does anyone know where i could get my hands on one for a day to pull my motor out and a another day to put it back in? im looking at hiring one for a 1/2 day but i dont really know where to go.

i didnt buy that piece of my kit for a reason... i want my oil cooler sitting there

they're idiots. type in carmate in the search thingo and you'll see alot of posts of me bagging them out. i think the only reason they're nice to interstate buyers is they cant see the producs quality beforehand. they dont know what customer service is either. the only reason i ever go in is seeing whats new so i can get it from somewhere else. jetspeed have better customer service (which still isnt saying much), their bars could do with a bit more material but at least they fit.

torque wrenches are used because an engineer has specified at which maximum torque the bolts are most effective. if you over tighten then you'll get too much tension in the bolt and it'll eventually stretch and/or warp till it falls off. too little and bla bla bla etc etc...

ive chopped my front intrusion bar for my fmic. i'll be welding some extra steel from the side bracket thingo to the front intrusion bar, then a flat bar across to give it some more tensile strength. ill post pics once its all done

i'd still go and get your sender replaced to make sure. its not something you want to take a gamble on. justjap sell oil pressure gauges which include the sender in the pack for $50. cheap insurance if you ask me... very cheap.

yeah its coming back out mate, im machining the crank and using oversize bearings so it should go back together nice and smooth.

my parents bought my first car, the motor and gearbox in my first car, my second car, my third car, and my fourth car, they werent expensive cars, i bought my r33 for 11,000 and all the work thats gone into it i've paid for... i used to work for my parents so i needed a car to get around. as the business picked up they'd buy me a better car, it was their way of saying thankyou for all of the work i did for them (i practically ran the business). with my kids i plan on making sure they earn their car. its one less hassle they need to worry about going through their studies. and i dont want them working just to pay a car off. i believe by getting them a car they'll be making a clear choice on their future without things like wanting to buy a car making them choose to leave school and start working before they finish.

yeah thats wat im saying.. get some oil cooler hose and slip it over which ever pipe you want, just make sure its the right dia. for it to be a snug fit. oil cooler hose is pretty heavy duty stuff.
