So to pull the pump, its held on a bracket [see pic] that slides upwards, this is on the front inside. Size difference is obvious lol
Put in a Nismo R34 GTR pump as the GTT version doesnt flow enough for what I need. It is a tight fit and some modification is required. Ended up:
Trimming the feed line above the pump just below the upper notch as the pump is way taller.
Cut the size of the sock tube to put it roughly in the same place as the OEM pump sock.
Trimmed a bit of the bottom of the bracket [sock wont line up to bottom slot due to pump being wider]
Worm clamped it to the side of the bracket.
Trimmed one of the insulation tabs due to it pressing against the tank.
At this point Im hoping it doesnt make too much noise being against the tank, but only time will tell.
The good news is the connector fits right into the lid so no need to swap connectors, left the smaller ground alone as I have previously read it is not req for install. I have the tomei pump relay harness which will be installed soon to skip the modulator. Didnt know that some R34 GTR's have the battery in the trunk so I will be running a wire after the fuse to the back of the car and grounding the negative.
