Hey guys. I don't mean to hijack the thread but I'm considering having the engine in the wagon rebuilt. It's been using a bit of oil and smoking a bit so I think the rings are kaput. Who would you recommend for an engine rebuild? I get my services done by Hyperdrive so thought I might get them to do it unless there's someone better out there.

Yeah legal of course. Thanks guys that's excellent.

Hello all. On Saturday I will be bringing my Autech wagon and moving to Perth after living near Kalgoorlie for the last five or so years. I was wondering if fellow Perthians could help me out on a few things. - What are peoples favourite mechanics or workshops? Preferably ones with a dnyos and have experience with Power FCs? - Where's the best place to get a new windscreen for my wagon? - Where would be the best place to get my front spoiler either repaired or replaced? It looks like crap after getting hooked on gutters once too often. - Are there many good car clubs that do hill climbs and that sort of thing? - Also my car alrm plays up from time to time. Wher would be the best place to take it? Thanks in advance for your help. Zane.

Hello all. I just recieved my new air con compressor and now want to order a belt so I can take it to get fitted. The old one snapped when the compressor seized and I dont have it to get the numbers off. Oh its a series one 260. Does any one know what type of belt I need? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. Zane.

Sounds like redline it is. I'm gonna get a major service done soon. I'll make sure that's what they put in it. Thank's guys.

Hello all. Lately a problem seems to have popped up in My series 1 260 that when I drop back into fourth to overtake a car or something it grinds like anything. All the other gear changes are fine. And if Im change back while Im slowing for a corner its normally OK but sometimes will still do it. I've tried double clutching but that didn't really help. I don't think I was really doing it properly though either. Could it just be low fluid or is my gearbox on the way out? I haven't checked anything as yet. Thought I'd get some ideas first. Cheers guys. Zane.

I say the 2nd ones too.

Hey guys. The other day I was buggering around in my car and noticed that the tank inside the lil compartment right up the back on the drivers side (series 1 rs260) which Im pretty sure is the Atessa fluid, is missing its lid. The level is still OK but I can see where some has spilled out. What kind of lid sould it have and where do I find one? Will the fact theres no lid stop it from working properly? Can I get some sort of airlock in the sytsem or something? Any info would be great. Thanks.

I can take some if you like. What do you want photos of? The light they put out or the actual install themselves? Yeah thats it the light with the two lines. So its a rear fog light. I wonder if they put a reverse light in for me. Cheers for that Ill check it out.

Hello all. I installed a set of Xenons on my Series 1 260 today and while I was buggering around with the headlights I noticed another switch on the headlight stem I hadnt taken any notice of before. Its on the headlight stem next to the headlight switch. It has an off position and two others. One has a pic of a headlight and the other has a pic of two headlights. Im assuming one is for fog lights (which dont seem to work). What does the other one do? When I turn it to the second position it brings up a little orange headlight symbol next to the tacho. Does it make it so your high low beams stay on when you turn to high beam? Just curious is all. Also what kind of bulbs should I use to replace the fog lights if theyre blown? Cheers guys.

Hello all. When I went to start my car today it was sluggish to start. Like my battery was a little flat. But it did start and once it was running I could hear a belt squealing. I didn't really think anything of it even though this was the first time it had happened. My old wagon used to do it all the time. But then I could smell burning belts. I turned off the aircon and it stopped. Then turned it back on and the revs dropped about 200revs and the squealing started again. I hopped out and had a look under the bonnet and everything looked as it should then sure enough when I turned the aircon back on the belt was slipping. It was barely turning. Even when I was driving at 100kmh I tried it and I could hear squealing and my revs dropped abit. Obviously theres something wrong with the compressor but Im just wondering if anyone might know what exactly. It the pump seized or does the clutch on the pump need adjusting or something? Other than this the aircon worked fine although I did notice it wouldnt get anywhere near as cold as my brothers R34 Gt-t and on hot days it really struggled. Are compressor motors easy to come by and roughly how much? They look like theyd be a pain to replace. Is this so? Sorry about the long winded post. Any help would be great.

I'd definitely be keen. I haven't met another Stagea owner in WA. Or anywhere for that matter.

Hello all. The other day I pulled into my driveway and hopped out of the car (Series 1 RS260) to go inside. As it has a turbo timer it was still running and as I walked around it to go inside I could hear a hissing sound coming from the rear. Sounded like my tyre going flat. But it wasnt. Im assuming it's something to do with the HICAS. Is that normal or could it be leaking? I've also noticed it can pull to one side sometimes while driving straight. Its not a consistent pull sometimes it does it sometimes not. I've only just bought the car and it's been like it the whole time. I've read in posts before alot of people do without the HICAS. Should I just do that too? If so what's involved? Any help at all would be great. Zane.

Cheers. New cat and new gas struts are on their way.

Evening all. I just took my car to get inspected and it failed because of two reasons. One was the cat was missing and the other was cos the gas struts that hold the bonnet up are leaky. Does anyone know where I can get a catylitic converter and some new bonnet struts? Thanks Zane.

Just looking at both those bars. it appears they have different mounting holes. Will they both fit? The cusco one would look neater cos the tabs come out to the side rather than straight up like the Greddy one. Wouldn't it? Anyone have photos of an installed Greddy rear strut bar?

I'd also like one of these but can't find them on the net anywhere. Does anyone know where I can order one from? -
Hey Mike. I don't suppose I could get you to give us a little description on what type of bar you have and how you installed it please? I agree with the others. It looks really neat. And easy to remove.

Maybe PM RBNT. I'm sure he'll be happy to help you if he can. He had one on his.
