Meh, that photo is alright I guess :S Prefer the shots from the car wash though. That's when my digital SLR got fried thanks to getting a dip @ the beach...

South: Fremantle wharfs / near Little Creatures / around E-Shed Markets...too many places to mention A very clean place which was my top secret place for about 4 years until the owners of cars I photographed there started telling others so now everyone else is doing it, is behind the CSIRO building in Bentley. Big loading area to work with, plus unlike most car parks the lighting there is daylight balanced (non tungsten) when it turns dark. I went there the other day to go shoot my Skyline, but they had some other stuff going on there so I didn't bother. I like my work carpark in Myaree (cnr North Lake Rd / McCoy Street). Reasonably clean, big area to work with. South Perth foreshore *yawns* Garden City car park (any of them), though you'll only last until security kick you out. Sometimes you have hours, sometimes you only get 5 minutes to shoot there. Or click here to see some stuff I did for club I use to associate with :Model / Car Photos Taken around various place close to Perth (all within 25km radius) Cottesloe, Perth, car wash, Freo, Mt Pleasant foreshore... I'm actually waiting to get the exterior & interior of my car finished before I do the model / car shoot of my car. Might be at the end of the year I hope.

Yeah my mate got a partial reading of plate, and within about 20minutes I'd say they nabbed the car. However I think the man dude that did the fight did a runner before the cops got to them. To top the night off, go through a booze bus and dyke cop was not far from giving my car a yellow sticker. I was about to flip, esp after it took 4 hours to get my car back.

I was having a great Friday out with a mate tonight, and deciding to head to the Queens from Tigerlils we took Wellington Street where I was planning to go up Barrack St and all the way through to the bar. Get to the light at Wellington / Barrack St, we're sitting behind a Ford Laser. This old dude (late 50s, early 60s) walks down the street, and then goes up to the Laser and has a talk to them. The dude walks off, then after he walks 4m down the passenger door of the Laser flies open and this dude with an already ripped up t-shirt (looks like he had a fight already) goes for the old dude. Fists start flying, and before you know it they've crash landed on the bonnet of my car. The old man eventually falls to the ground, and then the dude starts laying into him. Two other guys from the car come out and then join in before they were called back in the car to make their get away. My mate looks down and goes to me 'Man, we gotta help this dude. He looks like he's dead' . My mate can't get out of the car, coz the dude is right next to the door, so I get out and he comes through the same. I walk around and see the dude and he looks like he is dead. Blood everywhere, he wasn't moving. Call 000, however just as I called some Perth Security dudes had seen what had happened and were already on radio to the Police. To cut a long story short, then we had to wait for some senior cops to arrive, then my mate and I taken to the station to make statements, then we walked back to the car to wait for Forensics to take some photos, and then what happens was just some ordinary cops came along with virtually the same happy snap camera that I had and took exactly the same shots. This took 4 hours of our time all of the above. Later get home and notice heaps of dents on my 1/4 panel from when they crashed over the bonnet. Later this morning I'll probably wake up to find more damage than what I saw Got to wash all the blood splatter off my doors as well :S Some of the pics from the night:

My best puddles story was when I was driving through Dominos carpark in Myaree, and it was totally flood. Fully sick Commodore driving coming opposite direction with window down, and I floored it through the water (in another car btw) and he got absolutely flooded with water. I made a quick dash for the exit hahahaha.

When I saw DBH in there...I knew it had to be a joke. HAHAHAHA. They're the worst offenders I'd say :(

Has anyone seen any multinovas today? I haven't, but have seen a strong police pressence on the road, mainly traffic coppers pulling people over.

This I'm hoping is only a minor hiccup in the car.. Done a few launches of late, and noticed everytime I floor it the revs reach 6k, pause for a bit, then goes all the way to 8k. Usually from memory its a smooth quick single rise to 8k. Do I maybe need to replace coils, or spark plugs or clean injectors...or is it possibly something more drastic? I hope it's a quick fix as I want to take my car to the drags this week for the first time.

Gerrin apparently only does a/h services now, however Andrew should be able to help you out. (Andrew - 0411 632 129). Otherwise if they can't do the job, Lightning Towing aren't bad either. They got a very nice truck that managed to get my mate's pretty low and kitted S2000 on and off very easy. Costed him $150 though from the city to my house (15km) however that was like 1am in the morning, so the price imo represents the service. But call them and find out how much it's going to cost.

I think Groove got in trouble last year as they were playing too much music that other stations had to pay to play on. They, like 95.3FM (I did a bit of air time there in '07) are a community / non-profit station, so they had to stick to strict guidelines which I would assume Groove didn't do.

Might be interested in the cam gears and camshafts Paul, will get back to you when I try and figure out some specs on the stock camshafts. -
Yeah count yourself lucky. Last night..or should I say early this morning (around 2am) I was heading NOR on the Kwinana Fwy (right from the start of fwy) and another car and I were just keeping up with each other, then all of a sudden as its getting close to the Berrigan Rd exit, this car comes out nowhere from the bushes and the other car puts on the brakes first (must have noticed it first) and then I look back and its a Highway Patrol Car (behind the other car). I then slow down to a point of doing 80 as I didn't want to go overtake the other car, which I think the HPC was hoping I would do. Then the HPC just floors it and flies in between the other car and I and puts on like 5-600 meters in seconds even after I get back to 100. No lights on, nothing...I had video camera on hand next to me and for some stupid reason didn't put it on to record them. Could have been my first 'Police Hoons' video, would have looked good for them over the Easter Break when they are promoting the road safety / don't speed message!! I bought a few Lotto tickets after my thing a few weeks ago..won $12..probably covered the cost of the tickets I originally bought hahaha. Also, if those guys were D's / Tactical Responce...they usually don't bother I think handing out fines from what I've seen so far when I've been out on the road with detectives for work. Just means more stupid paper work for them in the office, and they've got better things to do.

