  1. yeah i dont think it'll be a good idea to do that either. in the instruction manual for the davies craig trans cooler kit i got, it said to do that just to determine which hose is the feed and which is the return. also, the car only did the getting stuck in first thing once today. i want to take my valve body off and give it a clean. i plan to run my car down the 1/4 and i dont want it happening to me then either. i'll post up the guide soon
  2. i didnt even bother trying for the torque converter. just did a filter clean. i wanted to take my valve body off and give it a clean but i couldnt be bothered at the time. the oil change has almost wiped out my 'getting stuck in 1st' problem, it used to do it almost 15 times a day. it only did it a few times earlier tonight, and by the end of the night it was running smooth.
  3. spotted MR 3000 (r33 gtr) and a 4 door r33 on parramatta road on the way back from the city at around 12-1 last night.
  4. i changed it, it seemed to be around 3-3.5L, also consider ive got an aftermarket oil cooler. i might do a DIY on how to do all this including how to clean out the filter as i took pics as i went along. let me know if there is any interest and i'll put it all together. cheers.
  5. hey guys, im just wondering about how i would go about cleaning the valve body on my auto box. is it just a matter of pulling it out and giving it a scrub? also, what is the oil capacity of the auto box in the r33 gtst's? cheers.
  6. something has to be wrong.. ive got a turbo back, fmic, pod, running 10-12psi on standard turbo tuned with an safc and i made 191rwkw. it could be your timing. my timing was way out when i got the tune. it went from 165kw to 186kw after he adjusted my timing, then went from there.
  7. happy birthday mate
  8. i havent heard any complaints for any auto gtst drivers, including myself. my car is running 190ish kw on simple mods and its taken out sti's, supra's and the like. i wouldnt get advice on the auto box from someone who hasnt driven one. i love my auto. only problem is the auto wont take much more than 250ish kw. there is a group buy going on for a valve body upgrade. i'd recommend one of those if you keep the auto.
  9. green should be for the sensor, the white one should connect to the lights (so it dimms when you turn your lights on). thats how it is on mine. my gauges look similar. best way to find out is to connect the black/red normally then tap the white and green wire to a known +ve to see if which one is for the dimmer.
  10. hahahahahahaha sex bomb sex bomb.. you're my sex bomb... etc etc.
  11. woops.. just realised every car ive seen happen to it has been FWD hence why i said in the engine my bad.
  12. g-trim and doran pro audio are moving to a workshop in ingleburn together (not sure if in the same shop or next to each other). give them a ring anyway.
  13. what was wrong with my response? in my experience, every time someones speedo has stopped it has ALWAYS been the speedo cable in the engine bay.
  14. hmm.. im using an n1 oil pump on the stock rb25 crank with no dramas.
  15. check the engine loom, there should be one that isnt connected. im not sure which one it is, but your mechanic should be able to pick it out straight away.
  16. to confirm where the noise is coming from you can get a stethescope and put it up against your block or head to find out for sure (your mechanic will know where its coming from anyway). it could be your bottom end or it could be a dodgy lifter, but from what you're explaining it sounds to be your bottom end time for a regrind.
  17. i ran a 14.01 when #6 went bang while doing the pre-drag burnout. i didnt realise till 3/4 track that it had blown and i let off.... still managed a 14 on stock 205's though.
  18. notice how their thickness increases?
  19. checked the fuse box in the boot?
  20. im pretty sure most matreials expand with heat. either that or i should've failed material science. it doesnt matter when you check it, just make sure you've got that 1cm of play. cheers.
  21. i was thinking of hooking mine up to the dimmer switch on the dash. that way you could adjust the brightness. im not too sure if it'll work but im going to give it a shot.
