  1. yeah ive spoken to SK about grabbing a set off him, but i just want something a bit cheaper till i can get some coilovers OR a complete set off SK with swaybars etc, because i know if i only get fronts off SK now i wont get the rears and swaybars later on. ill look into KYB shocks, i just want something to get me around. thanks guys.
  2. well these are my 2nd set of front shocks that have blown on me. i just need a set of shocks that wont stuff up on me because now my ride feels like im driving a big assed kangaroo on the juice. what are shocks i can get in sydney? im just looking for a firm ride, but dont really want to spend big $$ right now on suspension till i can get myself a pair of coilovers. used doesnt phase me as long as they dont break.
  3. theres always yellow...
  4. 13.903 @ 101mph 60' was 2.154
  5. new 1/4 is 13.9 for me. ill have new power figures in around 2 weeks, after i install my new turbo and get a tune.
  6. happy birthday mate

  8. she did say it happens when shes taking off so its not the common misfiring problem. it could be your: CAS AFM spark plugs coil packs. do the spark plugs if you havent already. take your AFM out and spray with carby cleaner. do my coil pack fix, and try swap your CAS with someone else with an r33. if you can get your hands on someone else's CAS, then do that first. if you were in syd i'd be able to give you a hand.
  9. slide makes highflow vg30 turbos (which is the name of the turbo off the vlt). oil and water lines do line up, and as mentioned the banjo bolts and banjo fittings need to be redrilled. they are good for around 250rwkw with the highflow. to get more info i'd suggest speaking to Slide.
  10. magnetic sump plug would be a good idea too.
  11. you should be fine, if you werent, you would've spun a bearing. just dont drive it till you get a new sump plug. you've got around 4.5L of oil in your motor, the bottom of the dip stick indicates you'll have around 3-3.5L left. no dramas as long as you weren't hammering it on a track.
  12. im officially out. turbo oil seal is goneskis, and i dont like low oil pressure
  13. sounds electrical to me. my auto did that but only between 2nd and first. in r33's there is a bunch of looms near the washer bottle/fuse box. clean up the connections, try blow them out with a blower, then tighten them so the pins sit snugly in the connection. it worked for me and fixed all my gearbox problems i had.
  14. blue smoke is oil, white is condensation and black is unburnt fuel. blue is no good, white is ok, black means you're running rich.
  15. not really while at the early stages, he said he's getting 2/3 up the gauge so thats around 5-6bar so it is still holding a bit of pressure. i'm only throwing the idea up as a possibility.
  16. it could be a blown oil seal in your turbo. low oil pressure could be caused by this. open up your intercooler pipe connected to the front mount and check if theres oil in your pipes.
  17. theres no such thing as being a worrysome grandmother when it comes to oil pressure. get it tested by a mechanic who has a manual oil pressure tester asap. it should be at least past the 6bar mark under load. if it all checks out ok, then replace your oil pressure sender unit. what oil are you using? thin oil tends to read lower oil pressure.
  18. hey guys, i've come up with a fix that looks so far to be working, but as my last 2 attempts have been wrong i'd like to get other people to do what ive done as its not a fix untill i know it fixes the problem so who ever has an auto with this problem and is willing to try something to fix it can you post up on here so we can try and get some solid results.
  19. good work mate. keep us posted on how it goes. the silicon might melt, so keep an eye on it somehow. if it does melt, you might get away with pushing some araldyte into the crack as much as you can.
  20. all we need now is more people to test and see if this works for them.
  21. bump
  22. wack on a supercharger instead. im sure theres more support for this for v6 and v8 holdens... plus theres alot less stuffing around.
  23. in my old car i had a 400w amp which powered very freaken well, awesome bass out of a shitty xplod sub. it ran strong for 4yrs till i sold the car. one of their decks were a factory release into a european car, im not sure which one though.
  24. when it comes to spark it could be (mainly) coil packs and spark plugs. so give it a go and while you're at it check your spark plug gap.
