I believe you and your opinion on these forums means a lot i think and you know your stuff but are you basing your writing off an entire range on just one instance or is there more proof that they are crap. I just want to know as i though that splitfire and autometer were in the same league and i havn't heard anything wrong with autometer.

Spiltfire = totally crap huh? i knew they wouldn't be the same quality as trust or hks or something but they were a birthday present and i thought they'd do the job.

right, i've got a 2 5/8ths boost gauge from splitfire and trying to figure out how to mount it if i cant get it into a a pillar holder.

is there such thing as a 2 5/8s pillar guage holder or not, all i can find is the smaller ones

Hi. tried to remove my right sideskirt yesterday but didn't quite know what i was doing. i got the 2 screws from the front and 2 from the back and also found one in the middle underneath part but it still wouldnt come off. i suspect it just kind of needs to be snapped out of position cause i dont think there were anymore screws holding it in place but i'm too scared to treat my baby with such disrespect. is this the way to go about it or is there something i am missing. Anyone know who can fix a turbo timer in sydney? it was working fine but now the engine just shuts down like normal when turned off. think its just a fuse thing.

Hi all. i'm looking at this alarm and have a question. --------- http://www.mrtrally.com.au/performance/ --------- The TTA system from Tisonics has an inbuilt quality turbo timer with its own twin cut Immobiliser, glassbreak sensor, perimeter protection of boot, bonnet, doors, central locking management, anti scan remote controls, 130db siren. In this system the alarm and turbo timer work together. You simply pull up take the keys out , the motor is still running on the turbo timer, you press the remote and the car locks and is secure, once the motor stops it is immobilised with the std immobiliser and the TTA immobilisers, an effective 3 cuts. The system is that good that if you stopped at a shop and jumped out of the car taking your keys, but leaving the car unlocked and the motor timing out and you haven't pressed the remote to turn the system on. If a passerby jumps in and breaks the steering lock and tries to drive it on the turbo timer he will only get approx 1 metre as soon as the system detects the applicable wheel movement the alarm will activate itself setting of the flashers/siren and immediately cutting the motor and this is with the alarm off. With the alarm on you have total perimeter protection, glassbreak sensor (this is not affected by normal shocks like trucks going by) antihijack lock /unlock etc etc. -------------- with my current alarm i have a 3 point Immob will i lose this i i get this alarm? looks like a pretty good system

I also have the slight problem from 1st to 2nd and occasionally 3rd when the box is very cold first thing in the morning. Bought by redline oil over the weekend and my friendly neighborhood mechanic is putting it in as we speak. stay tuned..

Hi. Has anyone ever seen a black painted bonnet on a silver skyline? The reason i ask is i have a dented bonnet on my 33 S1 GTSt and I am about to get a hold of another one but its the wrong color. I have to spray it silver but then the guards have to get resprayed and possibly the doors as well cause its very hard to get silver quite right. So i'm thinking it will be cheaper to just get the bonnet done plus it might look pretty schmick Now i am considering giving it the black carbon firbrey look but am wondering. 1. Will black and silver look alright (i know black and white looks sweet) and 2 will it be too ricey? whatayathink?

lol should have been clearer, 2 5/8 is the larger size of the splitfire and autometer gauges.

Can you make all BOV's plumbback, or only specially designed ones? i am not a riceboy but dont have a big adversion to the noise as long as it only comes on when boosting. But i dont really want a atmo venting one as i couldnt be bothered with the hassle from the cops yes i will be running large amounts of boost on occasion

Another thing i'd like to know if you guys are familiar with is that after i initially stall when i turn the ignition back on it starts like normal and the revs jump up to about 1000 or so but then they drop straight away causing it to stall again.
