i'll be back with a time soon, just been busy collecting credits as i'm nearing 600 days playing time. Apparently there are 4 black le mans cars for sale in the used car lot somewhere around the 600 day mark for $800,000 in total.

i found the original (stage 5) turbo upgrade to be far better for drift setup as well. it's a low rpm high output turbo, unlike the stage 4 turbs which is more of a high end rever.

I'm not using a router atmo, and since i have a spare network card i thought it might be the cheaper option, this way with a bit of tricky wiring and a network adaptor cable for the ps2 it should run well. but i did consider using a router at one stage. Thanks for all that extra info, gonna go read through it now to see if maybe another option is better suited. I was just thinking $$$ atmo as i've spent a bucketload on GT4 with the steering wheel and all.

Not sure if any of you guys have looked into this yet but there is sort of an online racing option. It's actually the LAN game settings, but if you hook your ps2 up to your pc and use a tunneling program, it tricks the ps2 into thinking that it's hooked directly into another ps2 and not thousands of miles away through the net. The catch is the you would need an excellent internet connection. Here is the link for the tunneling software. clicky clicky Let me know if any of you are interested, cause i'm picking up an extra network card in a day or two, and i'm gonna give this a go. I'll post up how it goes, if connection is ok, etc.... If it's good, we can start a comp on Burg...hehehe

like viper said, the driving force pro is the way to go & personally the only way to go. I as well as a few of the other guys on the forum use it, and i'll swear by it as the only way to really play GT4.

soz for the double post, but maybe we should make it 3 categories, stock (manufactures vehicles), modified & race cars as seperate categories. just as idea, as the stock sections is starting to get full of race spec cars.

i think what he did was take consecutive photos and used a .gif editing software to make it into a vid (moving gif image). another thing u could do is use a capture card on your pc and hook the ps2 into it. thats what i've done, and so i can actually make .wmv & mpeg2 vids of GT4 if i so wished. -
it's only in the slightly longer events. not all (beginner events in particular) will have them.

cool, i'll probably post times on sunday cause i won't be able to play before then, flat out tonight and tomorrow, i'm feeling sorry for myself and my golden slipper members tickets.

my PB at Nurburgring in a GTR R34 N1 with exhaust, chip and suspension setup does a 8:10 min so far.... but i agree with that if there is gonna be a time attack comp, we need to set a standard. Since it is a skyline forum, i think we should probably stick to a stock GTR of some sort.

regarding the power conversions, im not sure if this is happening to everone (i assume it would be) be it dos'nt actually make a difference what power unit u pick it still shows the same figures in your garage.... my N1 GTR is both 410 HP and 410kw?!?! it happens to all my cars. there is no actual conversion...what the f***?? Thats abit lame...why put the option in for diffrent power units if it makes no difference.................

my first drive was in a R34 GT 25T light mods, chip, exhaust, suspension and boost gauge.... well being a true Z enthusiast, i loved it like any other nissan brother. Was extremly impressed by the grip (something use Z lovers are not that used 2) and the steering.... i could throw it into any corner at any speed and it would grip. loved it but my heart lies elsewere....

you go to either original circuits, city course, world circuits or dirt & snow and instead of free run, select photo drive, then go for a cruise. when the replay starts, u hit select when u want to take a photo and it will let you adjust all the photo settings like shutter speed, camera angle etc.... -

do you know if it's possible to just connect a USB cable from your ps2 to the pc to download pictures, or is it neccissary to use a flash driver. BTW cool pics, that mx-5 looks sick. -
Alot of the secial conditions events are all fairly easy and most of the cars you win are worth a mint. especially the Rally d' Capri in easy mode win you vehicles worth in excess of $250,000. I'm sure your evo will be up to scratch for winning this event. Also maybe try the manufatures events, i'm sure there is an evo challenge

correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the Blitz ER34 D1 a Gt-t? i know it's not a stock gt-t but it made it in to the game unlike it's R33 conterparts.

I'm using the fusion HDTV DVB-t plus tv-tuner. its a high definitiion tv tuner for the pc but it also has a capture card built in. this would set u back bout $210. a cheaper alternative, but just as effective would be to either just purchase a cature card or (i just saw this a few days ago on the net) a VGA adaptor for the PS2. the basic advantages of the tv-tuner is that i can record video footage as well as watch tv on my pc.

having the driving force pro helps with drifting as well, but seriously as everyone else said, it's all dependant on vehicle setup and your control of the vehicle. it's not like the bull in NFSU with it's unrealistic crap drift.

thats why i pluged my ps2 into the pc... now i think our aguments are gonna be more along the lines of "you play that thing too much" hehe

HAHA just took an M3 for a spin on Neuremburg (pardon my german) ..........HOLY SHIIIAAAAAATTTT.. this track is insane!!!! this is gonna take forever to master. it's the tightest, fastest, crazy one turn after another track there is. it's sooo long. anywayz i'm going back to play some more . ciao

Should'nt have much to complain about as out of the 700 odd cars, there are 57 skylines... now thats huge. btw here's a list http://www.complex-solution.de/gameaction/...cars.html#japan that list you got is missing a few, i think there are a few tuned ones as well, such as the mines R34, the carbon R & a blitz one if i remember correctly.
