    f**k...
  2. You could answer all of your questions with information both on this forum and on google but okay... Buy the GTT and live with 2wd or buy a GTR Turbocharging your NA GT-4 is not really a good idea, you'll need to buy a turbo engine, turbo, manifold, turbo lines, injectors, fuel pump, ECU intercooler and have it tuned before you can even drive it, then you'd probably want to upgrade your brakes to the turbo brakes Because you asked for costs ill give some estimates RB25DET NEO Engine $1500 (give or take, healthy low km or rebuild will throw costs out) Turbo $1000 (buy a turbo then send to hypergear for highflow) Manifold Stock or custom $50-1000 3" exhaust $500+ Turbo Lines $200 Injectors $600ish Fuel rail $250ish Fuel pump $150-250 ECU too many variables from nistune to standalone Z32 afm + plug if required $100-300 Intercooler $200-500 Tune $600+ Turbo piping as none of the NA stuff will work, budget $400 If you want 300kw from an R34 GTT just buy one, front mount highflow turbo and 3" exhaust with a nistune will net you that.. almost anyway Intercooler $200-500 Turbo $750 (send to hypergear and highflow) 3" exhaust $500+ Injectors $600ish ECU too many variables from nistune to standalone Tune $600+
  3. Not the end of the world Are you pulling the engine apart? if yes as stated get it hot tanked and it will be fine, it's pretty normal for corrosion like this in engines, especially cast iron blocks If you're not planning on pulling it apart, make sure you replace all the parts that you can in the water system, new water pump, thermostat etc... once it's back in the car make sure you use a coolant flush once or twice before really driving it

Ouch, no insurance? that's gonna hurt for a looooong time Glad you're alright mate
  5. Hypergear High Flow turbo is on it's way! Couldn't thank Stao from hypergear enough, more than helpful and replied to my email last night at about 11pm, awesome service
  6. Excuse my curiosity, what's the issue with doing that? I'm assuming it corrodes the aluminium?
  7. Rub it back with scotch brite or sandpaper, clean up with wax and grease remover, Coat with primer, sand back a little, coat with paint, 2-3 coats will do! Worked fine for me
  8. That's a massive hit, would suck to come home from holidays to see that
  9. Love the GTR wing, looks much better
  10. Awesome, you must be excited! - Best of luck, let us know how it goes
  11. Looking good mate, huge improvement! What are you doing with the variable cam? any reason you didn't want to run it? sorry if you've answered this already
  12. I'm not a mechanic or apprentice or anything, just love playing with cars and i found the rb25 piss easy to work on, you should be fine just make sure you put the coolant hoses under the inlet plenum on correctly because they're a bitch to fix when the engine is back in the car!
  13. Should fit, yeah will look shit but if it's only to roll around then it's fine If worst comes to worse just slap a 5mm slip on spacer till you get it home or wherever your wheels are
  14. I'm not a panel beater by any means but i don't think it's completely gone That said, could be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand one and have it painted because those supports along the corner are also bent which may be hard to fix due to it being alloy as you've mentioned
  15. I actually don't mind it! They're asking drug money for the thing and i wouldn't buy one if i had that much to drop on a fun car but it's certainly different/cool in my opinion anyway!
  16. This car is cool, love your attitude
  17. Took the car for it's first drive to get some fuel and wash it, which was great! until i was driving home and floored it in 3rd, all was well until about 5k rpm when even though my foot was on the accelerator the car shuddered and fluttered and my boost gauge went straight to 0PSI, odd Pulled around the corner to check for intercooler piping, no issues found, i started the car back up and the turbo sounded absolutely f**ked, like putting a bag of bolts into a can and throwing at someone f**ked.. i limped the car back home as i was only around the block.. ah well shit happens Parked the car on the gutter and left it for a few days while i weighed up my options.. Got to work pulling the GT-RS out, i bought it second hand so this day was eventually going to come, i just thought it'd last you know more than a day.. oh well Made an absolute mess and spilt coolant everywhere, oops Finaly it was out, the bearing was f**ked and was hard to spin, there was also a lot of shaft play For the time being i grabbed a stock RB25 turbo from a wrecker and slapped that in Works fine for now. Spoke to JEZ about it, he suggested just running waste gate pressure if i need to move the car at all but I'm going to be ordering a high flow R33 turbo to go in, and it's getting the tune fixed up next month took it for a test lap around the block and down to the servo, temps, pressures and drives perfectly fine, afr's are good but I'm not gonna push my luck It's not all bad, the exhaust sounds great and i can have a conversation in the car without raising my voice!
  18. You'll get a lot more enjoyment chasing response and sound from an NA than trying to make that extra 5kw - Chasing power with NA's gets really expensive really quickly As much as i love a high revving NA engine screaming it's head off, i don't feel RB is the best base to start, something like a 4AGE would yield better results/$
  19. It's a secret JDM model VL
  20. you guys Blocking your BOV will cause air to be release back through the turbo which creates the dose sound, you can amplify the sound by using a metal intake pipe, pod filter etc etc
  21. Got as many nismo stickers as KW it would seem
  22. As stated, you really can't.. you simply need the extra size to do it's job correctly If you want a side mount your options are really limited to the R34 stock side mount but even then it's not that much of an upgrade, or the ARC sidemount which is said to be okay as an upgrade, and is able to handle a little extra boost but you'll find things getting hot if you push it too much, and with the cost of those you might as well purchase a front mount Have you considered a turnflow style front mount cooler?
  23. Thanks I got my full licence back in April
  24. On a side note, you'll find most of these and many other factory warning/information stickers still available brand new on amayama, you just have to poke around a bit
