Wouldn't take either option unless they were incredibly cheap tbh..

If the black is freshly painted and not chipped/flaking off just paint over it with some brake calliper paint.
-
If it's still running it's probably fine to be honest If you damaged it at all you'd know by now...
-
There should be no reason you can't remove this and tap or weld a fitting on to this, but a new genuine rubber hose with quality clamps will last at least 10 or so years without leaking.

Had an enjoyable weekend with the car. Took it up to Dural to visit family, of course after washing it yesterday it rained all over my hard work.. lol! -
$16,000 plus or minus a little bit could get you a stagea and an R34 front end conversion kit Even if it cost you $20k all up it'd be better spent than supporting that f**kwit My 2c..

Jordy's R34 Gtt

Hey guys! To attach the side skirts and pods i used a few little dabs of sikaflex and/or double sided tape depending on the size of the surface as well as some the supplied screws which JSAI sent me along with the skirts and pods. In regard to the front mount i didn't really have much of a problem with mounting it as it previously had a turn flow inter cooler installed. I can imagine that you would need to shave maybe 50mm off the front bar to fit it, however the blitz turn flow seems to hug tight to the rad support area as the pipe goes underneath. As for ground clearance i don't feel this is much of an issue (YET) as i am not overly low, i have retained the stock splash guards and under tray, however they did require some trimming, i took a 7cmx7cm chunk out of the drivers side area to fit it back on correctly but you can't see this until you're under the car.. -
To fit the injectors under the stock plenum I believe you require 1/2 length injectors. This guide was written by an SAU member http://www.trak-life.com/diy-converting-top-feed-injectors-r33-gts-t-skyline-rb25det/

Help With Fitting Size And Thread Pitch
Jordy32 replied to MJTru's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
As in the thread pitch? I've found most jap gauge sensors I've seen/used are all standard 1/8npt from defi, old greddy, nismo etc -
I'm almost 100% sure that plasmaman offer a universal TPS for this? I've seen people make all sorts of brackets and tabs to spin the TPS though

Rb25de Neo Head Gasket On Rb25det?
Jordy32 replied to Saruthewhite's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Why not buy an rb25det NEO which matches the car? Sure it'd be a pain to buy and ship one but if you're importing a car I'm sure you can work it out... -
Rear pods are a nismo/z-tune item They look to be the real R34 GTR version rather than the GTT copies which are longer along the rear face of the bar. You can look at my build thread for pics of the GTT pods other than that I'm not sure, looks mental though lol

Putting Rb26 In Nissan 300zx Tuning/mod Questions
Jordy32 replied to scuttx's topic in General Automotive Discussion
"I'm going to buy a 300zx for $1500" - worried but okay "I'm going to put an RB26 in it" - Have you thought about this, i don't think you have. "It will have 450hp" - Not unless you know what you're doing "It will be my daily driver" - lol k Too much need for speed. I'm a supporter of new ideas but this is not even a project I'd consider doing and I'm generally quite confident with cars. Buy a stock TT 300zx and turn up the boost a bit clean it up and maintain it. -
Jordy's R34 Gtt

Aw thanks guys, I really appreciate the kind words! A package from Kudos arrived a week or two ago with my new Blitz type SE turn flow inter cooler inside which I was keen to install! While i do have an ARC turn flow front mount, unfortunately it has had a few bumps in the bottom and a small repair, while it still flows well i felt it was a good time to replace it and the ARC will be used by a friend on another project so there is no love lost. As all other genuine parts the Intercooler kit came well packaged and included everything, bolts, brackets, hose clamps and joiners Unboxed and unwrapped. Fresh cooler is always a nice sight Unfortunantly im not a fan of the typical polished alloy look so i gave them a rub back with some scotch brite Hung them up in my poor excuse of a work space Hit the pipes with 3 coats of etch primer 3 coats of satin black later Cracked a can of V and got the front bumper off, working in the street is getting really old really quick. Airbox out and hose clamps disconnected Mounted up and plumbed up, thankfully the blue silicon is not visible when the bar is back on All finished! Front bar on and everything back together! Started it up and tested for leaks and took it for a test drive, as expected there was next to no difference while running more or less stock boost but thankful that the blitz will hold up when i start to lean on the motor a little more and push some extra boost!
