some hope of tracking down the person. I am really just protecting my own ass in the situation. Yes, well its a scam they do offer the insurance to p platers, and then don't pay out. I'm not sure that trying to do other dodgies to get them to pay out is really doing much to fix the situation. Its a huge risk to be taking...
  4. you won't be paying $5 a week.. where'd you pull that from?? YOU ARE STILL IN THE WRONG. That is the be all and end of the issue. So why try and get out of it or try and insurance a car that is clearly not insurable in your name? You shouldn't be driving that car! Its not that hard to comprehend. Its about time p platers realised this.. no wonder the cops bloody pick on you every 5 minutes with these sorts of attitudes.
  5. if he was driving illegally whats the f**king difference?!! he was in the wrong, the cops get called its an over situation anyhow.. no squirming your way out of it. And like I said, most policies have uninsured driver protections, you are covered.. the uninsured guy is the screwed one. and like I have said, I am speaking from EXPERIENCE not just making this up.. 2x .. both uninsured as not driving their own car.. My insurance company knew they were not insured. I heard nothing more. But my car got fixed. I didn't see why I should have to lie to protect somebody I don't know from a bar of soap. like I keep saying, think you can get out of it. A 20 year old or whatever is smarter than a multinational company? I'm speaking from experience here (friends, etc long time ago), not just saying it. I'm trying to protect you from your own silly selves!
  6. nope.. why the hell should they be driving the car then, if they are not covered. Just because they think they should? well thats generally not a good enough reason. and yes, as soon as the insurance found out (and they would) you would be driving an uninsured car and you're not covered. That effects the policies of legitimate drivers who are entitled to drive these cars, their premiums and are legally covered, and its something that peeves many people off. In the end however, most insurance companies have polices that pay YOU out and fix your car so it makes no difference to the legal driver...as for the student, he'll be fronting the court and the insurance company's lawyer. Its going to be something hanging over your head for 5-10 years, a debt that you'll be paying for a long time. Don't make any difference to me, my car gets fixed. I've had to do this TWICE to uninsured drivers (a while ago now).. but the time I had to do without my car for weeks, with it not being exactly the same as before, etc.. all for something NOT your fault whatsoever, then you kind of get peeved at the situation. You f**k up, you pay the consequences. You try to beat the system, the system catches up to you.
  7. ok, you have an accident ... a PROPER one.. not some little fender bender (which costs less than 1 years policy anyhow to fix).. the police are called to take statements ..quite likely because its an import.. they take witness names, your name at the scene. Even the other driver could decide they don't like you, realise that at the time of putting in the claim, its angry driver vs MRS xxx, not angry vs MR xxx .. dobs you in. There is no way and hell you are going to get out of it. That is why I, and anybody pretty much *always* request the licence details of the other driver.. most do pretty much...anyhow, keep thinking what you want to think, but soon as you have an accident you're going to get REAMED.. no question about it. Think you're more intelligent than a massive company with hundreds of staff all trained to know about every trick in the book that may have ever thought of... don't think so. And yes, I'd be the sort of c.nt who *would* be making sure that if I knew the other driver was in the wrong or doing something shifty, I'd be making sure the insurance knew about it. Yes, there are many people out there like me. If somebody runs into you and its totally their fault, why should you suffer one tiny bit?
  8. bloody homosexual car.. who the hell riced that thing up anyhow..
  9. MSC I would not consider to be a social event.. just too many people, and its not too personal. You drive, take few photos, drive home. Hungry has a good idea..
  10. as somebody said brilliantly previously.. its the synchronised swimming of the motorsport world
  11. drift is not even that good. seriously!
  12. nah, then I just end up getting in fights with the same tossers out and about
  13. i dunno.. wankers using sms speak in a lame attempt to be cool keep me entertained for hours..
  14. I'd like to see where you have really seen a GTS4 for $8000... and not just imagined it, or hoped it was true.
  15. its in magazines, and dvd's .. therefore it must be true. people seem to be scared of the racetrack... the boogeyman lives there
  16. YES .. only takes a few seconds of the search button, and you can get an instant answer rather than waiting.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=86456
  17. of course its illegal to mention online in a public forum to everybody when these incidents occur. keeps everybody nice and in the dark, and not able to make up their own minds about these incidents. i love it. It is afterall his own personal opinion, nothing more.
  18. started happening today.. it sends me the actual index.php rather than displaying it.. much as i like seeing all the code behind the site... i'd rather not see it.. seems to only happen in forced induction area for some reason?? firefox, xp, blah..
  19. nobody has ever asked this question... in fact I don't think anybody this week has even asked the same question..
  20. lol.. just be careful who you get.. sometimes they can be just as bad, if not worse than if you did it..
  21. I've owned both.. Take both for a drive in anger if you can.. and you'll know which one is better pretty quickly. The only weakness I see is the 2L, but with the engine swap, that fixes that. You won't notice any fuel economy differences between R32 and R33. As for working on? same really.. you can get to things under the r32 a bit easier. Thing like the oil and fuel filters are a bit harder to change, but in the scheme of things its not a massive disadvantage. Also remember, whilst there may be slightly less R32 out there, if you are picking off the good parts from the r33 (diff, brakes, gearbox), just think how many wrecks and R33 you have to choose from
  22. i just realised that you want the cat.. and the cat may be a bit broken, so dunno.. $50 for the catback? get a cat off anybody R32/R33/R34/silbeer/, cyass has one. I have the dump as well, but you probably don't need that.
  23. i got the lot cocksucker.. goldcoast come pickup.. bie