Think I spotted you guys going through the intersection of Leach and Risley St, Booragoon around 11pm. I was at the lights in my other car, just finished watching Step Up 2. Would have joined in, but my fuel tank was right on zero at that point. Nice pics Optic

Just high flow the stock turbo if you don't want to splash out on lots of money. Otherwise, check out the Forced Induction forum for help on the above question. If you want reliable...usually that means spending good money to get quality stuff..everything from fmic, turbo & ecu. It's good to ask us a budget to give you, but it really boils down to YOUR budget at the end of the day.

"K" band is the band used on most shops that have electronic opening doors, and is also used by Police with their radar machines inside their car.

Was a good cruise (good Skyline representation), though bailed after first meet point to then jump in on a cruise with the 35 GTR by pure chance. That was the best part of the day.
-
Coming back from doing a little bit of that cruise on this afternoon, I jumped in on a small cruise with some of the Antilag crew by pure chance while going through Cottesloe. Along for the ride was the new GTR. Lotus vs. GTR Only on GTRs!! Made my day.

I want to know how the yanks got an apparent 800hp out of their GTR's stock engine, until an oil pump gave way. I've been trying to find an issue of D-Sport Magazine to see if they have a progress build up on the car..

I got done in Sydney when I was living there (driving WA state plate car with WA license). The fine I recieved should have knocked me off my WA license, but nothing ever happened besides paying the hefty speeding fine. The cop asked if I was on holiday or living in Sydney, and I said I was living here and just arrived. He then told me I had a few months to change it over, but meh...6 months later I came back to Perth anyway and didn't get pulled over by cops during that time. If you get pulled over, say you're just on holiday. The 3 months thing is just a preference thing they say, coz otherwise you won't be losing your license from speeding etc. Got a mate here who has been on SA plates for years, never gets done by multinovas or pulled over by cops to ask about his plates etc.

If I'm still in the city ~9, may come to meet point (& that's it) otherwise no. Don't need to visit the fuel station for the third time today

WRGMG.... not long ago I was on my way home and I have this blue Honda Jazz kinda keeping up with me from behind. Then he starts to tail me for half of my journey, so I decide to speed up ahead (left lane was empty) and get away from him. Get back into the right lane which was pretty blocked, and he comes screaming down the left lane. I'm semi tailing the car in the right lane, with less than half a car gap in front of me as I didn't want this joker cutting in front. He pulls up in a position where someone would make a stupid move, and I was about to grab my happy snap camera incase he would pull a move on me but I thought he would have more brains that that so I didn't bother.... I was wrong. He just starts merging and indicating where there is clearly no room, and he knows I'm there. He doesn't back out of it either, and I just had to pull back (with horn and lights flashing) so we didn't hit. I wish I was in a $100 bunky as I would have just spun him off the road otherwise. After he merged, no bother to acknowledge his mistake though I think it was far from a mistake. The driver then gets the hint I'm not awfully happy, so he sticks to the speed limit after merging and creates some 100m+ gap in between him and the other car in front...even to a point where he then slams the brakes on me. A passing truck then toots the guy in the left as I think he was close to running up my ass. I eventually get a gap in the left to serve this c*nt, and expecting to see some asian driver based on the dingle dangles coming down from the mirror, I see this middle aged white dude (looks like a doctor) with his mail order bride. He starts giving me the 'loco' look with his fingers, and I'm like how f**ken dare you especially after what he did to me..which was no accident. I think from now on if I got a get feeling some c*nt is going to do shit like this again, camera is out. But the stupid thing about it, I bet cops won't do shit about this...but I bet they'd like to talk to me after the serve I gave this top bloke. I think there needs to be a STUPID DRIVER LAW instead of a HOON LAW. RANT OVER!!

You'll just lose whatever is in the radiator obviously, as it will all start pissing out when you take off the bottom hose.

Funny you say that.. Couple years ago my cousin's gf party got gate crashed by these fck heads, and about a week later I'm in Freo with a friend and I'm introduced to some of her 'freo boys', and they start bragging how they gate crashed this party, smashed all these guys and stuff. I then start laughing and they're like 'You know about this party?', and I'm like 'Yeah, was my cousin's gf's party'.... you should have seen their faces when I said that. Not sure if anything happened to them after, as one of the girls from this party was king hit by one of the guys and her dad was out to kill the dude. Plus with someone doing sh*t to your car...they've either got to be awfully drunk or just plain outright weak dogs. As in Pulp Fiction : 'What's more chickensh*t than f*cking with a man's automobile? I mean, don't f*ck with another man's vehicle' I don't bother street parking my R unless there are plenty of people around to make sure it's safe (typically during the day), or if I'm going somewhere for 10-15minutes. Night time say in Northbridge I park it at my work HQ where there are video cameras all around the building. The expense of having a 'quality' performance car in general (not a bunky drift s13 for example) is usually youv'e got to pay for parking (in private / enclose areas).
