Is The Rb20 Det 2.4 Liter Upgrade Worth It?

I have discovered 3rd gear in my car. I have discovered how well I can build up speed before going into 4th when on the street and high way. I am learning each day how to drive and use the car. I am understanding how to use the rpms better and how the rb20 likes to rev. I dont know what hp I am at with my current mods, but my turbo seems to be fighting hard and doing well. I have the EVC 5 and I have it set to 13.9 as the cut off. It cuts off at the psi, but somehow if I floor it, I always hit 15.7 psi. I am wondering if I have a freak turbo or if what I am experincing is normal. I am learning how to drive into my upper rpms without going into boost. I am hitting bost around 2.5, 6 now and whenever I hit 4000 rpm (when boosting) my car just takes off and I am holding on. So I am wondering what it will be like with a rb 25 turbo, the EVC, and later bigger fuel pump and injectors(if I get it tuned with the rb25 turbo before I get a bigger turbo. -

26 psi? Did you have it tuned? Or did you just slap a big turbo on there? stock turbo? RB25 turbo? Hmm, 26 wouldnt be bad but the average price for them are about 2500 american dollars and up. All of the yanks are getting them and they are being sold to the states alot now, the 25 year rule for cars are in effect for the R32 GTRS now. Prices for the car have shot up here at many places. -

Hello, Yes they check. Plus most shops wont touch your car if you are not doing legal stuff. Most of those are your retail or car dealships and some private shops. Shops here have reputations they keep up. Their name means alot. theres lots of competition between the shops here. If I was to do a engine swap, I think a 26 is better and worth it. If I am to pay extra registration fees and road taxes, etc. I would rather have a rb26. What does everyone think of a RB26 swap? -

Pod intake, full turbo back 3inch exhaust with a sports cat, stock turbo with EVC 5 boost controller set to 13.9 psi, greddy blow off valve, front mount return flow intercooler. Going to buy 550 injectors, walbro or Tomei fuel pump(have a GTR one but havent put it in), turbo(most likely hi flowed) have a rb25 turbo which I put a nipple the compressor side(which every side doesnt have the 2nd nipple that the rb20 det has, it so I will not have to tap a line into the intake pipe.I havent put the turbo on yet, metal head gasket, arp studs, z32 afm, Tomei Poncams and Tomei adjustable cam gears soon. After that Ill pick one of the tuners Ive been talking to. -

Clutch Questions Before Install

I was told that the clutch plate can be used with the stock clutch cover. So I cannot use the Nismo Clutch Plate without the Nismo Clutch cover? Are the covers different? I thought the Nismo one was only reinforced. -

Computer Options For Rb20 Det Questions
yoshiii335 replied to yoshiii335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
These are the computers that the different shops said that they use. The shops use a specific computer. So depending on what shop I use is what computer I will have. Do you mean too much lag from 400 hp on the street? I don't mean whp. -

Yahoo action has it and I went to Tomei about three weeks ago and they still sell the parts, pistons, rods, head gasket, etc. Not sure of the brand in the states. Sold by a company called Raw Brokerage. -

Don't have the prices in front of me right now. If I remember correctly: To have a shop put it in is about 500-1000 dollars ( quality of work and shop varies) Most good shops here are expensive. Have to find a decent RB25 and make sure it works. About 800-1000 dollars. Price of whatever after market turbos, etc. Price? Registration between 500-1000 dollars(unless I was told wrong.) Yearly road tax, about 200 dollars a year. We have to pay a reregistration fee every two years also which will go up in price with the bigger engine. Its 800 dollars for me with the rb20. -

There is a state side company that sells kits for it. Here there are still the parts needed for the conversion available. -
Hello I am talking to different tuners here in Japan about tuning my car. Have to talked some shops about Nistune, Power FC, stock computer mod, and F Con. Also I am thinking about the E-Manage Blue. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the different computers and which one is probably better for my situation. I have a rb20 Det that will be tuned for 400hp street with the proper parts.

Hello I have been talking to different tuners here in Japan and one of them suggested a 2.4 litre upgrade kit for my RB20 Det. Are these worth it or is it better to build up my 20 with the normal 2 litre? My goal is 400 hp for the street. I am not going RB25 because of the costs of registering the car, paying the extra to the government for the engine change and the doubling of the yearly road tax fees here which is expensive.

Hello I have a chance to buy a R34 Gtr Nismo G-Max Coppermix clutch for about 300 dollars. Will this fit on a R32 GTS-T? I researched it and cannot find a yes or no answer or anything detailing it. I notice that some companies like ORC, some of their clutches can be used on any RB engine.(according to the car fitment charts on their site.)
