Precision Billet Turbos
The real NISMO1 replied to R32GTR/Iceland's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Micheal Sold the T78 and the bloke is happy, crap it was just about new, well 5 years ago and only 3000Klms on the car since it was installed No I did not get your PM as it would come in on this Laptop, it does not allow me to gain access to anything other than threads and posts, but better than nothing. If you would like get me as TT350GT I can access everything on my PC. I have caught the Mod bug and going to have the RB30/Nitto 3.2 Stroker kit shoved into it, keeping the PT6262 may get a bigger back housing and go for response, it is a DD and I want it to be what I thought it was when I bought it. I have to say that since the last modifications I got to love it but need more and might have to come out of retirement to pay for it,bloody cars ,haha -
Building An Rb26 For Response....

I do not think my driving is a real danger to the driveline. I think with the new set up I am sure I will give it some but not like a boy racer. But one never knows, I thought my last mods would be enough but it was not , so here I am again talking about a bigger build, got me stuffed?? -

I do not drop it anymore , I did when I first got the car there are blokes on the forums that say build it and step off, but 5 minutes here listening to some blokes that had a brain I stopped that and always load it first. Not sure if I should see how the box is with the quad clutch or bite the bullet and just go for one that is not as hard on the box. -

XGTRX , I have looked some more and you are right there is a bang waiting to happen Starting to find out a few things and one of them is change the Quad for something a bit softer and more forgiving on the box. This is why I joined the site, to get help with things I do not know about or fully understand. It is a learning curve, it is easy not to look ahead at what some changes will make with something else, bloody cars, haha Thanks Pete -
Hi Paul, took the kids up the coast for a few days. I do not know the brand name as it came with the APS Twin Turbo System and just said ""Back Cat Exhaust" sounds great and I am sure it flows reasonably well as they want to make work as a unit. Here is a couple of the black R34 and one reason black is OK if they get dirty, you can clean them all over again .

From what I could find out, once you get something like 3.2 stroker you will need the air to flow free at the top end or it could choke. But interfere with your response? maybe help it? -

Never heard of them and I will check out your web site, why isn't everyone using them , cost too much, not reliable, hard to get, load of crap or not in the main stream yet? Must be a great Turbo to be able to do that but how do the standard motors like it and without all of the other things that combine to make a tough fast car reliable? -

The real NISMO1 replied to Antimatter's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Duncan That is basically what he said, it will be torquey, but the head work will also give me some extra top end power. I was not really wanting to know about the head work, I was asking about the total build in general. It is going to have a lot of response and with the head work it should keep going at higher revs. I was told by a bloke I respect that I should change the cams to 260 x 10.8 and I am thinking of doing that but I would like to know how it will be with the list I posted???????? Thanks Pete -

Yes CRD, I am under the impression they are pretty good at what they do and what they have done with many cars and I am happy with what they have done for me There have been a couple of comments but no one has said what it will be like, good or bad -

Hi , It is Pete , I am away from my PC and cannot answer as TT350GT. I have asked Jim to quote on the Quaife diff and we will go from there. Just drove up the coast to Port Macquarie , great day for a drive and even with the last mods it was fun. Lucky though , as I stick to the speed limit but the bloke in front got knocked off for 20 over , lucky me -
Hi Paul That blue on the 350GT looks different in changing light, I have had that for 7 years, just a great car to drive even though it is an auto and with the Twins I put on and the torque of the V6, it flies I am going to sell it after I do the rebuild of my r34 with the Nismo 3.2Lt stroker on a RB30 block :)building it for torque The cover is a showroom model and has a soft, fluffy underside and as it gets lowered onto the car, that in MY mind helps prevent marks as you are not dragging it over the car to put it on.I will wash it every 6 months but I guess that depends what happens after the first wash, might end up in pieces in the machine, haha I think the main problem people have with covers, they cover them outside in the weather and between wind, rain and the grime the cover absorbs it will scrub your paint. I have only had the cover on for a month and have not noticed any problem and hope it stays like that, I think I will still wash it every couple of week because I use it just about every day and crap build up and that will cause marks even with a good cover. BUT I love the black look. But that blue is great, well in photos as I have not seen one on the street.

Sorry I have some private posts but I cannot open anything private on my laptop under Nismo1 ?? bloody laptop But I can open threads and posts? -
Yeh I know what you are saying, I have a silver Tiida that I drive the kids around in and that looks cleaner after a month than the Black R34 after a few days, my blue 350GT also looks cleaner after a month BUT I love the black R and waiting for my Advan RS-D Machine/gloss 18x 10.5 black rims to finish it off I made a cover system that is easy to put on and off in a minute so all good now

Building An Rb26 For Response....
The real NISMO1 replied to Antimatter's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
HI Guys, had way too much to drink , but here we go All good, if I cannot get the R34 to go better than my 350Gt TT I will sell it and cop the loss. The 350 is a very enjoyable ride except it is Auto/(tiptronic is a waste of space)and the only reason I bought an auto was if we went out the missus could drive home, after I put the APS Twin Turbo system on she only drove it one more time, she would not drive it again after putting her foot down, scared the crap out of her, now, no missus, so got a manual ASAP = R34GTR and what a gutless piece of shit it was up to 5k,then mad, much better now and I want more = 3.2 stroker. I thank you all for your past advice , now I need advice on who to get to build it. I need the job done in one shop, I need to drop the car off and pick it up finished, pay the bill and drive back to the bush. Apart from saying "do not do it" , any free advice welcome -
Building An Rb26 For Response....
The real NISMO1 replied to Antimatter's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi XGTRX I totally agree with you and I will rectify that by getting a run in a standard R34GTR, not to do it was dumb as I am sure with the standard twin setup they would be very nice to drive BUT that did not happen and here I am I am sure that a standard R34GTR would not be a pig to drive as the car I bought, it was 337.8awkw and the worst car I have sat my ass in to drive, brake your neck at 6k to 10k , but very noisy at the lights trying to beat a golf cart across the road From what has been said they are not a responsive car without revs as most small motors.. BUT did the standard RB26 have to be modified to be a reasonable street car, shit is is old tech but at the time, great tech and I do not mean just speed, they had everything and the best car I watched kicking V8s asses:) But now I am here I will make the best of it, I use mods made for the Rs to get the response I want and this should not hurt anyone else, I am not modifying their car and when they get the cobwebs off for a drive I hope they enjoy it, I get mine spinning every day just to get off the heart machine -

HI Mick, thats what is all about, enjoying your ride, not worrying about someone else's car or what they are doing with it or what fn thread you are on, help them if you can, try to change their mind if what they are doing is really dumb. but at the end of the day, I have NEVER had a car I hated, I have pushed and sworn at them but as soon as they stared I am in love again:) I am sure I should not be on this site as I know nothing about your love for the RB26, as far as I am concerned I have a R34GTR and want it to do what I want , the same as your wife,I have been married 3 times so you can work out how that works, haha All you blokes that have helped me by stopping doing something or getting me to do something else, THANKS I think my attitude is not a SAU club one, and I have nothing to offer anyone, but I have enjoyed you company Enjoy your ride and F the rest
