  1. have you tried my clean with the dremil drill jobbie? i reckon give that a crack before you spend $600 on new ones.
  2. sounds like dieing fuel pump to me.
  3. as long as you're alright Liz! you could always buy the car back off the insurance company that pays you out. THERES STILL HOPE!
  4. a quiet achiever in slide's turbo range is the biagio turbo. i was going to go for one of these before i decided on the hiflow (i was too lazy for something that didnt just bolt on).
  5. if i had 10k id realise it would probably never happen again and take a trip overseas. working on your car slowly is the best thing. ive had mates spend 20k in one hit, get bored and sell and start over. ive spent around 15k over the last few yrs and id stab anyone who told me to sell. or at lest get into it yourself. i did my rebuild myself and i think thats the major reason why i wouldnt sell her. spending 10, 20, 30k and coming out of it knowing sfa is a real waste. p.s. do an rb30.
  6. im from bankstown too champ. i know pretty much everyone from the area. who are you and what are you lining up?
  7. check out the trader kudos motorsports in the for sale section
  8. then your tuner should have it all under control.
  9. your tuner will tune the car to its potential. so if he thinks it can take more than 1 bar then he'll turn it up. from the sounds of your setup, it will depend on the maximum allowable flow of your turbo. also, you havent listed an AFM in your list. is it still standard? if so, you might be restricted with the power you make.
  10. at least you got my good side
  11. rough weights (using dodgy kitchen scales): rb26 - 450g without gudgeon pin 575g with gudgeon pin rb25 - 460g without 570g with
  12. the two studs/nuts have been cross threaded. shit happens. this might have been caused by you putting them on wrong, or the threads on the studs/nuts not matching, or even being way over tightened. just be careful next time. when removing a wheel, i jack it up a tiny bit then crack/loosen the bolts while its on the ground (always doing opposites), then jack it up then undo it all the way. when putting it back on, (again doing opposites) i tighten the bolts slightly to around 30% torque while the wheel is in the air, then drop the car and do them up all the way.
  13. i was going to bring a football but i was running so damn late i forgot it!
  14. go me. so he left the wire unplugged?

  20. i might need a navigator tomorrow. ill know in the morning.

  22. ill be using standard injectors for my tune too, with just an safc2.. std afm. i'll be maxing out the afm and injectors within safe limits till i get something better.

  24. i read that he upgraded the springs after a short while so maybe now theyre harder which would explain how theyre less sensative. mine does the same thing.
