Flashing exhaust temp light after broken coil pack!
predator replied to Psymon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Which model skyline? also the exhaust temp light is also your error code for the ECU. So it may be flashing "problem with coil pack" (although it will show up probably as "ignition" in fault code chart). Also if you have disconnected the temp sensor, that is what it is going to do, just keep flashing.. I just cut my cat exhaust sensor this weekend, and noticed no flashing light syndrome (r32) on mine, but who knows there. -

Joshwa.. i never said that getting a loan made anybody lesser.. he was ranting on on about how he was young and blah blah, paid for the car himself and was so special because he bought the car on all his own working hard "are you jealous because u didn't own a skyline at that age?"..blah He got a loan for the car, which any other 18 year old with a steady job could do - nothing special there. -

ok, reading back you got a loan... but that doesn't get any massive respect in my book. if you had paid cash straight out, then thats a different thing. Getting a loan, anybody can get.. at any age, who has a job. -

MUMMY DID BUY YOUR CAR YOU EVEN SAID SO. i am shocked i wake up to scott come here scott my mum Yelling at me its like 11 she was outside with a white Gts-t Skyline r33 outside i am like wtf is going on I go out she shows me the car and says she found it at a dealer down the road i am Shocked for a Dealer in my shit town to have a import next i look at the price on the window thinking it will be heaps You are a brat. You act like it. You get pulled over for being a spoilt little kid, police don't like you for this attitude, and then you whinge and bitch about it. As you are indeed a spoiled only child who thinks at age 18 and know everything about the world.. and you know nothing. If I was a cop I'd be picking on you every 2 seconds too in a small town as your parents clearly have no sense of responsibility. Enjoy it. A s13 will fit you perfectly with your attitude.. off to nissansilvia you go.. where you can write how oops you wrote into a tree one day.. -
Well looks like they are phasing out the Monaro. Guess everybody will have no choice but to buy Japanese or Euro to get their coupe fix.. The iconic Monaro has been killed off by GM Holden again, with the company deciding to stop production of the reborn car this year. A final batch of 1200 coupes - about six months' supply - will be manufactured from next month in a special bronze livery to mark the end. About 40,000 Monaros have been sold on four continents since the car's revival. The Commodore-based coupe stopped motor show visitors in their tracks in 1998 and hit showrooms in 2001, reviving the legendary 1960s nameplate. Since then, GM Holden has exported the Monaro primarily to the US, where in left-hand-drive configuration it is badged as a Pontiac GTO. It is also exported to Britain with Vauxhall badges and to the Middle East with Chevrolet badges. Holden chairman and managing director Denny Mooney said although another Monaro may emerge, there is no plan to build one as yet. Ironically, the forthcoming VE Commodore, due in showrooms in the middle of next year, has stymied development of the next generation Monaro. AdvertisementAdvertisement "We need to work through the release of the new Commodore next year and then we need to see how we can get a business case up for the new Monaro," Holden spokesman Jason Laird said. It wasn't possible to engineer another coupe while developing the new Commodore, he said. "The organisation can only do so much at once."

Well your parents may buy the car, but they're not going to pay for the day to day running costs. Maybe they're secretly teaching you something. -
This is all getting to bullshit levels every single day now. Little Johnnie now wants to install more security cameras everywhere to monitor people at train stations, on the streets, etc. Bob Carr is talking about giving police and other the authorities to search any bag at any time in the street. The obvious counter to this is, "if you are doing nothing wrong then why are you worried". But its getting a bit over the top and where do you draw the line at personal freedom? Pretty much most of our rights are being taken away one by one, and there is very little opposition to any of it. I mean the guy shot in the head in the UK with "shoot to kill" orders by the UK cops, and totally innocent. Running late to work, so was running. Say I drop my bag on the ground accidentally at a train station (it can happen) because I am absentminded and leave it there. People start going nannas because they think i am some "terrorist" dropping a bomb. The word is out (but I have no idea), and some cop sees me and decides to shoot me in the head. I don't even know what happened, but I am now dead...for a simple and honest simple mistake anybody could make. This terrorism thing is really just making governments go stupid. Where does it end?

R33: HKS Cam gear, Timing belt & Water Pump install
predator replied to Col-GTSX's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
man, can't believe how shagged your old shocks were in a car that age, and they installed aftermarket, so probably a couple of years after the car was made. good work on the 040.. bit of a weird design that one with the flat feed. So did you get it to feeding right at the bottom of thank via modification of the standard bracket? Just a question on the shock dust boots - where did you find replacements? Bilsteins are definitely a massive improvement.. my car handles as nicely at 160km/hr as it does 100km/hr, and haven't even changed my springs yet. -
I have spare room available for $100 week + bills. Place is a 2 bedroom unit, situated in Labrador. Close to pretty much everything, and short walk to Griffith Uni. Garage is mine, but safe offstreet parking available in the driveway (rare for goldcoast) Place is fully furnished, and have 1.5mbps ADSL, etc - but you will have to provide your own bed etc. Nothing fancy, but not a dump either. Bond, and steady job essential. IF you want any further details, please contact me or call 0417 016 326 Or if you know of anybody who may be interested, please pass the details of this on. -Gordon

jake32... top pic!! love it

4WD engine into 4WD chasis... the sumps require modifications to switch between 2wd and 4WD, etc. also.. stag halfcut may also be cheaper to less demand
-
personally i'd get the bonnet done blue as well if you have the chance.. as i think black plain bonnet on the blue doesn't seem to sit right (but that could just be me)

Hi, Definitely for R32 2 door (1989) To be honest, I have not tried printing it out, as I own no printer, but somebody else said that they had used it successfully above. Have you measured all the dimensions on your MDF to ensure that each of the measurements is the same on the diagram?

predator replied to Bunta's topic in Queensland
Personally I'd turf out the old ALSD diff, and get a standard one put in. Plenty of people writing off their R33 lately, shouldn't be too hard to find for $500 or so, maybe less. I know this seems a bit extreme, but I'd rather be spending a bit more and running full aftermarket management such as proven PowerFC, than just an e-manage. Depends what your goals are for the car.. just a bit more power, or ready for aftermarket turbo, etc later on. -
been a while since i had the old r33.. but 1st was about 40km/hr 2nd up to 70km/hr 3rd up to 120km/hr 4th up to 200km/hr 5th.. who knows.. fast ~250km/hr ish all @ 7000rpm

All done! Happy with the final sound of the exhaust too, nice and quiet during everyday driving, with a good sound (but not massively loud) when you step on it Looks nice too. Just what I was after. Nice and professional in the end.. got a couple of new gaskets too to give a nice and tight seal. If anybody is interested, the ones for a standard cat are ACL JE931 (can buy from Repco for $4 each)

:werd: via legitimate screening.... It will get to the point, where only those that have traded previously, and have an established presence on this forum for 12 months or more will be freely traded with, but hey, I'm not complaining
